AREA

•Thompson, Mary Elizabeth (Betty), 89, of Nashville, Tennessee died December 7, 2008, after a three month illness. Mrs. Thompson resided in Brockport and Lake Mary, Florida before moving to Nashville. She graduated from SUNY College in Brockport, and was a teacher and librarian. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Wayne Thompson, daughter Christine Hageman of Davidson, North Carolina, sister Virginia Hinds of Rochester and brother Howard Borland of Apopka, Florida. She is survived by sons Gary Thompson (and his wife Peggy) of Nashua, New Hampshire, Kenneth Thompson (and his wife Nancy) of Davidsonville, Maryland; daughter Pam Beziat of Nashville, Tennessee; sister Dorothy Crego of Rochester; three grandsons, three granddaugthers and one great granddaughter.

A Memorial Service will be held June 13, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Adams Basin United Methodist Church, with interment following at Garland Cemetery.

•Evans, D. Eleanor, January 12, 2009. A Memorial Service was held May 16 at the Christian Center, Lake Road, Brockport.


•Knab, Loren E. “Poppy,” May 16, 2009, age 90. Predeceased by his wife, Esther, 1986. Survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Gerald Maar; grandchildren, Scott (Debby) Maar, Amy (Andy) Stoker, Holly (Ted) Sheehan; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Natalie, Stephanie and Alex; special friend, Dottie Howell and her son, Craig (Ann) Howell; sister-in-law, Evelyn Knab; brothers-in-law, Howard and Robert Ellis; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services were held May 20 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment, Lakeview Cemetery, Brockport. Contributions can be made to First Presbyterian Church of Brockport or Lakeside Foundation in his memory.


•Miens, Ronald I., died May 12, 2009. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Bernice (Partridge); sons, David (Cynthia), Isaac M.; daughters Jenna (John) Davis, Rachel L. Davis and Crystal (Prince) Unegbu. Also survived by brother-in-law, James (Debbie) Partridge and by many other close friends and family members. Ron was preceded by in death by his son, Scott Issac Miens.

A Memorial Services was held May 23 at Henrietta Vineyard. Interment, private.


•Seymour, Ruby E., age 89, died May 14, 2009. Survived by her children, Mike Seymour, Angela (Buck) Rodgers; grandchildren, Adam (Amy), Rick, Matthew (Christina), Jeffrey Rodgers, Kim (Mike) Desimone and her best friend, Barb.

A Funeral Service was held May 17 at the Crossroads Progressive Chapel, Greece.


•Uderitz, Donald H., May 15, 2009, at age 76. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Mary Ann; children Kim (Chuck) Peashey, Lori Underitz-Zeno, Donald (Julie), Vicki (Todd) Brew. He was the proud grandfather of Adam (Christina), Jaimi, Zachary, Zoe, Tyler James, Tyler Andrew, Casi, Bailey, Sydney, Colby, Tanner; great-grandson, Donovan. He is also survived by his Aunt Clara and sister, Diane; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald was a past memberof 40 & 8 Club, Brockport Rotary, color guard and drum and bugle instructor and judge.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 19 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Brockport. Interment, Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be directed to the American Heart Association.


CHURCHVILLE

•Johnson, Mildred (Vormeng), May 10, 2009 at the age of 97 years. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 40 years, Gordon H. Johnson who died August 8, 1999.

A Memorial Mass was said May 20 at St. Vincent dePaul Church, Churchville. Private interment, Riga Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Riga Cemetery Association or the Churchville Volunteer Fire Department in her memory.


•Pimm, Ernest W., May14, 2009 at age 87. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Etta (Leathersich) Pimm. Survived by his daughters, Geraldine M. (James) Schnell and Ellen M. (Louis) Armarosa; grandchildren James (Dawn) Schnell of Pittsford, Carrie (Ty) Kirk of Rochester, George (Melissa) Schnell of North Chili, Ann Marie (Robert) Long of Penfield; great grandchildren, James and Julia Schnell, George Kirk, Alex and Nathan Long, Madison Schnell; his brother Lester Pimm; his sister Gladys Spring; several nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of the Riga Town Court and the NYS Thruway Authority.

Funeral Services were held May 16 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Churchville. Interment, Creekside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Lifetime Care Hospice or to Churchville Volunteer Fire Department in his memory.


•Roether, Jerald A., Suddenly on May 16, 2009. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Sandra; loving daughters, Allison and Andrea; brothers, Jerome and Dennis Roether; sister, Kay Pacha; sisters-in-law, Diane Elmslie and Valerie (Paul) VanScooter; many nieces and nephews.

•Arrington, Ryan L., May 16, 2009, at the age of 31. He is survived by his loving parents, Lee and Lorraine Arrington; brother, Randy (Debbie) of Arizona; sister Debra (Mohsen) Samhouri of Colorado; loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many loving friends.

•Moore, J. Luther “Bud,” May 16, 2009. Brother of Charles (Doris) of Medina, Mary Scheeder of Williamsville and the late Thelma Sessions; uncle of Patricia Hand, Elizabeth Rook, Jennifer Rook, Charles (Linda) Moore, Brian (Nancy) Moore and Clark Scheeder.

Services will be private. Mr. Moore owned and operated a farm in Hamlin for many years.

•Bronson, Jeannette I., May 14, 2009, age 86. She was predeceased by her husband, Warren, “Spike,” 1982. Survived by her loving children, Richard (Diane) Bronson, Carol Bronson and Joyce (Mark) Padoleski; her grandchildren, Carrie Padoleski, Mark (Colleen) Padoleski Jr., Scott (Kim) Bronson, Tyler Bronson, Diana (Keith) Damiano; great-grandsons, Mark III, Jack, Will and Drew; sister, Marilyn (Cliff) Wolff; sister-in-law, Marge Ingraham; also predeceased by brother, Richard Ingraham and sister, Beryl Campbell.

•Corcoran, Sharon M. (Warner), May 13, 2009 on her 66th birthday. Predeceased by her parents, David and Eleanor Warner; and brother, David. Survived by her husband of 44 years John B. Corcoran; beloved children Theresa M. (Paul) Skelly, Timothy B. (Carmen) Corcoran of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Kevin P. Corcoran and Colleen J. (Chris LaFlamme) Corcoran of Lawrenceville, New Jersey; seven granddaughters, Kristin, Deanna, Erin and Paula Skelly, BrieAnna and Isabella Corcoran and Caelyn LaFlamme.

•George, Ronald A., May 15, 2009 at age 47. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Emma George; brother, Richard Daughtry. Survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Robin George; cherished sons, Andrew, Stephen, Shawn and Tyler George; and several other family and friends.

•Hogan, James F., May 15, 2009. Predeceased by his mother and father, Amy and Frank Hogan; brother, John “Jack.” Survived by his sons, Thomas, Matthew, William, and Gerald; sisters, Dolores (James) West, Margaret (Michael) Coyle, Patricia Mannillo; brothers, Robert, David (Sharon), Garry (Tina); grandchildren, Katelyn, James, Ethan, and Sierra. James was a retiree of Delco Products and an Army Veteran.

•Robinson, Robert H., April 19, 2009, age 80 in Deltona, Florida. Bob will be greatly missed by his wife of 27 years Joan (Lemcke) Robinson. Loving children, Lynne Robinson, Constance (Daniel) La Cour; stepchildren, Richard (Lona), Michael (Jeanette) Lemcke, JoAnn (Paul) Fox and Jane Gebhardt (James). Grandpa Bob also leaves 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Donnelly, Gail (Leonard) Vicarro and Jaclyn (Martin) Riedl; brother, Bruce Robinson; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Eleanor (Semp) Robinson and his niece, Judy Donnelly. He was a WWII Army Veteran and Kodak retiree.

KENDALL

•Jurhs, Fayuna H., On May 12 at the age of 79. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Mildred Jurhs, two sisters, Evelyn Walsh and Norma Williams and two brothers Harold and Victor Jurhs. She is survived by her two sisters Ida Beatrice (Clifford) Provost, and Judy (Raymond) Ernenwein; brother-in-law John Williams; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

A Memorial Service was held May 17 at the Concordia Lutheran Church, Kendall. Interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to Concordia Lutheran Church of Kendall or the Kendall Volunteer Ambulance Corps in her memory.


KENT

•Albrecht, Carol (Coffee), 69, on May 17, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband John Albrecht, her grandson Michael Allen and her ex-husband Guy Coffee. Carol was much loved by her six children: Karen (Daniel) Eichas, Keith (Patty) Coffee, Laurie Allen, Dawn (Charles) Voorhees, Sandy (Dan) Schicker, Jennifer (Jim) Perry. Grandma Carol was especially proud of her 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her many longtime friends, especially Donna Pickett.

A Memorial Service was held May 23 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Villa or encourage someone to quit smoking in her memory.


MURRAY

•Benner-Fitzgerald, Addison, R., beloved daughter of Terrance Jr. and Angela Fitzgerald died May 18, 2009. Along with her parents, she will be missed by her four siblings, Terrance III, Azriella, Trenton and Todd; maternal grandparents, Joe and Bonnie Benner of Mooers; paternal grandparents, Susan Haag of Virginia, Terrance and Tammy Fitzgerald of St. Regis Falls; great grandparents, Sarah Benner of Arizona, Rena and Alfred Brassard of Mooers; many relatives, friends, and church family at the First Baptist Church of Holley.

Funeral Services were held May 23 at the First Baptist Church of Holley.


SPENCERPORT

•Dibble, Evelyn M., age 86, May 16, 2009 surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband Robert Dibble. She is survived by her children: Robert (Audrey) Dibble, Henry (April) Dibble, Riland (Millie) Dibble, Carolyn (Tad) Davidson, Debra Trabold, Sharon Buckland, Barbara (Daniel) LaDue, Tami (Robert) Foster; brother William Gardner; sister Annette Smith; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

•Harris, Dean D., of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Spencerport died suddenly May 9, 2009. He leaves a wife, Terry (Sandle); sons, Michael and James of Ocala, Florida; daughters, Dawn (Dave) Giordano of Rochester and Michele (Dave) DeCarlis of Beverly Hills, Florida; six grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie Blaschek, Jennifer Rigly, Davidde, Dena and Danny Giordano, all of Rochester; four great-grandchildren; a sister and brother of New York.

He will be buried at The National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.


•Wieczorek, Marian L., May 14, 2009 at age 84. She was predeceased by her husband Florian Wieczorek; her parents Anthony and Angeline (Sauro) Barber and her brother Michael Barber. She is survived by her sisters Antionette Barber, Josephine Lusk and Jeanette Barber; her sister-in-law Loretta Wieczorek; several nieces and nephews. She was a retiree of Delco Products following 39 years of service.

A Funeral Mass was said May 16 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Albion. Contributions can be made to St. John the Evangelist Church in her memory.
