•McAniff, Marcella C. (Kinsella), of January 17, 2009 at the age of 94. Pre-deceased by her husband Bernard F. McAniff; sister, Elizabeth Roach, Sr. Marie Bernard, SSJ; brother, Bernard Kinsella. She is survived by her daughters, Katharine (Kent) Oliver, Sheila McAniff; son, Fr. Bernard McAniff SJ; brother-in-law, Francis R. Dollard; nieces, nephews and a host of loyal friends. Marcella taught for many years in the Brockport and Irondequoit School system.

A Funeral Mass was said January 21 at St. Margaret Mary Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to The Arc Foundation of Monroe - James Mroczek Social Inclusion Fund, 985 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester 14620 in her memory.


•Reynolds, Lynn, my friend and husband and former anthropology professor at the College of Brockport, died January 16, 2009.

BROCKPORT

•Gramiak, Ingeborg A., January 16, 2009, at age 83. Predeceased by her husband, Raymond Gramiak, MD on May 27, 2002 and her mother, Anna E. Weber in 1997. Survived by her daughters, Carol Jay of Antwerp, Belgium and Ellen (Randy) Ebert of Ontario, New York; her sons, Peter Gramiak of Raleigh, North Carolina and Steven Gramiak of Holley; grandchildren, Kay Gramiak, Steve (fianceé Elizabeth Estrich)Ebert, Katie Ebert, Priscilla and Valerie Gramiak; great-grandson Jacob; sisters-in-law, Genevieve Nackoney of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Stephanie (Harry) Dinackus of Allentown, Pennsylvania; nephews Denny (Judy) Nackoney of Wellesley, Massachusetts, Ray (Patti) Nackoney of Lake Villa, Illinois, Tom (Lisa) Dinackus of Fairfax Station, Virginia and niece Ruth (Bob) McCullough of Montpelier, Vermont.

A Memorial graveside service and reception will be held at a later date to be announced. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Rochester Chapter, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester 14620.


•Schnell, Kempes Yoder, formerly of Brockport, died January 15, 2009 at his home in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. In 1963, he was appointed an Associate Professor of American History at the State University College in Brockport, and in 1966, achieved the rank of Professor, specializing in the era of the American Civil War. As student interest shifted in the 1980s, he changed his specialty to criminal justice history. In the 1980s, he also taught for two years in a student overseas program in London, England. He was an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Brockport. Retiring from full-time teaching in 1989, he and his wife, Ann, moved to a retirement community in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania in 1996. He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Julie Schnell (Rick) Halstead of Ashburn, Virginia; one sister, Mary (Denton) Croyle of Wadsworth, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held in the spring, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Memorials can be sent to the Kempes Schnell History Scholarship Fund, Brockport Foundation, 350 New Campus Drive, Brockport, NY 14420. Check should be made out to: Brockport Foundation and should indicate that it is to be deposited in the Kempes Schnell History Scholarship Fund, or the First Presbyterian Church in Brockport.


CHURCHVILLE

•Ray, Doris E. (Quinn), January 24, 2009 at age 90. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years Stanley R. Ray Sr. She is survived by her children Rex (Jean) Ray, Dianne (Bob) Arazy, Sandi Stoffel and Janice (Matt) Wagner; her grandchildren Sean (Linn), Shane (Chris), Jessica, Derek (Anna), Danielle (John), Kris (Jessica), Rob, Stacey (Tim) and Paul (Deb); nine great grandchildren; brother Van (Camille) Quinn; sisters Marian (Carl) Lang, Barb Hanf, Betty Blossom and Bev (Cyril) Hare; nieces, nephews and many caring friends at College Greene Apartments and her Tuna Tuesday Group. She was a member of Nolatka Chapter #320 O.E.S. and the Ladies Auxiliary of Harvey C. Noone American Legion Post #954.

A Memorial Service was held January 27 at the First Baptist Church of Brockport. Contributions can be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Baptist Church of Brockport, 124 Main Street, Brockport 14420 in her memory.

•Branigan, Elsa G., age 84, January 23, 2009. Predeceased by her husband James P. Branigan. She is survived by many loving family members.

HILTON

•Elliott, Irene S. "Rinkey" (Stanton), January 20, 2009, age 76. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Richard "Dick" Elliott; children Brett (Kathleen) Elliott and their children Brianna and Omar, Todd (Mary) Elliott and children Thomas and Mary, Tracee (Bill) David and their children Tyler and Abbey; her sisters Audrey Case, Cora Massecar, Roberta (Donald) Ecott, Elaine (Charles) Maginness. Rinkey composed the Alma Mater for St. Paul Lutheran School, wrote the 100 year history of the church and was founder and director of the "King's Kids" dance ministry.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Sunday, February 8 at 3 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hilton. Contributions can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 158 East Avenue, Hilton 14468 or to a charity of one's choice in her memory.


•Johnson, Virginia A. (Swan), January 19, 2009 at age 73. She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Paul) Meyer, Dorothy, Norman and Donald C. (Kellylee Monson) Kelly, Judy Johnson and Robert Johnson; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services and interment were held privately. Contributions can be made to the Catholic Charities Community Services, 1945 East Ridge Road, Rochester 14622 in her memory.

•Pedeville, Frank J., January 26, 2009. Predeceased by his granddaughter, Ashley. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Barbara; sons, Mike (Karen) Pedeville, Scott (Kathi) Pedeville, Todd (Barb) Pedeville, David Pedeville (Barb Golamb); grandchildren, Katie, Corey, Shaunna Jake, Eric (King), Josh, Zach, David and Maxx; brothers and sisters, Jean (Bud) Kelley, Shirley Holfoth, Dorothy Shone, Fred (Carol) Pedeville; in-laws, Allen (Vi) VanDorn; sisters-in-law, Ruth Carter, Patti (Ron) Olivas; several nieces and nephews. Frank was a longtime member of Brooklee Country Club, a retiree from Morgood Tools and a Sergeant in the Marine Corps.

A Funeral Mass was said January 29 at the Holy Ghost Church. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery. Donations can be made to Holy Ghost Church or the Diocese of Rochester in his memory.


SPENCERPORT

•Agostinelli, Elizabeth "Aunt Betts," January 23, 2009, age 83. She is survived by her sister, Mary Coccia; many nieces and nephews. In recent years she had made her home with her nephew David Agostinelli where he was assisted in her care by her niece Sharon Agostinelli, great nephew Quinton Agostinelli and her special friend Brendon Brown and several other wonderful care givers.

A Prayer Service was held January 28 in the Resurrection Garden Mausoleum Chapel at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Agostinelli family plot.


•Cleeton, Rev. Jack R., January 24, 2009 at age 81. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Louise (Miles) Cleeton; his children Elaine Cleeton (William Gandino) and Jack R. Cleeton II; two grandsons Ben and Will Cleeton-Gandino; three nieces. Rev. Cleeton pastored in Oklahoma, Texas and New York State including 14 years at the Spencerport Assembly of God Church. He was volunteer chaplain at Unity Hospital and was on the staff of Bethel Christian Fellowship.

Funeral Services were held January 28 at Bethel Christian Fellowship. Spring interment in Fairfield Cemetery, Spencerport. Contributions can be made to the Memorial Fund of Bethel Christian Fellowship, 321 East Avenue, Rochester 14604 in his memory.


•Tallman, Eugene R. "Dick," January 23, 2009 at age 78. He was predeceased by his daughter Janice Tallman and his sister Virginia "Peg" Spencer. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Jean M. (Turner) Tallman; his sons Richard (Lisa) Tallman and David (Kristie) Tallman; his grandchildren, Mekenna, Evan and Lauren Tallman. Dick was affiliated with the construction and excavating industry for 55 years.

A Memorial Service was held January 28 at the First Congregational UCC (The White Church), Spencerport. Interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.


•VerHulst, Joseph, January 22, 2009. Predeceased by his siblings, Cy, Louise, John, Stephany and Charlie. Survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Elodie, Lara; sons, Matt (JoAnn) and Greg; grandchildren, David, Jeffrey, Megan, Buddy and Malori; several nieces and nephews. Joe was a longtime member of the Kiwanis and previous partner of VerHulst Farm Market. He was also owner of Cobble Creek Farm.

A Funeral Mass was said January 26, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport 14450 in his memory.
