•Lettis, Roger G., On April 11, 2010, after a brief battle with lung cancer. Predeceased by his parents; brother, Donald; and twin brother, Richard. He is survived by the love of his life for 28 years, Janice Lorback; stepchildren, Marianne Licorish, Connie Lorback, James Lorback, and Jeffrey Lorback; several grandchildren; brother, Jack Lettis of Florida; cousin, Maryanne Lettis; sister-in-law, Anne Lettis; niece and nephew.

A Memorial Service was held April 16 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Contributions can be made to Interlakes Oncology, 156 West Avenue, Brockport 14420 in his memory.


•Welch, Phyllis C., On April 11, 2010, at age 90. Predeceased by her husband Francis. Survived by her sons Francis James Jr. and Gary; by daughter Mary Lynne (Greg) Turner; by sister Pauline Newman; by nieces, Shirley (Donald) Bixler, Myrna Bower and Anne (John) Scammell.

A Memorial Service was held April 14 at the First Presbyterian Church of Brockport. Contributions can be made to Seymour Library, First Presbyterian Church of Brockport or Lakeside Beikirch Care Center in her memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Walker, Brian K., On April 7, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Louann and daughters, Theresa, Amanda and Shauna; his grandchildren, Trevor, Alex, Jacinda, and Jermic; his parents Norman and Lenore; his sister, Karen (Bob) Whigham; sister-in-law, Kathy (Jeff) Stevenson and their son, Jeremy; several nieces and nephews.

Interment was private and a service will be announced at a later date. Contributions can be made to the Lollypop Farm in his memory.


CLARKSON

•Hoyt, Francis O., On April 9, 2010. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews; sister-in-law Kathryn Ellis and brother-in-law Roger Clark.

A Funeral Mass was held April 14 at the Church of the Nativity BVM, Brockport. Interment, Garland Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, Nativity Church or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin, in his memory.


HAMLIN

•Halling, Gilda (Albano), April 8, 2010 at age 81. Survived by daughter, Pam (Bob) Johnson; son, Dan Halling; step-daughter, Debi (Jerry) Caracci; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Aaron, Holly, Chad, Samantha; great-granddaughter, Olivia; sister, Lena (John) Reynolds; brother, Sam (Peggy) Albano; dear relatives and friends.

•Powers, Tara Lynn (Watkins), April 12, 2010 at age 30 at home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her brother, Gary W. Larkin. She is survived by her loving husband, Jeremie; beloved children, Haley, Rose, Jeremie, Victoria and Rebecca; mother, Gale Sue E. Watkins; father, John E. (Carol) Watkins; brother, Damon Watkins; sisters, Autumn Rae Schmidt and Leslie R. (Pete) Antinarella; mother-in-law, Christine Powers; grandparents, Linda (Al); nieces and nephews, Abby Marie, Abbygail, Tyler, Piero, Elena and Keith; step-sister, Tammy (Craig) DuFord; step-brother, Timothy (Errin) Hull; also many other grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Services will be held Monday, April 19 at 11 a.m. at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, Greece. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to a Trust Fund established for her children (payable to Leslie Antinarella, 970 Walker Lake Ontario Road, Hilton, NY 14468).


•Standing, Charles A. “Bob,” Suddenly April 7, 2010 at age 75. Predeceased by his parents, Alfred (Marie Polk) Standing; a son, David Standing. Survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Carol (Boyce) Standing; their children, Robert Standing, Barbara Jensen; his brothers, Alfred Standing, Terry (Marie) Standing; grandchildren, David, Christopher, Brian Standing, Michael, Ashley Jensen.

A Graveside Service was held April 10 at Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Hilton Ambulance in his memory.


HOLLEY

•Fleming, Karen L., 55, April 10, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was employed at Fitzsimmons, Nunn, Fitzsimmons & Plukas law firm in Rochester, loved camping and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. She is survived by her mother, Betty Knobloch (Rodas) of Albion; two children, Ryan Fleming of Holley, Tera Wilson of Brockport; one grandson, Jacob Fleming; two sisters, Carla (Paul) Hennekey of Kendall, Patti (Terry) Barber of Clarendon; and many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by father Karl M. Knobloch.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 19 at 7 p.m. at Kendall United Methodist Church. Contributions can be made to Hospice of Orleans or to a trust fund for Jacob Fleming in her memory.


OGDEN

•Glanville, Wilbert Eric, April 7, 2010 peacefully at age 87. He is predeceased by his son, William. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bernice (Riley); and his daughter-in-law, Suzanne (William) Glanville. Also survived by his children, Thomas (Lia), Susan Torpy, Stephen (Jeannie) and Daniel; grandchildren, Thomas (Shannon), Matthew (Wendy Horn), Peter (Joan), Julia (Russell) Daykin, Rebecca (James) Poniscan II, Geoffrey, Gabriella, Vanessa and great-granddaughter, Willow; and many nieces and nephews. Bill served in the Canadian Merchant Marine during WWII. He worked for many years for the Rochester Telephone Corp.

Services were held April 17 at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home, Chili. Contributions can be made to Webster Comfort Care Home, 700 Holt Road, Webster 14580 in his memory.


NORTH CHILI

•Buettner, Rudolph H., April 13, 2010 at age 75. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Faith A. (Rudd) Buettner; their children Arthur D. (Laurel) Buettner, Bertrand J. (Laurie) Buettner, Heidi R. (Gary) Heotzler and Heather L. (Dennis) Humphrey; sister, Elvera (Paul) Berry. He also leaves 13 grandchildren. He taught science in the Byron-Bergen School District from which he retired in 1997. He was active in the Pearce Memorial Free Methodist Church Marriage Ministry and Engaged Encounter.

A Memorial Service was held April 17 at Pearce Memorial Free Methodist Church, North Chili. Contributions can be made in his memory to Pearce Memorial Free Methodist Church designated to Marriage Ministry.


SPENCERPORT

•Farnsworth, William A., of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, formerly of Spencerport, April 5, 2010, at age 85, after a short illness. Bill was born in Clifton Springs, New York, November 17, 1924, the youngest child of Louis and Maude (Wiley) Farnsworth. He grew up in Newark and was a veteran of the US Navy in WWII. He taught at Spencerport Central School for 30 years and he was the first director of the Spencerport Federal Credit Union. Bill is survived by the love of his life, Gloria; five children, Robert Farnsworth, Carol Bishop (Gastonia, North Carolina), Susan McDade, James (Diane) and Jeffery (Donna); ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.


•Weidert, Joseph A., April 7, 2010 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothea; brothers, John, William, Ed and sister, Barbara; Joseph is survived by his son, Rudy (Sally) Weidert; daughters, Diane (Robert) Mueller, and Susan (Ronald) Masters; grandchildren, Lynette Rieke (Joe Arena), Jason Weidert (Anne Wright), Shannon (Del) Parrotta, Andrew (Laurie) Weidert, Christine (Jason) Lavin, Daniel Masters, Amanda Masters, Crystal (Randy) Hemingway, Tarra (Richard) Lavere; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janet Weidert; several nieces and nephew, Debbie Weidert; Steve Rieke.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated April 12 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, St. John’s Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Boys Town, 14100 Crawford Street, Boys Town, NE 68010 in his memory.
