•Byrne, Sharon, on May 10, 2009 at the age of 64. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert; two Siamese cats, Spenser and Rascal; mother-in-law, Mary K. Byrne; four sisters-in-law, Susan, Patti, Meg and Beth and their spouses; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Contributions can be made to the Spencerport Assembly of God Church in her memory.


•Hess, George L., May 10, 2009, age 87. He is survived by his wife, Madeline (Kruger) Hess; his sons, Mark and Dean (Christine) Hess; four grandchildren, Sara, Michele, Laura and Evan Hess; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral Services were held May 15 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery, Hamlin. Contributions can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or NYS Veterans Home, Batavia in his memory.

•Lemon, Joyce A., May 8, 2009 age 79. She was predeceased by her husband, William Lemon, 2008. Survived by her daughters, Pamela Lemon, Kimberly (Daniel) Koleski; granddaughters, Lisa (Mike) Hale, Leslie (Mark) Freywald; great-grandchildren, Michael and Helaina Hale, Alexander Freywald and Arizona Bartlett; her brothers, Edward (Kathy) and Bruce (Sheila) Conover; her sisters, Barbara Phillips, Judy (Frank) Loverde; sister-in-law, Margaret Lemon; special cousin, Morris (Judy) Conover; and "Special Helper," Kaylee Starzak. Joyce was a longtime EMT for Hilton Ambulance Corps.

Funeral Services were held May 12 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Hilton Ambulance or Hilton Baptist Church in her memory.


•Polosky, Margaret H., May 4, 2009, age 92. She was predeceased by her husband, George, 1991. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George and Patricia Polosky; granddaughter, Jennifer Polosky; great-granddaughter, Kayla Mae.

A Funeral Mass will be held in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, at a later date. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.


HOLLEY

•Gilliam, Kathleen (Downes), May 7, 2009, age 62. Survived by her sons, Kenneth and Brett Gilliam; her mother, Barbara Downes; brother, John (Barbara) Downes, Jr.; grandson, Cody Gilliam.

Funeral Services were held May 11 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Contributions can be made to the Humane Society in her memory.


PARMA

•Gosnell, Harry T., in Sebring, Florida, December 27, 2008, age 91, formerly of Parma. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 69 years, Nettie (Webster) Gosnell. Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Dorothy Gosnell; four grandchildren, Rhonda (Dave) Batchelder, Tamara Lever, Jim (Karen) Dawson and Kim Evans; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of Ritter Dental.

A Memorial Service was held May 16 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton.


SPENCERPORT

•Meritt, Florence A., May 7, 2009, in Poolesville, Maryland at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Edwin J. Meritt. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law Dolores and Daniel Flynn Jr.; grandchildren Martha Robertson, Daniel, Andrew and Timothy Flynn; great-grandchildren Colleen and James Robertson; sister Thelma Durbin; extended family and friends.

A Funeral Mass was said May 14 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Spencerport. Contributions can be made to Montgomery Hospice, 1355 Piccard Drive, Suite 100, Rockville, Maryland 20850 in her memory.


•Stohr, Fredrick G., May 7, 2009. Age 83. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, June; children, Susan Stohr (Craig Wolfgang), James F. (Cathy) Stohr and Patricia Stohr (Edward) Hunt; grandchildren, Colby, Zachary and Andrew Stohr, Colin and Katherine Wolfgang and William Hunt; sister, Lois Semmelmayer and aunt, Geraldine Deisinger; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass was said May 12 at St. Christopher's Church, North Chili. Donations can be made to the School of the Holy Childhood, 100 Groton Parkway, Rochester 14623 or Palliative Center for Caring, 1450 Portland Ave., Rochester 14621 in his memory.


•Wright, George W., May 8, 2009. Survived by his loving wife, Anna Jane (Smith) Wright. Survived by his daughter, Karen and husband Rich Gustke and daughters, Kimmy Smith and her partner Sandi Stone. Survived by loving family members Gary (Sharon) Smith, Jimmy and Sharon Smith; grandchildren, Jason and Cory Smith, Matthew and Colleen Smith, Rachael, Hannah and Beth Smith, Ashley and Brittany Evans; great-grandchildren, Sidney and Zachary Smith; his babies, Bella and Lola; brother-in-law William (Sharon) Sullivan; many extended family members, including sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, too many friends to mention, many at Patriots Bingo Hall. George was a US Navy Veteran. He retired in 1982 after 32 years of service at Eastman Kodak as maintenance supervisor. He was a member of the Ferris Goodridge American Legion Post #330, Spencerport and a Culver-Ridge Volunteer Fireman and a member of Spencerport Exempt.

A Memorial Service was held May 11 at the Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, Greece. Donations can be made to Journey Home, 994 Long Pond Road, Rochester 14626, or Lollypop Farm in his memory.
