•Brigandi, Lucille L. (Loftus), February 29, 2008, age 94. Predeceased by her husband, Paul; son, Russell; son-in-law, Joseph L. Marciano, brother, George Loftus; sisters, Rena Wicks, Elizabeth Koster, Winifred Ford, Eunice Grasby; dear family friend, Michael P. Streb. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Maureen Marciano; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Brigandi; brother-in-law, Lloyd Grasby; loving grandchildren, Paul and Jeanie Brigandi, Mary Brigandi, John and Mary Brigandi, Joseph and Tricia Marciano, Paul and Denise Marciano, Todd and Esther Marciano; beloved Grandma "B" to great grandchildren, Christopher, Alyssa, Paul, Justin, Joseph, Jacob, Kelsey and Victoria; "daughter of the heart," Elaine (Paul) Rosa; niece, Juanita (Fran) Kuryla and her family; special nieces and nephews from the Brigandi and Loftus families and many dear friends.

A Funeral Mass was said March 5 at St. Lawrence Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Lakeside Beikirch Care Center, 2nd Floor, 170 West Avenue, Brockport 14420 in her memory.


GATES

•Steger, Rev. John J., March 4, 2008. Predeceased by his mother and father John W. and Sybilla Steger; brothers Robert H. and Eugene Steger. Survived by his brother George (Nancy) Steger of Spencerport; sister Ann (James) Hesek of Marlton, New Jersey; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins; dear friends Judy and Tom Russell. Father was Chaplain and lifetime member of NYS Association of Fire Chiefs; Commissioner Gates Fire District; charter member NYS Association of Fire Chaplains; member International Association of Fire Chiefs; member and Chaplain of the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York. Faithful Friar of John W. Steger Assembly Knights of Columbus; charter member St. Jude's Council Knights of Columbus; founding Paster St. Jude the Apostle Church, member Rochester Bowling Association Hall of Fame and sponsor Steger Housing Development St. Jude's I and II apartments.

His Funeral Liturgy was March 8, Bishop Matthew H. Clark presiding. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Masses can be offered for the repose of his soul or donations can be made to Stations of the Cross Radio Station, c/o Robert Brown, 23 Grovewood Lane, Rochester 14624 in his memory.


HILTON

•Hooper, Cynthia M. (Thomas), Age 86, March 4, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Clyde Hooper; children Gordon (Mary) Hooper, Gail Hooper, Connie (John) Melendez, Patrick (Roberta) Hooper, Michael (Patricia) Hooper; her sister Yvonne McGee; 18 grand-children, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by children Ronald and Robert Hooper, and her brother Jim Thomas. Cynthia and her husband Clyde hosted many foreign exchange students over the years through the Youth for Understanding Program.

A Memorial Service was held March 7 at Hilton United Methodist Church. Contributions can be made to the church, 21 West Avenue, Hilton in her memory.


•Monagan, Vivian C., Age 84, February 28, 2008. Predeceased by her husband, Lawrence and brother Rocky; granddaughter, Summer Thornton. She is survived by her children Judy Fleming and friend Rich Polsinelli, Carl (Suzanne) Pilon, Wayne (Carol) Monagan; brother Russell (Arlene) Wright; sister, Marian Herbstsommer. She also leaves her grandchildren David, Devon, Casey, Sarah, Amy, Jessica, Kimberly, Ronnie, Siobhan, Conor, Shauna, CJ, Nicole and great-grandchildren Mikayla, Alicia, Alexander, Karenna, Dale, Chandler; many nieces, nephews and friends.

•Redmond, Joseph W., March 3, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lois (Cyr) Redmond; five children; five step-children; 23 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.

•Wheeler, Audrey E., (Derosia), Age 72, March 2, 2008. She leaves her husband of 49 years, George Wheeler; children Kathleen (Keith) Crayton, Kathie (Joe) Sackel, Audrey (Bill) Smith, Harold Wheeler; her brothers Roy and John Derosia, sister Marion Voght; grandchildren Bill (Deb), Alice (Brian), Chuck (Cindy), Aaron, Adrienne, Cassandra, Jeremy, Thomas, Austin, Cory and Collin; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son George Wheeler Jr., brothers Burt and Levi Derosia and a sister Ethel Croucher.

HOLLEY

•Piedmonte, Grace L. (Simboli), 82, died March 1, 2008 at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of Holley, Grace was a member of the Brockport Free Methodist Church where she was active in the choir. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert L. Piedmonte in 1968. She is survived by her son, Steven L. (Sondra) Piedmonte of Holley and two daughters, Donna K. (George) Nolte of Holley and Debra L. (Jim) Farruggia of Retsof; five grandchildren, Gregory J. Piedmonte, Julie A. Killian, Kimberly Donahue, all of Holley and Andrianna and Peter Farruggia, of Retsof; four great grandchildren, Jessica, Steven, Rachel and Megan; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.

A Memorial Service was held March 8 at Brockport Free Methodist Church. Interment, Hillside Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials can be made to Lakeside Memorial Hospital or Hospice of Monroe County in her memory.


KENDALL

•Roe, Adam E., Age 21, died suddenly March 3, 2008. Adam is survived by his parents, Virginia and David Roe; brother Danny (Brandy) Roe; sister, Amy Roe; nephews, D.J. and David Roe, Chad Johnston; niece, Marissa Johnston; maternal grandmother Arla Snook; two beloved canine companions, Rex and Kane; special friend, Chrissy Andressi; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was employed at VP Supply in Holley for several years.

•Eeckhout, Michael J. NO2Zed, February 26, 2008. Michael is predeceased by his sister Maureen Eeckhout. He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Christina Eeckhout; sisters and brother, Kathleen Fouquet, Elizabeth (David) Mogray and John (Paula) Eeckhout; nieces and nephews, Aimee Fouquet, JD Fouquet, Kasey Fouquet, Michael David Mogray, Carrissa Eeckhout; also survived by Cheryl Eeckhout. Michael was a Veteran of the US Air Force. He was a member of the Lalla Rookh Masonic Organization. Michael was an avid amateur radio operator who went by the call sign NO2ZED

•Frankenberger, Agnes C., March 3, 2008 at age 88. She was predeceased in 1992 by her husband, Charles. She is survived by her children, Eileen (Charles) Keirn of Hamlin, James Frankenberger of Spencerport and Karen (Steve) VanBuren of North Carolina; grandchildren Lynette Celedonia, Kenneth (Audra) Keirn, Meghan (Ron) Sabernick, Alecia and Courtney Keirn, Kamie and Tyler Frankenberger, Eric VanBuren; great grandson, Isaiah Sabernick; sisters Rita Jenkins and Madeline Mueller; sister-in-law Rose Jackson; daughter-in-law Linda Frankenberger; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was said March 6 at St. Lawrence Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Golisano Children's Hospital NICU in her memory.


•Sysol, Roman M., February 27, 2008 at age 52. Predeceased by his father, Roman Sysol. Survived by his loving wife of 31 years Robyn L. and most precious family, daughter Carly and son, Justin; his mother, Mildred Slagle of Livonia; sister, Darlene (Lance) Thrall of Statesville, North Carolina; brothers, John (Christine) Slagle of Livonia and Eugene of Dunkirk; many other family members and friends whom he loved. Employed by the University of Rochester Eastman Dental Center where he had many great and caring friends and many thanks to them for their support and prayers.

•Walker, Mary Jane, March 1, 2008, at age 91. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Stewart E. "Gene" Walker; her son, Theodore (Shery) Walker of Spencerport; her daughter, Nancy (Thomas) Downs of Bedford, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Michelle (Howard) Bevers, Melinda Walker, Moira (Chris) Johnson, Jason (Brandy) Downs and Jennifer (Ed) Paquin; her sister, Sally (James) Wilson of Peterborough, New Hampshire; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
