AREA

•Gosnell, Harry T., age 91, of Sebring, Florida, formerly of Parma, died December 27, 2008. He was predeceased by his wife, Nettie, 2007. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Dorothy Gosnell; four grandchildren, Rhonda Batchelder, Tamara Lever, Jim Dawson and Kim Evans; several brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held in the Spring at Parma Corners Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Parma Baptist Community Church in his memory.


ALBION

•Valentine, Iola, age 87, died January 8, 2009. She was predeceased by her brothers Mario, Elmer and Mendore Valentine; sister-in-law, Venzey Valentine. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Lillian Valentine of Brock-port, Betty Valentine of Fancher and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said January 12 at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Holley. Contributions can be made to Hospice of Orleans or an organization of one's choice in her memory.


BROCKPORT

•Hough, Emily D. (Vogel) (Schwalm), Age 69, on January 10, 2009. Predeceased by daughter, Beth (Heinz) Pakusch. Survived by loving husband of 28 years, Raymond; children David, Arthur (Kari), Gerald (Sherry), Shari (Andy) and Donnie (Wendi); 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren with another blessing on the way. Also survived by niece, Marie Wunch and sister-in-law, Ann Schwalm.

Donations in her memory can be made to Lakeside Memorial Hospital in Brockport or the Humane Society.


•Lane, Dorothy J., January 7, 2009. Predeceased by her husband, Gilbert; and her daughter, Joyce Winters. Survived by her children, Linda (John) Baker of Hamlin, James (Lisa) Lane, Larry (Hope) Lane; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Raymond (Jackie) Haller of Virginia, Leonard (Sharon) Haller; sister, Lorraine Airey of California; many nieces and nephews.

Per her request there will be no Funeral Services.


•Murphy, Merle B., On January 11, 2009. She is predeceased by her husband Francis, and is survived by her children Michael, Raymond, Joseph, Blossom (Mark) Vanderkarr, and Peter; sister Phyllis (Ralph) Bobzin; brother Kenneth (Joan) Blossom; brothers-in-law, Jim Gunn, Paul (Louise) Murphy; sisters-in-law Betty Blossom and Josephine Blossom; many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held January 16 at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Lifetime Assistance, Inc. in her memory.


CHILI

•Hannah, John H., of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; age 80, formerly of Rochester died January 10, 2009. John spent his last twenty years living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He served in the USMC, was a member of American Legion, former town supervisor of Town of Chili, and employed by Eastman Kodak for 35 years. Mr. Hannah was predeceased by his sister, Jean Kenny. Survivors include his wife, Jane; son, Bill (Ginger) from Atlanta, Georgia; daughters, Diane Fitzgerald, Karen (Paul) Milich and Carolyn (Dave) Edwards from Atlanta, Georgia, Mary Jean Robinson from Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania; sister, Isabelle Kellogg from Fairport; and eight grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.


CHURCHVILLE

•Acton, Robert L., January 9, 2009, at age 66. He is predeceased by his wife Joan (Brown) Acton and sister Cathy Acton. He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Lisa) Acton, Jerry (Nicole) Acton and Brian Acton; grandchildren, Andrew, Dean, Tyler, Jolie, and McKenna; siblings, Bill, Clint, Rod, Rick, Curtis, Melvin Acton, and Joni Ball; many nieces and nephews. Bob was a scout leader for over 20 years and was involved in youth sports as a coach and umpire.

Funeral Services were held January 14 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Churchville. Interment, Creekside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Churchville or Clifton Fire Department in his memory.


HILTON

•Mault, Kerry R., January 12, 2009, age 47. He is survived by his wife, Laurie (Lane) Mault; his parents, Duane and Doris (Mateer) Mault; children, Jeffrey Lane, Melissa (Patrick) Harvey, Robert (Nikole) Oakden; his sisters, Jessie (David) Brugger, twin Karal (Mark) Wingate, Tammy Mault (David Rowley); grandchil-dren, Kylie, John, Alexa, Damien Harvey and Charlie Oakden; three nephews, Ryan, Trevor and Kevin Brugger. Kerry was a retired US Navy Veteran and a Life Member of the Hilton Fire Department.

A Funeral Service was held January 17 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home Inc., Hilton. Contributions can be made to the Hilton Fire Department in his memory.


•Sherman, Richard William, 62, January 8, 2009. Predeceased by his parents, William and Mildred Sipple Sherman; and brother, James. Survived by his daughter, Stacy (Jason) Geppert; son, Shawn; companion Sandie Tubero; sister, Freda (Joe) Bullis; sister-in-law, Betty Sherman; nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. He was in the remodeling business and operated Dimar Remodeling. He served in the U. S. Army.

•Fulton, Kendrick R., On January 10, 2009. He is survived by his children Lisa (Robert) Potter, Darryl (Suzie), Dean "Beaver" (Denise); three grandchildren Nate, Brittnee, and Amber; several nieces and nephews.

•King, Maybell S., Age 71, January 12, 2009. Predeceased by mother Alma (Colquitt) Scott; sister Alvenia Scott Brown; brother Leroy Scott. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charlie L.; son Elvis (Alicia) King of Rochester; daughter Teresa King of Holley; father J. C. Scott of Lake Monroe, Florida; three grandchildren Justin, Brandon (Ariel), Ariana; one great-grandson; brothers Robert Lee (Phyllis) Scott, Ernest (Frances) Scott, Johnell Scott, Edwin Scott all of Lake Monroe, Florida; sisters Annie Mae (Sammie) Williams, Katie Mae Robinson, Gloria Jean Cumings, Connie Brown all of Lake Monroe, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

•Smith, Patrick F., January 10, 2009, at age 61. Predeceased by his father, Alfred E. Smith. Beloved husband and best friend of Donna Smith. Devoted son of Annette M. Smith. Loving brother of Sandra (Joe) DePauw-Ligotti, Deborah Smith, Tina (Gary Owen) Smith, Michael R. Smith and Tim Smith; special friend, Tom Farnsworth.

•Fairbank, Clara Bernice, January 11, 2009 at the age of 90. She is predeceased by her husband Raymond M. Fairbank; her sons Raymond L. and Merton E. Fairbank; daughter of the late George and Sylvina Fulford. She is survived by her children, June R. Andrews of West Melbourne, Florida and Elmer L. Fairbank of Dryden, New York; 20 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren

Funeral Services were held January 15 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Interment, Maple Grove Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.


•Fosmire, Albert E. "Joe," January 10, 2009, at age 82. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley (Williamson) Fosmire; three daughters, JoAnn (Gary) Davis, Mary Ann (Michael) Kinsky and Patricia (Christopher) Mattson; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

•Johnson, Margaret R. "Marge" (Plante), January 8, 2009. Predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Francis "Dye" Johnson. She is survived by her children Diane (Russ) and Thomas (Janet); her grandson Jeffrey Clark (fianceé Kathy Teeter); great-grandsons Aidan and Noah Clark; relatives and friends.
