ALBION

•Barstow, Irene (Brigden), age 95, died February 15, 2010. Predeceased by her husband Forrest Barstow. She is survived by her children Barbara (Gus) Revelas of Albion and Doug (Joan) Barstow of Hamlin; seven grandchildren Louise (David) Canham, Gus (Patti) Revelas, Demetrius (Lori) Revelas, Damon Revelas, Debbie (Glenn) Lemke, Athena (David) Nichols, Scott (Laura) Barstow; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services were held February 20 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Albion. Interment, Waterport Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Villages of Orleans Activity Fund or to a charity of one’s choice in her memory.


CHURCHVILLE

Cobb, Thomas C. Jr., February 15, 2010. He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor and sister-in-law, Roseanna Bartell. Survived by his cousin, Peter Frachel; sister-in-law, Lorraine (Edward) Lake; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Thomas was a veteran of WWII, Army Air Corps, a member of the D.A.V. American Ex-prisoners of War (Rumania), American Legion and the 15th Air Force Association. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Air Medal, Soldiers Medal and several other decorations and awards.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated February 19 at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Churchville. Interment private.


HAMLIN

•Flanagan, Gerard C., On February 12, 2010 at age 77. Member United States Air Force (1950-1955), formerly employed by Bombrites, Eastman Kodak. Predeceased by parents James and Catherine and sister Kay. Survived by his lovely wife of 53 years, Barbara; children Gerard Jr. (Noreen), Kellie Rath (Bradley), Timothy (Sharon), Shawn (Karen), Colleen Mott (Kevin); grandchildren, Bryan, Michael, Kevin, Audrey, Jordan, Emilie, Anna, Tim (Heather), Sarah, Ryan, Kerrie, Dan (Casey), Bridget (Rich), Liam, Jennifer, Melissa, Nathan and Nicholas; great-grandchildren Madison and Justin; siblings James (Marie), Daniel (Dottie), Janet (Dave), Shirley, Norma (Wayne), Maureen (Joe); aunt Anna Kier; in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and many caring friends.

A Funeral Mass was said February 18 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Contributions can be made to Hildebrandt Hospice, 2652 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester 14626 in his memory.


HILTON

•McEachen, Carol L. (Speranza), February 12, 2010 at age 60. She is predeceased by her father, John S. McEachen and former husband, Dominic Speranza. Survived by her mother, Antoinette (George) Trost; son, Dominic (Julie Wilson) Speranza; daughter Kristina (Derrick) Ryder; grandson, Alec; granddaughters, Leeah, Olivia, and Lydia; sisters, Susan (Douglas) Hargather, Robin (Sam) Dinch; brother, John (Peggy) McEachen; several nieces, nephews and close friends, including those of Bill W.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated February 16 at St. Margaret Mary Church, Rochester. Private interment. Contributions can be made to the University of Rochester Pulmonary Hypertension Program, 400 Red Creek Drive, Rochester, NY 14623 in her memory.


•Patterson, Margaret J. “Peggy,” February 7, 2010, at age 75. Predeceased by her husband, Richard J. and son, Richard D. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Ray Bauman) Knight; grandchildren, Jason and Sean Updaw, Rory Knight, Alecia and Evan Bauman; great-grandchildren Joey, Jesse and Jonathon; sisters, Joyce DeBell and Deanna (Ronnie) Case; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held February 15 at New Comer Funeral Home, Greece. Private interment.


•Rosso, Michael J. (Jr.), February 15, 2010 at age 71. Predeceased by sister-in-law America P. deCastro and brother-in-law Joaquim P. deCastro. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Margarida P. (deCastro) Rosso; children, Marie E. Keel (Richard), Margarida A. Chenalloy (David), Michael J. Rosso III (Kimberly), Michele M. Rosso, and Marc A. Rosso (Carla); grandchildren, Matthew S. Collins, Lilly A. Chenalloy, Tyler C. Rosso, and Alecsander D. Rosso; siblings, Anthony Rosso (Ellie), and Bonnie Dustman; in-laws, Maria Vieira, Lucille deCastro, Antonio and Betsy deCastro, and Florence Briggs; numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

A Memorial Service was held February 19 at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, Clarkson. Contributions can be made to Strong Memorial Hospital Burn and Trauma Center in his memory.


•Sweeney, Mary Lou, Peacefully February 10, 2010, age 87. Predeceased by her husband, Robert, 2007. She is survived by her children, Daniel (Susan), Gary (Linda) Sweeney, Donna (Edward) Zarpentine, Joseph, John (Kelly Peter), Tim (Robyn) Sweeney; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends. She was a member of VFW Post #6105 Auxiliary.

A Funeral Mass was said February 15 at St. John’s Church, Spencerport. Interment, St. John’s Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Hilton Fire Department or American Diabetes Association in her memory.


SPENCERPORT

•DelRipe, Viola, January 2, 2010. Predeceased by her sister, Louise Mandell. Survived by her sister, Theresa Passantino; and extended family. Viola was owner of Gennaro’s Restaurant, Spencerport.

Interment at Riverside Cemetery in the spring at the convenience of the family.


•Gangross, Gloria P. (Paulus), Age 88, died February 16, 2010. Gloria was a member of The First Congregational Church “The White Church” and the Ogden Senior Center in Spencerport. Predeceased by her son, Gary Gangross. She is survived by her sons Edward III (Ellen), Kyle (Nancy), Todd (Joy) Gangross; daughter Barbara Hendrick; also survived by her husband of 66 years, Edward Gangross, Jr.; brother, William Paulus; sister Dorothy Burrows; grandchildren, Sarah (Patrick) Valkner, Aaron Gangross, Joel (Lori) Gangross, Emily (Matthew) Clarke, Leah Hendrick, Timothy (Jennifer Barnhart) Gangross, Thomas Gangross; great-grandchildren Victoria, Kennedy, Hannah, Laynie, Olivia, Madeline and Jacob; many nieces and nephews; lifelong friends Betty McFee, Esther Harris, Ruth Popowich.

•Haapaoja, Betty Lou Evelyn (Anderson), February 9, 2010. Predeceased by her loving husband Edwin. Survived by her son Dana, fiancee Kimberly; brother Jack (Felicite); grandson Timothy; many dear relatives and friends. A retired R.N., she was a graduate of The Children’s Hospital School of Nursing, Boston, Massachusetts and Gordon College.

A Memorial Service was held February 20 at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, Stutson Street, Rochester. Contributions can be made to the church in her memory.


•Hutchison, Patricia W., Peacefully, on February 10, 2010, age 74. Predeceased by her parents, John and Bea (Hughes) Watts of Hamlin. Survived by her husband, Robert A. and her sons, Brian (Lori), Todd (Lisa), Scott (Vicki) and Gary (Beckyan) Hutchison; grandchildren, Chris (Mariko), Amy, Cory, Jessica and Kellilyn; her brother Jack Watts; brothers-in-law, Charles (Nancy) and Frank (Doris) Hutchison; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

•Swift, Lillian B., February 16, 2010 at the age of 88. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Rodney) Stettner of Spencerport and Roberta (Warren) Krull of Norfolk, Virginia and their father Kenneth Swift of Dansville; grandchildren, Gregory, Alexander and Isabel Krull; several nieces and nephews.

•Unterborn, Harold “Harry,” February 12, 2010, age 86.
