•Rodak, Elizabeth J., (Ruestow), May 14, 2010, age 87. Survived by her husband of 61 years, George; son, James Rodak; daughters, Janice (David) Preston, Joanne (James) Gunzburg; grandchildren, Mark Rodak, Lynn (Joseph) Frillici, Jennifer (Anthony) Strazzeri, Craig Sauers; great-grandson, Jonathan; sister, Louise Trenchard; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was said May 18 at Holy Cross Church, Rochester. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester 14612 or to a charity of one’s choice in her memory.


BROCKPORT

•Miller, Donna E., a retired substitute teacher for Brockport Central School District, died May 13, 2010, after a brief battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband, Eddie, and her beloved daughter, Christine (Rob) Jaimerena. She is survived by her devoted children, Shari (Herb) Lurie of California, Dan (Dee) Miller of Georgia, and Sandy (Bob) Raufeisen of Kent; grandchildren, Jake, Cory, Brenna Miller, Emily, Robbie, Jordan and Kyle Jaimerena, and Tyler and Tory Raufeisen; brothers Richard (Carol) and Ed Pickering and sister Ellie Gillis and several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Pat (Rick) Hamlin and Elsa Barber and their children.

Funeral Services were held May 17 at The Church of the Nativity BVM, Brockport. Donations can be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester 14626 in her memory.


•Roman, Charles J., On May 12, 2010, at the age of 95. Predeceased by his sisters, Agnes Sullivan and Stella Roman. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Vivian; children Victoria Thomas, William (Magene) Roman, Nancy (John) Maxwell, Richard (Virginia) Roman; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Anne Lamberson and Helen Krolak.

Interment was held May 18 at Lake View Cemetery, Brockport. Contributions can be made to Hamilton Manor Nursing Home or Lifetime Care Hospice of Rochester in his memory.


•Streeter, Janice K., age 64, died April 27, 2010, in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. Janice was born in Cortland, the daughter of Willis and Lucille Atkins Streeter. Janice lived in Brockport for more than 22 years and worked as senior cook for NYS Office of Children & Family Services-Industry Residential in Rush for 11 years. She was a member of the McGrawville Baptist Church; a 20-year member of the Manitou Yacht Club; a member of the American Culinary Federation for 20 years and Gold Circle member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. Surviving is her partner of over 25 years, Sharon Trainor of Brockport; her brother, Willis Streeter Jr. of Cortland; several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins from both sides of their families. She was predeceased by her father, Willis Streeter in 2002, her mother, Lucille Streeter in 2008; a brother, Charles in 1990; sister-in-law, Sandy Ellis Streeter in 2000, and her in-law Josephine Trainor in 1998.

Interment was May 1 in McGraw, New York. A Memorial in her remembrance was held May 22 at the VFW/American Legion, Brockport. CHURCHVILLE

•DePoty, Charles A. “Chuck,” May 16, 2010 at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Carole DePoty; children, Shawn DePoty, Tamara Alexander, Jodi Alexander, Chuckie, Penny, Mark, Laurie and Keith DePoty; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Hank DePoty, Velma Banker and Patty Wells; his beloved dog Jenna.

A Memorial Service was held May 21 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Churchville. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.


•Vink, LaVerne, unexpectedly on May 13, 2010. Born April 22, 1927. Predeceased by his parents, John C. (Edna Sturges) Vink Sr. and brother Gordon. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Pfaff Vink; children David (Donna), Jayne Vink and Susan (Earl) Stich; grandchildren, Michael (Andrea), Timothy (Laura), Kristin, Jamie Vink, Kyle and Jason Stich; future great-grandchild; several cousins, nieces and nephews. A life long farmer and family man, he was born in the Vink Homestead in the Town of Wheatland.

Funeral Services were held May 17 at the Alhart Funeral Home, Caledonia. Interment, Mumford Rural Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Riga Congregational Church, 7057 Chili Riga Center Road, Churchville 14428 in his memory.


CLARENDON

•Robinson, Gerald J., age 87, died May 18, 2010. Gerald was a life member of the Clarendon Fire Co. and the Holley Rod and Gun Club. He was also a member of the Clarendon Historical Society, the Disciples United Methodist Church and was a life-long farmer. He was predeceased by his brother James (Pat) Robinson in November 2009. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Arlene (Darch) Robinson; children, Diane (Ronald) Whalin, Allen (Sharon) Robinson; six grandchildren, Amy (Mike) Bennage, Michele (fiancé Chris) Strickland, Allen Robinson Jr., Scott Whalin, Carrie (Jim) Schutz, Patrick (Abby) Robinson; 10 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Funeral Services were held May 22 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Holley. Interment, North Byron Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Clarendon Fire Company, Disciples United Methodist Church, or Lakeside Beikirch Nursing Home in his memory.


HILTON

•Johnson, Alice T. (Passarella), May 16, 2010 at age 84. Predeceased by her parents and brothers, James and Robert. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, G. Jack Johnson; children, Jim (Pat) Johnson, Ken (Sue) Johnson, and Cathi (Don) Struble; grandchildren, Tina Nau, Shari (Terry) Cap, Keith Johnson, Shawn Johnson and Jamie (Dave) Orians; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Tyler, Jordan, Nicole, Kevin, and Parker; nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral Services were held May 18 at the New Comer Funeral Home, Greece. Private interment.


OGDEN

•Stromquist, Phyllis J. (Carpino), On May 14, 2010 at age of 79. She was predeceased by her husband James M. Stromquist, her parents Carmelo and Mary (Polito) Carpino, brothers, Andrew, Salvatore and Anthony Carpino; sisters, Josephine Loverdi, Mary Arnone, Sandy Leo and Jenny Perrone. Phyllis is survived by her devoted and loving daughters, Cathy (Alicia Manuse) and Lori (Cathy Saxton) Stromquist; her son, Jim (Beth) Stromquist, Jr.; granddaughters, Jessica, Amanda, Alana and Kayla Stromquist; sisters, Camille (Henry) Steves and Frances (Donald) Condello; sisters-in-law, Carmel Carpino, Vilma Carpino, Zella Morrison, Marcia Stromquist and Beverly Frisch; brother-in-law, Lawrence Stromquist; 17 nieces, 13 nephews and numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

SPENCERPORT

•Quigley, Laura J., May 14, 2010 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years Jack Quigley, her parents, Lawrence and Edith Jinks, sisters, Mary Tobin and Carol Gager. She is survived by her children, Susan (Art) Wilcox, David (Elizabeth) Quigley and Karen Quigley; sisters, Phyllis Williams and Betty (Bill) Joyce; her seven grandchildren especially Jesse Buell; four great-grandchildren. Laura was a life member of Ferris Goodridge Ladies Auxiliary Unit #330 and Monroe County Past President, a member of the Red Hat Society and retired from Sporting Dogs Specialities.

A Memorial Mass was said May 22 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, St. John’s Cememtery. Contributions can be made to the Ladies Auxiliary in her memory.
