AREA

•Nowak, Geraldine S. “Gerry,” of Cohocton, died unexpectedly April 27, 2010 at age 66. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Nowak, San Diego, California; aunt Bette Nowak, Irondequoit; cousins and close friends. Gerry was an avid bowler for many years and a member of the Women’s Traveling League of Rochester. She was a Spencerport High School graduate and a retiree of Eastman Kodak and U.S. Post Office.

A Graveside Service was held May 15 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations can be directed to The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm or to Animal Rescue and Welfare Organizations of one’s choice in her memory.


BERGEN

•Koons, James J. Sr., May 7, 2010 at age 74. He was predeceased by his wife, Maureen. Survived by his son, James (Christine) Koons, Jr.; daughter, Shelly Koons; grandchildren, Casey (Kristi) Koons, Michael Gray and P.J. Lundy; great-grandchildren, CJ, Cole and Cameron Koons; sisters, Mary “Tootsie” Shukitis, Helen (Walter) Roman; brother, Gene (Sandy) Koons. James was a Korean and Vietnam War Army Veteran.

•Browne, Marguerite Hare “Peg”, on May 11, 2010 at age 87. Predeceased by her husband Gerald L. Browne, siblings Ruth Deming, Donald M. Hare, sister-in-law Marilyn Hare and nephew David Heise.

She is survived by siblings Dorothy Heise, Bette Meadows, G. Stanley Hare, Cyril (Beverly) Hare Jr.; sister-in-law Sandra M. Hare; nieces and nephews Julie (Larry) Carter, Mary Claire Heise, Trudy (Russell) Dawson, Howard (Nancy) Deming, Robert (Sheila) Cummings, Michael (Pamela) Cummings, Peggy (Al) Mercer, Deborah Cummings, Thomas (Karla) Hare, James (Joan) Hare, Richard (Denise) Hare, Patricia (Robert) Vanderstouw, C. Leonard Hare, Cindy Lou Hare (Douglas Haslip), Scarlet (David) Moore, Peter M. (Cynthia) Hare, Tamsin (Craig) Mac Donald; many great nieces, great nephews and numerous special friends. Peg was an outstanding educator committed to excellence.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 16, 3 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Brockport. Interment at the convenience of the family. •Schneeberger, Donald R., May 6, 2010 at age 85. Donald was predeceased by his daughter, Janice Paladino; son-in-law, William Paladino; grandson, Christopher Paladino; sister-in-law, Esther Nolte; and brother-in-law John Miller. Donald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carroll; sons, James Schneeberger and Thomas (Deborah) Schneeberger; grandchildren, Kimberly Schneeberger and Matthew Paladino; many nieces, nephews and friends.

•Lorz, Lawrence C., Suddenly on May 4, 2010 at the age of 65. Predeceased by his parents, Charles G. and Florence J. (Magin) Lorz; aunt, Betty Gerber; uncle Mike (Pauline) Magin; cousins, Raymond Magin, Eddie Gerber, Bob McKay; brother-in-law, Donald Morris. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Suzanne M. (Bingham); faithful companion, Mr. Minnow; cousins, Phyllis Wadsworth, Betty McKay, Marilyn Ronzo, Carole Magin, Peggy and Clinton Bennie, Bob and Marianne Jones; brother- and sisters-in-law, Barb and Bob Burdick, Maryellen Morris; several nieces, nephews; dear friends, Grace Dillon and family, Diane and Harold Osborne. Larry was a retiree from Eastman Kodak, a life member of the NRA and the NYS Rifle & Pistol Association.

•Robison, Marjorie (Hill), Peacefully, May 11, 2010, age 62. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; her daughters, Tamara, Rhonda and Kristen; her father, Fred (Paula) Hill; two brothers, Gary (Marlene) Hill and Mark Hill; several nephews.

Funeral Services were held May 15 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home Inc., Hilton. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.


SPENCERPORT

•Farnsworth, William A., Died April 5, 2010. Bill taught at Spencerport High School for 30 years and was the first director of the Spencerport Federal Credit Union. He is survived by the love of his life, Gloria; children, Robert, Carol Bishop, Susan McDade, James (Diane), Jeffery (Donna); ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held May 15 at Ogden Presbyterian Church. Donations can be made to Ogden Presbyterian Church, Aurora House or to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.


•Schult, William A., May 1, 2010 age 83. Survived by his wife, Jean A. (Guth) Schult; his children, Bonnie J. St. Denis, Jacquelyn M. Draper ( James McManus) and William R. Schult; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Daniel and Colin St. Denis, Randy and Kyle Draper, Aiden McManus, Shawnalyn and Morgan Schult; two sisters, Eleanor Rickman and Thelma Hewitt; father-in-law, Robert W. (Jeanne) Spaulding; and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, William J. and Ruth C. Schult, his sister, Marian S. Ophardt and mother-in-law, Jean E. Spaulding.
