ALBION

•Johnston, Jason M., US Army Specialist Jason M, Johnston, age 24, stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina died suddenly December 26, 2009, while defending his Nation in Afghanistan. He was born in Rochester, December 10, 1985, to Brad and Jeanine (Schicker) Johnston and had lived in Albion most of his life. Jason was a United States Army Specialist E-4 serving with the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division, 4th Regimental Combat Team. He was also a member of the American Legion, the VFW, Holy Family Parish - St. Joseph’s Church and the Albion Fire Department. Jason enjoyed Country music, cowboy hats and liked to sing, dance, and be goofy - causing people to smile and laugh. He cherished his friends and his sisters and had always wanted to be a soldier. Jason loved what he was doing … he felt it his duty to serve his Country. He is survived by his father: Brad Johnston of Albion; his mother: Jeanine Johnston of Albion; his sisters: Carrie (Travis) Riley, Holly Johnston, and Heather Johnston, all of Albion; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said January 5 in Holy Family Parish - St. Joseph’s Church. Interment with full military honors in Mt. Albion Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Albion Fire Department, COVA, or the Orleans County Veterans Service Agency in his memory.


BERGEN

•Fisk, Betty J., On January 4, 2010. Predeceased by her husband Farrel R. Fisk (Tink). She is survived by her daughters Donna Maynard, Deborah Fisk (Scott) Ykshe; grandsons Daniel and Robert Maynard; granddaughter Haley Ykshe; nine great-grandchildren; brother Thomas (Dorothy) Pryor; sister Elinor Hazen; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held January 9 at Fowler Funeral Home Inc., Brockport. Private interment. Contributions can be made to the Bergen Ambulance Corps in her memory.


BROCKPORT

•Bianchi, Samuel G. “Sam,” December 29, 2009. Survived by his wife, Patty; sons, Doug (Ann), Dominick (Helen), Sean (Tracey) and Michael (Stacey); daughters, Cheryl (Howard), Lisa (Nick) and Linda (Jackson); 10 grandchildren; sisters, Beverly, Barbara (Stanley) and Kass (Rich); nieces, nephews and special friends. Sam was a member of the Teamsters’ Union #118.

A Funeral Mass was said January 4 at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.


•Garlock, Robert A. “Andy,” Suddenly on December 29, 2009. Predeceased by his father Fletcher M., brothers Dayton, Samuel M. and Fletcher T. Garlock. He is survived by his mother Alice; brother Charles (Beth) Garlock; aunt, uncle, cousins and nieces.

Interment will be private. Contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.


•Johnston, Ronald K., Age 75, unexpectedly December 29, 2009. Survived by his wife Laura Jean of 51 years; brothers Malcom (Betty) and Duane (Dorothy) both of Grampain, Pennsylvania; sister Ruth (Paul) Pennington of Culpepper, Virginia; four nieces; three nephews; two aunts.

Funeral Services were held December 31 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Holley. Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Pennsylvania. Donations can be made to Lakeside Memorial Hospital or a charity of one’s choice in his memory.


•Sauls, Joanne E., On December 28, 2009, at the age of 49. Predeceased by her father Ensign, brother Graydon, and sister Deborah. She is survived by her mother Georgia, sister Barbara Graves, nephews Timothy and Patrick Dudley.

Interment will be private.


•Sabo, Julius “Joe,” Suddenly on January 2, 2010, at age 85. Predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Eileen VanStone Sabo on December 13, 2009, his parents Antal and Elizabeth Sabo, his sons Anthony Sabo, Jamie Sabo, his daughter Julie Sabo Goldberg, his sister Irene Sabo and his brothers Edward and Albert Sabo. He is survived by his brother Tony Sabo; sisters Betty Tuttle and Frances Scott; his children: sons David Leonard and Matthew Sabo; daughter Elizabeth (Michael) Grey; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Reichert, Sheila Velitovich, J.R. Cahoon, Susann (Anthony) Postell, David Leonard, John-Eric Cahoon, Raymond Goldberg, Emily (Shawn) Koresko and James Goldberg; 12 great-grandchildren; several beloved nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Joe was a veteran of WWII. He was awarded five Bronze Stars as a corporal in General George S. Patton’s Fourth Armored Division, and valiantly fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked at Brockport Central Schools for 25 years and has been retired for 29 years.

•Schell, Raymond M., On January 4, 2010. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann; his daughter Marlene Schell; brother, Timothy (Joyce) Bowersox; sisters Ethel C. Schell, Pauline Steffen, Violet Hummel and several nieces and nephews.

•Werner, Sharon A., On January 6, 2010 at the age of 65. Predeceased by her parents Glenn and Doris Hill, grandchildren Michael, Brittney and R.J. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years Edward James; children Deborah (Nick) Pietropaolo, Tyler Prashaw, Bobbie Jo (Wes) Jacobs, Melinda Hagar and Robert Prashaw; eight grandchildren; siblings Eugene, Ervine, Alvin, Peter, Shirley, Glenn, Sharlene, Donnie; brother-in-law Gary (Mary Rose) Werner; sister-in-law Charlene Ellis; many nieces, nephews and many friends.

•Willis, John R. Sr., of Brockport and Holiday, Florida. On January 3, 2010 at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth; his son John Jr. (Virginia) of Florida; daughters, Ruth Ann (Bradley) Bane, Mary (David) Short of Florida, Carol (Tyler) Wilbur; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Catherine McDonald of Arizona and brother Joseph of Ireland.

•MacIntosh, Roger W., December 28, 2009, age 65. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Mary Jane McIntosh. Survived by his loving wife, Pat; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Tracey MacIntosh; brother and sister-in-law; and many other relatives and friends. Roger was a 26-year member of Local 435.

•Coffee, William O., Age 92, December 27, 2009. Predeceased by his wife, Betty; son, Thomas; sister, Beth Schreiber. •DeRue, George J., Unexpectedly December 30, 2009, just eight days before his 100th birthday. George is the founder and C.E.O. of Geo. DeRue Contractor, Inc. Predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Helen (Froelich) DeRue; brothers, Peter DeRue, Philip DeRue and John DeRue. He is survived by his children, Earl (Dolores) DeRue Elaine DeRue, John (Linda) DeRue; seven grandchildren, Cheryll (William) Irwin of Bakersfield, Vermont, Laura (John) Gardner of Lyons, Douglas (Angela) DeRue, E. Michael G. DeRue, Debra (Michael) Haskins, Melanie (Thomas) Lavacca and Corey DeRue; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Abram DeRue of Fairport; many nieces and nephews.

•Ingham, Colin Matthew Scott, December 28, 2009, age 2 weeks. Beloved son of Scott and Tina (Geisler) Ingham. •LaBorie, Ronald W., December 15, 2009, age 72. Predeceased by his parents, Francis and Catherine LaBorie. Survived by his devoted wife, Janet (Cropsey) LaBorie; his children Jill (JP) St. Jacques, Keith LaBorie and Sharon LaBorie; his sister, Marilyn Shuten; two nieces, a nephew and several cousins. Ron graduated from Irondequoit High School and RIT.

•Peck, Leona (Hendershot), December 26, 2009, age 91. Predeceased by her husband, Elwood Peck, 2003. She is survived by her sons, Edward “Ted” (Marisa) Peck and Christopher Peck; grandchildren, Douglas, Jennifer (David Hart), David, Michelle (Dan O’Conner) Peck; great granddaughter, Ashley Nicole; two brothers Raymond and Edward (Sylvia) Hendershot; sister-in-law, Margaret Hendershot; many nieces and nephews.

HOLLEY

•Yoffredo, Rita M., age 89, died January 1, 2010, at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. She was born May 20, 1920, in Hulberton, a daughter of the late Peter and Jessie (DiMarco) Nenni and had lived in this area all of her life. Rita had worked for over 20 years in the cafeteria at Holley Central School.

Predeceased by her loving husband David; son-in-law Clarence “Butch” Drennen; brothers, Arthur, Alfred, William and Peter Nenni, sisters Lena Nenni, Dorina Mele, Delma Vendetta. She is survived by her beloved daughters Betty Drennen of Holley, Janet (Buddy) Passino of Brockport, Patty (Tom Foster) Harold of North Carolina. She was also the proud grandmother of Tina (Jeremy) Bullins of North Carolina, Kelly Schultz of Florida, Andrew (Jen Schenk) Yacono of North Carolina, Anthony Harold of Brockport; her brothers-in-law Bernard (Marlene) Yoffredo of Florida, Edward Carlo of Buffalo, Albert Yoffredo of Rochester; sister-in-law Delia Nenni of Albion; goddaughter Antoinette Brewer of Florida; loving caregivers David Simpson and Marcy Stevenson and several nieces and nephews.

•Cieslinski, James H., January 1, 2010. Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jayne; children, James (Tracey), Daniel (Katie), Kristi Cieslinski; grandchildren, Richard, Zachary, David, Joseph, Kaleb, Ryan, Kolton, Samantha; brother, Lawrence (Sandy); sister, Kathy Westerman; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John (Debbie) Parks; several nieces and nephews. •McKinney, Anna Elizabeth, July 5, 2004 - January 2, 2010. After a long courageous fight against leukemia, Anna McKinney, age 5, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Anna was loved and will be missed by her parents, Jeff and Jessie McKinney; two year old sister, Molly; maternal grandparents, Cathy and John Ventura; parternal grandparents, Christy and Jim McKinney; aunts Maggie and Cindy; uncle, Jeff; cousins, Ryan and Joshie; many friends and extended family.

•Ambeau, Robert M., of Macedon, formerly of Spencerport, died January 2, 2010 at age 80. Predeceased by his son Ronnie. Survived by his wife Catherine; children, Lawrence (Vickie) Ambeau, Diane (Stephen) Schirano, Doreen (Ronald) Reuter; seven grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held January 7 at St. John’s of Rochester, Fairport. Burial, St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Spencerport. Masses can be offered or a donation can be made to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.


•Fuller, John M., On December 28, 2009, at the age of 85. Predeceased by his wife Doris. He is survived by his son Evan (Shelagh) of Arizona and granddaughter Alexandria. John was a Kodak employee for 40 years.

•Lockwood, Russell W., December 25 at age 61. Predeceased by parents George and Mona (Beehler) Lockwood. Survived by his children, David (Euretta) of Albion, Brian (Wendy Brown) of Lyndonville, Lorrie (Jeff) Reigle of Kent; grandchildren: Kevin, Derek and Dustin Lockwood, Jessica and Jenna Reigle, Allana Raymos.
