ALBION

•Pifer, Wesley E. Sr., of Albion, died at age 78 on January 19, 2008 at Lakeside Hospital, Brockport. He was predeceased by his wife. He is survived by his children Wesley E. Jr. (Deborah) of Brockport, Robert (Melissa) of South Carolina, Robin of Rochester, Bill of Holley, Wanda Blanco of Albion, Tammy of Kent, Terry (Shannon) of Rochester, Crystal Botello (Raul) of Kent, Wesley C. (Sharon) of Wayland, Donald (Dawn) of Honeoye, Joanie of Atlanta; step daughter Leslie L. Kelley and step son-in-law Roger M. Greer; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Alva Francis of Prattsburg, Helen Francis (William) of Atlanta and Gert Callaro of Mt. Morris; several nieces and nephews.

A grave side service will be held at Garland Cemetery on May 16 at 1 p.m.


BROCKPORT

•Fleisher, Stanley F., On April 19, 2008 at the age of 74. Predeceased by parents Harry and Goldie Fleisher. Survived by his children Christina Compson, Joseph (Janet), Amy (Joseph) DeTorio, Daniel (Claire), Kathryn (Scott) Smith, David (Falisha); grandchildren, Angela, Kevin, Danielle, Aaron, Evan, John, Christopher (Christina), Elizabeth, Deanna, Anthony, Jessica, Jacob, Benjamin; brother, Bob (Linda).

A Memorial Service was held April 21 at the Brockport Senior Center. Interment, Lake View Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory.


•Stettner, Robert N., On April 12, 2008. Predeceased by his loving wife Marie and is survived by his children Ken, David (Grace), Marleen (Jack) Yelaca; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held April 23 at the Ogden Baptist Church, Spencerport. Contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice in his memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Barry, John J. "Jack," 83, on April 19, 2008. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Helen; his son, John of Florida; his daughters, Kathleen Beasom of North Carolina, Jan (Ron) Lee of Ohio, Shirley (Rich) Duhan of Spencerport, Debra (Ed) Housel of Gates; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter Joan. Retiree of GM.

A Memorial Service was held April 26 at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton.


HAMLIN

•Redding, Julia Ann (Nich), April 19, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 38 years Mel Redding; son, Scott Redding (Christina) of Seneca Falls, James Redding (Kara) of Rochester, Jason Redding of Rochester; loving grandchildren Lily, Leah, Kyle, Casey and Cody; sisters Geraldine Fling of Hamlin, Jean Gonzalez (Tony) of Gates, Mary Hess (Dennis) of Hamlin, Debbie Howe (Doug) of Holley; brother Chester J. Nich (Liz) of Rochester; several nieces, nephews and two very special children Chase & Cole. She was predeceased by her parents Chester and Betty Nich of Greece and brother-in-law George Fling of Hamlin.

A Funeral Mass was held April 22 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery, Hamlin. Donations in her memory can be made to Interlakes Oncology, 1561 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626.


HILTON

•Carnes, Marion D. (Statt), April 21, 2008 at age 71. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph E. Carnes. Survived by her son James E. Carnes; grandchildren Corey and Jennifer Carnes; brothers Edward, Raymond (Margaret), John (Thelma) and Joseph (Bobbie) Statt; sisters Sr. Alma Statt SSND, Jean (Francis) Troyon and Jane (David) Richardson; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held April 25 at Walker Brothers, Co. Funeral Home, Inc., Spencerport. Contributions can be made to the Hamlin or Walker Fire Departments in her memory.


HOLLEY

•Clark, Earl R., on March 19, 2008. Burial services will take place on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Sandy Creek Cemetery in the town of Murray.


SPENCERPORT

•Getman, Charles A. "Chuck," April 19, 2008 at age 88. He is survived by his loving wife Reita M. (Beyer) Getman; his children, Candace Petroski and Christian (Pam) Getman; step-daughter, Nancy Andersen; grandchildren, Chasa and Kasha Petroski, Christie and Lindsay Getman; great grandson, Mason; brother-in-law Ernest Cripps and Stanley (Carol) Zorawowicz; sister-in-law Charlotte Zorawowicz; several nieces and nephews. Chuck was an Air Force WWII combat veteran.

A Memorial Service was held April 22 at Gates Presbyterian Church, Rochester. Contributions can be made to Gates Presbyterian Church or Ogden Senior Center in his memory.


•Toombs, Scott M., April 22, 2008 at age 11, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his father Kurt Toombs; his mother Bonnie ( Stephen) Riorden; brother Nicholas Toombs; stepbrother Bailey Riorden; stepsister Samantha Riorden; paternal grand-mother Marilyn and grandpa John Sobus; maternal grandmother Dorothy and grandpa Michael Bates; aunts and uncles Mark (Kim) Toombs, Robert Pye, Liz (Tom) Iovine, Angela Bates, Michael Bates, Deborah Trynoski, John (Melissa) Sobus; cousins Kelly Toombs, Nicole Bates, Michael (Melissa) Trynoski, Cassandra Sobus, Dannielle Sobus, Melissa Eckles; a large extended family. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather William T. Toombs and maternal grandfather Jack W. Pye. Scott was a student at Terry Taylor School in Spencerport and could often be found running the time clock at MCYH Hockey games and at Spencerport Soccer Club games cheering on his brother.

A Funeral Mass was said April 25 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment Parma Corners Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Camp Good Days and Special Times, 1332 Pittsford-Mendon Road, Mendon, NY 14506 in his memory.
