•Davis, Robert (Bob) Dean, on March 22, 2009, at age 54. Son of John and Betty Davis Sr. Bob spent the final months of his life enjoying living in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. He is survived by his soulmate Susan Doohan; his brothers, John and Marty as well as his daughters Elizabeth Roberts and Jessica Davis and his grandchildren Dasi, Caleb, and Danielle Roberts.

BROCKPORT

•Dalrymple, Charles E. Jr., On March 20, 2009 at the age of 82. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Barbara S; daughter Anne (William) O’Malley; son David (Libby) Dalrymple; grandchildren Katherine and Sean O’Malley, Elizabeth and Charlie Dalrymple; brother Alfred (June) Dalrymple; sister-in-law, Betty (Charles) Peer; nieces Judy (Albert) Pearce and Barbara (Dan) Peer; nephew James (Lois) Dalrymple; several grand nieces and grand nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Brockport United Methodist Church at a date to be announced. Contributions can be made to the Brockport United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society in his memory.


•Fox, Suzanne K., March 15, 2009. Predeceased by husband, Richard "Pete" Fox. Survived by sons Douglas (Shirley) Fox and John (Betty) Fox; sister Shirley Warner; grandchildren Becky (Tim) Hughes, Tim (Stephanie) Fox, Andrew (Valerie Peters) Fox, Peter Fox and great-grandson, Joel Hughes.

Interment at the convenience of the family. The family is planning a Summer memorial service on a date to be announced. Memorial contributions can be directed to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.


•Groth, Lucille H., On March 25, 2009 at the age of 96. Predeceased by her husbands Carl E. Hudson and Edward Groth, daughter Sharon Lynn Fox, son Scott T. Hudson Sr. She is survived by beloved son Carl R. "Rich" Hudson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters; one brother and son-in-law P. Robert Fox.

Funeral Services were held March 28 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, Falls Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Lakeside Beikirch Care Center in her memory.


•Simmons, Louis J. II "Little Louie," March 18, 2009 at age 23. He is survived by his mother Deborah (John) Staples and father Louie (Nicole) Simmons; grandmother, Ethel Wright; daughter Brianna Longthair; siblings, Michelle (Chad), Sherry (Roger), Carla (Sean), Susie (Matt), Jason (Trish), Jamie, Raymond (Cora), Bridgette and Taylor; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services were held March 23 at New Comer Funeral Home, Greece. Interment, Flackville Cemetery, Ogdensburg, New York.


•Welch, Elizabeth (nee Flynn), Suddenly on February 26, 2009 at the age of 77. Betty is the beloved wife of Maurice "Pete" Welch who resides at Crimson Ridge Gardens in Greece. She is the beloved "Nanny" for the Moyer family of Allegany, NY: Joseph (wife Sandy), Kenneth (wife Sylvia), LizBeth Green (husband Geoff), Jason (wife Sharon), Jeffrey (wife Betty), and 14 children who loved her dearly. She is also survived by her sons Peter and Paul Williams and her grandchildren Matthew and Elliot Rockow.

A Memorial Service was held March 28 at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc., Brockport.


CHURCHVILLE

•Boughner, Donald L., March 20, 2009 in Leesburg, Florida, at age 81. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years Elizabeth P. "Sue" (Manley) Boughner; his brothers Kenneth and Arnold Boughner; step daughter Connie Swain. He is survived by his wife of two years Anna M. (Swain) Boughner; his daughters Rev. Joy C. (Dan) Shaffer and Linda L. Goodrich; grandchildren Donald (Christina) Shaffer; Amanda-Lin and Christine Shaffer, Alyssa and TaraLynn Goodrich; sister Donna Mae Woods; brothers Harold (Phyllis) and Gene (Elin) Boughner; sister-in-law Anne Boughner; five step children; 13 step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; extended family and friends. Don was owner of Bok Plastics, Inc.; former Riga Town Justice; former President of Lake County Eagles; U. S. Army veteran and a member of Harvey C. Noone American Legion Post #954.

Funeral Services were held March 28 at the United Methodist Church of Churchville. Interment, Creekside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to a hospice of one’s choice in his memory.


•McCall, William F. "Bill," Died March 24, 2009 at age 71 after a brief illness. Predeceased by his parents, George and Ann McCall, and grandfather, Michael Driscoll of Geneva. Survived by his loving wife, Karen; his step-children, Kevin (Sandra) Kommeth, Mark Kommeth, David (Karen) Kommeth and Kristen Feeney; his cousin, Mary Ellen Pitifer of California; and many dear friends and co-workers.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Contributions can be made to Gilda’s Cancer Action or the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm in his memory.


FANCHER

•Wieczorek, Dr. Stephen P., On March 23, 2009 at the age of 48 after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his father Dr. Stanley A. and sister Gale Wieczorek-Crouch. He is survived by his loving wife Roberta; children Kayla and Kasey; mother Mary; sister Dr. Lorraine Wieczorek; and a host of additional family and friends. Stephen grew up in Fancher and Brockport; attended SUNY Fredonia and Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He was also an avid golfer.

A Memorial Service was held March 28 at the Newman Oratory, Brockport. Contributions can be made to the Hospice of Orleans County in his memory.


HAMLIN

•Eddy, Richard E. Sr., March 21, 2009. Survived by his former wife, Bonnie Eddy; son of Caroline Eddy of Delmont, Pennsylvania and the late Samuel Eddy; father of Richard (fiance’ Debbie) Eddy Jr. of Farmington and Barb (Rich) King of Batavia; brother of Ronald (Susan) Eddy of Ohio and Sharon Moore of Pennsylvania; one grandson, Alex King, Mr. Eddy served with the U.S. Marines for six years.

Graveside Services were held March 28 at Phillips Church Cemetery, Spraggs, Pennsylvania. Contributions can be made to the New York State Veterans Home, 220 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY 14020 in his memory.


HILTON

•Snyder, Kurtis Andrew, unexpectedly March 20, 2009, at age 21. He is survived by his parents, Mary (William Ross) Snyder, Andy (Anna Sluk) Snyder; grandparents, Betty Parker, Edwin (Ann) Lewis; sister, Michele Snyder; brother Jared Snyder; many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Kurtis was a graduate of Hilton High School Class of 2007, and will always be remembered for his smile, generosity, love of sports and music and his open heart.

Funeral Services were held March 26 at First Bible Baptist Church. Interment Falls Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Mary Cariola or to Hillside Children’s Center in his memory.


SPENCERPORT

•McClellen, Ruth L., March 19, 2009 at St. Ann’s Home, one day short of her 100th birthday. Ruth was formerly of Ogden Parma Town Line Road. She is survived by her sister Grace (Thomas) Moran of Winston Salem, North Carolina; sister-in-law Irene McClellan of Fairport; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ruth was a dedicated and loving elementary school teacher for over 40 years, mostly in the Hilton School District. In her retirement Ruth enjoyed some traveling, especially to the national parks. She took much pleasure in her family and home, gardening, association with the Retired Teacher’s Association, and her attendance at the First Congregational UCC of Spencerport (The White Church).

Funeral Services were held March 24 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Interment, Fairfield Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Lifetime Care Hospice or the First Congregational UCC (The White Church), 65 Church Street, Spencerport 14559 in her memory.
