AREA

•Morehead, Melba J., of Rochester, on April 17, 2010 at the age of 73. She is survived by her children Sharon Stone, Mike Williams and Billie Jo Everheart; grandchildren Bobbie Jo, Michael, Genie, Anthony, Albert, Shawn and Eddie; and great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, April 25 at 1 p.m. at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc., 340 West Avenue, Brockport.


BERGEN

•Rogers, Clarence A., April 17, 2010, age 89, WWII Fighter Pilot and member of the Geriatric Pilots Association and MOAA. Husband of Beverly Ernst Crosier Rogers of Bergen; father of Christine (Jeffrey) Martz of Riga, and Nancy Cummins of Hadley; step father of Tamara (James) Goetz of Ontario and Scott (Amy) Crosier of Brockport; grandfather of seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

BROCKPORT

•Abele, Mary E. (O’Brien), died April 3, 2010 in Rockleigh, New Jersey. Mary was a former resident of Brockport and was a parishioner of the Church of the Nativity, B.V.M. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and a member of the Sweden Senior Center. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Howard J. Abele, a son Robert H. (Rita) and son-in-law Ron O’Brien. She is survived by her daughter Mary Ann O’Brien, Arizona; son Richard J. (Claire), Connecticut, a daughter Donna (Tom) Keane, New Jersey; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass was said April 23 at Nativity Church, Brockport. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the Shriners or the BC Healthcare Center, Activities, 35 Piermont Road, Rockleigh, New Jersey 07647 in her memory.


•Ketchum, Alberta A. (Rebman/Mahoney), On April 14, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Robert H. Ketchum, sisters, Henrietta Lawrence, Jewel Tranchell. Survived by her brother Robert Rebman; four sons, Richard, Mark (Kathy), Jeffrey and Stephen Mahoney; step children Greg (Pam) Ketchum, Kathleen (Ben) D’Arduini, Scott Ketchum, Steve Ketchum, Margaret (Richard) Sisson, Mark (Linda) Ketchum, Barb (Chris) Smith; nineteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Alberta was retired after a 20 year real estate career with Nothnagle Realtors.

A Funeral Mass was said April 17 at St. Luke’s Church, Brockport. Interment, Lake View Cemetery.


•Savard, James W., age 75, died April 17, 2010 in Tupper Lake, New York. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Suzanne (LaPlante); four children, Shelly (Don) Roberts, Kerry (Vicki - predeceased) Savard, Tracy (Michelle) Savard, and Kim (Jason) Condon; and nine grandchildren, Christopher, Katie, Mackenzie, Dylan (Roberts), Kristin, Jakob (Savard), Talia, Nolan and Kieran (Condon). He served in the Marine Corps 1953-1956. Jim earned his master’s in education from SUNY Brockport and devotedly and passionately taught eighth grade Social Studies for 26 years, until his retirement in 1989.

A celebration of his life was held April 23 at the Newman Catholic Center at SUNY Brockport. Contributions can be made to The Michael J. •Adams, Eva J., April 16, 2010 at the age of 75. She is survived by her children, Nicholas and David Monacelli, Steven (Denise) Holman and Robin Holman; grandchildren, Tracy, David (Hulia) and Nicholas Monacelli, Steven and Cody Holman, Jamie D. Holman and Brian T. Resch; great-grandson, Mikail Monacelli; siblings, Lee, Dick and Roy Brady, Linda Byrd; aunt, Helen Goins; cousin, Gail Kincer.

A Graveside Service was held April 21 at Maple Grove Cemetery, on Dewey Street off Washington Street, Ogden.


•Albano, Thomas Samuel, Suddenly April 15, 2010, at age 27. Son of Thomas and Holly Albano; beloved brother of Nicholas (Sarah) and Jessica (Parker); grandson to Patricia and the late Samuel Kingsley, John and Rosalie Albano. Treasured nephew to John M. Albano, John and Nancy Welch, Carol Albano, Susan and Ronald Reinhardt, Margaret Powell, Elizabeth and Scott Taggart; great nephew to Rose Scardino, Raymond Albano, Joseph and Phyllis Marsala; cousin to John Thomas Welch, Michael and Nicole Albano, Caitlynn Harman, Robert and Dorothy Reinhardt, Tina and Jeff Roy, Keegan, Ben and Samantha Taggart, Eric, Ryan, Corey, Holly, Christopher and Evan Powell, Ted and Karen Scardino; best friends to many; Tom’s beloved dogs, Bella and Eva.

His Funeral Mass was said April 20 at St. Pius X Church, Chili. Interment, Holy Sepulchure Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport 14450 in his memory.


SPENCERPORT

•Boff, George E., April 20, 2010 from complications of Alzheimer’s at the age of 77. He is survived by his wife, Nancy M. Boff; children, Mark (Tracy) Boff, Gary (Carla) Boff; grandchildren, Michael, Makayla, Marianna, Matthew and Austin Boff. George worked at Kodak for 28 years in Dept. #84, Tool & Die Model Shop.

A Memorial Mass was said April 24 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620 in his memory.


•Dennis, Lawrence W. “Rail,” April 19, 2010 at age of 53. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Corrine Dennis. He is survived by his wife Deborah A. (Rathbun) Dennis; children, Kristen, Melissa and Beckie; grandchildren, Andrea, Nolha and Benjamin; siblings, Jim, Tim, Gary and Cheryl Dennis, Sheila (Mike) Kahrimanian.

Funeral Services and Interment were held at the convenience of the family.


•Howard, Mary Jane, April 19, 2010 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by her parents, Phillip and Harriet Green and her beloved husband of 56 years Alton W. Howard. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Howard, Barbara Lintz, Karen Howard and Evelyn (Donald) Minick; grandchildren, Thea (Brad) Delehanty, Eric (Laura) Lintz, Sarah Lintz, Brian Howard, Maya Howard and Kendra Howard; great granddaughter, Alaina Jane Delehanty; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service was held April 24 at First Congregational UCC of Spencerport, “White Church.” Contributions can be made to St. Ann’s Community or the White Church, 65 Church Street, Spencerport 14559 in her memory.
