•Bengsch, Irmgard, February 16, 2010 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her husband John Bengsch and her daughter Brigitte Demler. She is survived by her children, Hans (Jacalyn) Bengsch of Brockport, Gisela (Bruce) Campbell of Salinas, California and Gerhard Bengsch of Atlanta, Georgia; her grandchildren, John Demler, Kristin (Jerry) Griffin, Scott (Jean) Bengsch, Kelly (Christopher) Wiest, Rob (Michelle) Campbell and Mark (Christina) Campbell; seven great grandchildren; her sister, Elfrieda Adam of Brockport; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held February 21 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Spring interment, Lakeview Cemetery, Brockport. Contributions can be made to Lakeside Beikirch Care Center Memorial Fund, 170 West Avenue, Brockport 14420 in her memory.


•Hafner, Donald R. “Tex,” February 21, 2010, at the age of 79. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Mary Hafner and his brother, Ronnie Hafner. He is survived by his dearest friend and companion for over 20 years, Judy Freeman; his children, Donald (Joanne) Hafner, Yvonne Buzard, Joanne (Gary) Lines and David Hafner; grandchildren, Dawn (Neil) Hungerford, Taina (Bradley) Freeman, Yvette (Mark) Barnett; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Morgan Hungerford, Devon, Alex and Grant Freeman; many close and dear friends.

HILTON

•Bezduch, Andrew P., age 19, died February 20, 2010. He is survived by his parents, Peter (Susan Pinkney) Bezduch; brother, Peter C. Bezduch; grandmothers, Patricia Bezduch, Sylvia Pinkney; uncles, Pawlo Bezduch, Michael (Jean) Pinkney, Jon (Nancy) Pinkney, Christopher Pinkney; aunts, Julie (John) Bloomquist, West Virginia, Laurie (John) Guerin, Robin (Rick) Rolon, Florida; many cousins and tons of good friends.

A Funeral Mass was said February 24 at Nativity BVM Church, Brockport. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Center for Independent Living or Strong Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care in his memory.


•Higinson, Beverly May (Barrows), Age 76, died February 21, 2010 after an extended illness. She was predeceased by Arthur, her husband of 54 years. She is survived by their children, Sandra (Niles) English, Charles (Sharon) Higinson, Diana Higinson, Brenda Higinson, and Laurie (Roy) Abbey; grandchildren Garret (Amy) and Kristi English; Todd Hover Sr., John (Carol) Harris; Amanda (Donald) Freida; Emma and Olivia Abbey; great-grandchildren Rebecca and Ryan English; Nathan and Jessie Hines; Paige and Todd Hover Jr. (USMC serving in Afghanistan), John Michael and Cody Harris; and Rylie and Michael Freida. Beverly was a very caring person, having worked at Lakeshore Nursing Home, Hilton East Assisted Living Center and home health care.

A Memorial Service was held February 25 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Candor, New York in the spring. Contributions can be made to Hilton Ambulance Squad, 120 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton 14468 in her memory.


•Murray, John J. “Jack”, Peacefully February 22, 2010. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Virginia Murray; his son and “best buddy,” Paul Murray; his sister, Margaret Wagner; brother-in-law, Paul (Marge) Klem; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his son, John J. Murray, Jr., 1978. He was a retiree of Delco Products.

A Funeral Mass was said February 27 at St. Leo Church, Hilton. Private interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association or St. Leo’s Building Fund in his memory.


•Southcott, Virginia (Maxwell), Age 86, February 14, 2010. Predeceased by her parents, William (Julia Sage) Maxwell; husband, Herbert W. Southcott Sr.; brothers, William, Timothy, Roger, John Maxwell; sister, Wanda Francis. She is survived by her children, Virginia (Tom) Rodon, Herbert W. (Lynda) Southcott Jr., Donna Schulik, Elaine Mancuso, Wayne (Rose) Southcott, Kevin (Gina) Southcott, Bart Southcott, Roseanne Southcott, Annmarie (Ken) Heidorn; sisters, Marge Justice, Connie West; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Graveside Services to be held Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.


NORTH CHILI

•Walworth, Keith James, 78, died February 10, 2010, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, North Carolina. He was predeceased by his wife, Sibyl Walworth. He is survived by his son, James (Mary) Walworth of Rochester; step-daughters Linda Patterson and Karen (Dale) Stephenson of Charlotte, North Carolina; companion Linda Adams of North Chili; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held February 27 at the Chili American Legion Post 1830, Scottsville. Contributions can be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center, 1406 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, North Carolina 28401 in his memory.


SPENCERPORT

•Bruton, Audrey M., February 19, 2010, at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, John Bruton. She is survived by her brother, Robert (Helen) Jacobi of Ontario, Canada; her children, Thomas (Patricia), Timothy (Eileen), Terry (Phyllis) and Peter (Dawn Murphy) Bruton; her grandchildren, Colleen (Joseph) Sakran, Shannon (Michael) Furton, Benjamin (Nicole) Bruton, Hillary (Eric) Christensen, Allison (Joseph) Rittler, Kathryn, Michael and Adam Bruton, Nicholas and Shaughn Bruton; her great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Anthony Sakran, Lillian Bruton and Emily and Lukas Reinschmidt; several nieces and nephews.

•Maier, Michael H., Suddenly February 21, 2010 at the age of 49. He is survived by his children, Brandon M. and Meghan R. Maier and their mother, Paula S. Maier; his parents, Richard and Helen Maier; siblings, Barb (Dave) Schmitt, Rick (Tammy) Maier, Jean Wright, Linda (Dennis) Keady and Bob (Joann) Maier; his dear aunt, Katie Grundman; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, including Oscar.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated February 25 at St. John’s Church, Spencerport. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society in his memory.


•Marsala, Giovanni “John”, Suddenly on February 22, 2010, at age 70. Predeceased by his mother, Gesuella Marsala. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna (Tucciarello) Marsala; daughters, Daniela (Robert) Dempster, Valerie (Dino) L’Abbate; grandchildren, John Michael and Luke Dempster, Dino and Alex L’Abbate; one brother and one sister in Italy; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Pino and Gina Tucciarello, Rita Tarabocchia, Rosaria Salemi; many nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Marsala was a member of the Italian American Community Center.
