•Fox, Richard F., March 16, 2010, age 47. Husband of Amie Batz Fox of Bergen; father of MacKenzie Fox of Bergen; son of Leon F. and Phyllis Forsyth Fox of Bergen; son-in-law of Sue Batz-Boruta of Bergen; brother of Ann (David) Terrinoni of Texas, Jane Gracie of LeRoy and Susan (Michael) Grasso of Batavia; brother-in-law of Richard (Jacki) Batz of Churchville. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

•Crandall, Mary Lois, March 14, 2010, age 64. Predeceased by parents Ira and Irma Crandall, son Steven J. Grande and partner Joseph D. Grande Sr. Survived by children, Louis (Lyla) Humphrey of Indiana, Donald Grande of Nebraska, Joseph D. (Karen Wunsch) Grande Jr. of Rochester, Christopher (Rebecca Prack) Grande of Rochester and Kristie (William) Trass; siblings, Betty (Ronald) Oswold, Ira (Patty) Crandall, Irma (Lowell K.) Hermey, Nancy (William) Boggs, William (Kathy) and Robert Crandall; many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held March 19 at the Falvo Funeral Home, Rochester. Interment, Macedon Center Cemetery.


•Janas, Martha A., March 16, 2010 at age 94. Predeceased by her husband, Chester and daughter, Joyce Sorochty. Survived by her children, Barb Janas, Gerard (Virginia) Janas; grandchildren, Lisa (Frank) Marcera, Donna (Bill) Donovan, Cathy (John) Mallett, Brian (Maryann) Sorochty, Jerry (Wende) Janas, Amanda (Paul) Tramonto; and 11 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held March 19 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Greece. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Lakeside Beikirch Care Center in her memory.


•Kinnear, Roger I., March 14, 2010 at the age of 95. Predeceased by his parents Ayward and Gertrude Kinnear. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Lena Zappone Kinnear; son Ronald Kinnear; daughter Diann (Charles) Carter Kinnear; sister Shirley McBride Kinnear; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister-in-law Alice Zappone; several nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held March 18 at Fowler Funeral Home Inc., Brockport. Spring interment, Lake View Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.


GREECE

•Pizzo, Frances A. (Mammano), March 13, 2010 at age 73. Died peacefully and is now reunited with Sam, her loving husband of 53 years who passed in November of 2009. She is survived by her children, Sam (Gail) Pizzo Jr., Patty (Dale) Waite, Linda (Mark) McClain; grandchildren Christa and Sam Pizzo, Jeffrey Waite, Brenda (Darren) VanOrden, Andy and Aiden McClain; great grandchildren, Stephen and Carter Pizzo; sister-in-law, Mary (Louie) Catalli; brother-in-law, Vincent (Sis) Pizzo; also many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass was said March 16 at Holy Cross Church, Rochester. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society in her memory.


HAMLIN

•Breslawski, Nick, March 3, 2010 at the age of 88. Predeceased by his loving wife, Catherine; brothers Charles, Sam and Fredrick and sister Mary. He is survived by his children James (Carmela), Nicholas (Ann) and Barbara (Clark) Whited; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers Dan (Nancy), Tom (Carol); sisters Anne (Robert) Hermance, Estella (James) Lewis and several nieces and nephews. Nick was a Combat Vet with the 3rd Armored Division and received a Purple Heart in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a life-long farmer, collector of International Harvester Tractors and Equipment and he hosted the Annual Hamlin Antique Tractor Show.

A Funeral Mass was held March 6 at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery in the spring. Contributions can be made to SEAS Church in his memory.


HILTON

•Davis, The Honorable Reuben K., Retired Justice of the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division, 4th department, died March 9, 2010 at the age of 89. Judge Davis was born in Columbus, Mississippi. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth U. Davis; and his three children, Jennifer Carey (Bob), Andrea Zopp (William), Mark A. Davis; and three step-children, Andrea Muhly, Peter Muhly (Barbara), Alexandra Muhly; and 10 grandchildren.

Donations can be sent to the Reuben K. Davis Scholarship Fund, at Virginia State University, office of development, Box 9027, Petersburg, Virginia 23806. Private services will be held at the family’s convenience.


•Denise, William D. Jr. “Bill”, March 15, 2010. Survived by his wife Judy Denise; children Kim Denise and Bill (Lynn) Denise; grandchildren, Daniel Ryan, Alyssa Denise and Michael Denise.

•Hilton, H. Bruce, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Hilton, died February 19, 2010, age 83. He was predeceased by his son Christopher. He is survived by his wife Joan; daughter Terry Higbee; grandchildren, James F. Hilton, Craig W. Higbee and Alyssa M. Hilton; his sister, Marion Gibbs. Bruce was a graduate of Cornell University and is best remembered for his 25 year career as a Hilton High School Vocational Agriculture Teacher.

His Funeral Mass was said March 18 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the School of the Holy Childhood, 500 Groton Place, Rochester or a charity of one’s choice in his memory.


•King, Julia, Unexpectedly, March 12, 2010, at age 70. Predeceased by her husband Robert King. She is survived by her mother Gertrude Johnson; children, Annie (Alfred) Wilder, Donnall (Stephanie) King, David King, Rose (Emanuel Riley) Hammonds, Judy King; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother; several nieces and nephews; family and friends.

A Memorial Service was held March 18 at New Comer Funeral Home, Greece.


•Lazzaro, Peter G. on March 14, 2010 , at the age of 96, after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his wife, Lillian C. Lazzaro; sisters, Josephine Guarino, Rose Muscarella, Adeline Ruffino and Fanny Tomasino; brother, Frank Lazzaro. He is survived by his daughters, Judy Ann (Joseph) DePalma and Marianne A. Lazzaro (Robert J. Bialecki); grandchildren, Andrea Ann Nasso (Daniel Galiotti), Joseph C. DePalma (Bridget Massaro), Roberta (Jeffrey) Bittel, Robin (Frederick) Mundorff, Melissa Coppini (Alan Ward), Anthony DePalma (Paula Hallowell), and Roni (John) McHugh; great-grandchildren, Christina (Adam) Green, Samantha Nasso, Bridget, Erick, Chelsea and Dalton Mundorff, Kyle Ludgate and Anthony Coppini III, Ryan and Andrew Bittel, Joseph G. DePalma and Jack McHugh; great-great-granddaughter, Brooklynne Ellis; many nieces and nephews; his dear companion, Marion Albergo; his caring neighbors, John and Grace Indovino; many dear friends. Peter worked as a tailor at Bond Clothing for 35 years before moving on to a 16-year career as a City Court Marshall for the City of Rochester.

HOLLEY

•Denning, Lawrence A. “Gramp,” March 16, 2010, 90 1/2 years. Died after a brief illness. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Phyllis. Survived by two sons, Lawrence A., Jr. (Joanne) and George L. (Joy Lewis). Survived by grandchildren, James (Anne), Debra (Andy) Kupferschmid, Timothy (Robin), Sherri (Dave) Kingdollar, Rhonda (Richard) Beck, and Lawrence, III; 15 great-grandchildren; and his special coffee klatch friends from Tim Horton’s in Brockport, Ginnie D., Dave and Yvonne S., Alex, Kim and Ken. Lawrence was a 50 year member of the Holley Volunteer Fire Department, 44 year member of the Free & Accepted Masons - Renovation Lodge, 50+ year member of Disciples United Methodist Church, long-time “Lakesiders” member - Lakeside Memorial Hospital. He retired in 1982 from the Melting Department of Kodak Park, Building 29.

Calling hours will be held on April 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Merrill Grinnell Funeral Home, 39 Geddes Street, Holley. Interment at Hillside Cemetery April 6. Contributions can be made to Holley Fire Department or Lakeside Memorial Hospital in his memory.

•Giannecchini, Beverly (English), March 9, 2010. Predeceased by her husband, Julian. She is survived by her children, Terry (Dan) Cardinale, Rosemary (Kevin) DeYager, Mary Volonino, Susan (Walt) Zimmer; grandchildren, Jennifer, Robin, Daniel, Ken and Nick; great granddaughter, Bryanna; sister, Joyce Hamsey.

•Kramer, Tami Mahoney, age 51, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Spencerport, died suddenly March 13, 2010. She is survived by her husband, James Kramer; daughters Bridgette Mahoney Brooks and husband Justin, Brenda Mahoney Weber and her husband Glenn; her precious “grandbabies” Justin and Charles Brooks, Anna, Jake and Ozzy Weber; stepdaughter, Jillian Kramer; mother, Betty Doughty; brother, Michael Lees; and sister, Colene Doughty.

•LaVigne, W. Joseph, March 11, 2010. Predeceased by his daughter, Catherine (LaVigne) Leone; sister Mary Coughlin. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Catherine “Murph” LaVigne; children, Patrick (Shirley), James, David (Lori) LaVigne, Margaret (Glen) Radner, Thomas (Patricia) LaVigne, MaryJane (Joseph) Marotta, Michelle (Khalid) Alkofahi and Jacqueline (Scott) Powley; sister, Ellen LaVigne; granddaughter, Renee; and 16 other grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Joseph was a member of the Barber Shop Chorus and Quartet for 33 years, and a Navy Veteran of WWII aboard the ship U.S.S. Ludlow.

•Pray, Jennie R., On March 13, 2010 at age 85. Predeceased by her loving husband, Eugene Pray; and brother, Onofrio Romano. Pray; grandson, Matthew Rederer; sister, Mary “Peachie” (Salvatore) Mistretta; many dear nieces, nephews and friends, especially her lifelong friend of 80 years, Theresa Yerves.
