AREA

•Verney, George R. "G.R.," in Venice, Florida, February 13, 2008, age 72. Survived by his wife, Judith (LaBaie) Verney; three sons, Michael A., Timothy R. (MaryJo) and Christopher G. Verney; two grandchildren, Benjamin George and Emma Grace Verney.

Funeral Services were held June 21 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Inurnment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Lung Association in his memory.


ADAMS BASIN

•Ginther, Rita M. (Post), On June 13, 2008 at age 82. Predeceased by her husband in 1995 Jack Ginther. She is survived by a special niece and nephew, Carol and Dick Pickering and Herb (Nancy) Post; great-nephews, Dennis (Sherie) Pickering and Scott Pickering; nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends, Ellen and Terry Carpenter and neighbors. Rita retired in 1992 after 35 years at the Adams Basin post office.

In honoring Rita's wishes there will be no services or calling. Private interment will be held at the family plot in Garland Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Spencerport Ambulance, Lyell Avenue, Spencerport, NY 14559, or Lakeside Memorial Hospital, 156 West Avenue, Brockport, NY 14420, in her memory.


BROCKPORT

•Duryea, Erwin "Ike", born January 27, 1929, in Clarkson, NY, Erwin Lowry "Ike" Duryea died June 15, 2008 at Strong Memorial Hospital Inpatient Hospice. He was a life-long resident of Clarkson, automobile enthusiast, business entrepreneur and quiet philanthropist. Mr. Duryea was in the automobile business nearly 60 years. After modest beginnings in Clarkson and Clarendon, he opened Duryea Motors, Inc. in Holley, then moved the Ford dealership to Brockport where he operated until its sale in 1986. Returning to Holley, he established ELD Motors until his 2006 retirement. As a real estate developer and entrepreneur, he pursued a variety of business interests, all in western Monroe County. Among his proudest achievements was the restoration of the former Gifford Morgan estate in Clarkson, including the 19th-century gristmill, ponds and surrounding forests near which he built the home where the family has resided since 1974. A 1947 graduate of Brockport High School, Mr. Duryea earned his B.A. from the State University of New York at Brockport in 1953. During the Korean War, he served in the National Guard's 89th Army Band, based in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Marilyn Lynch Duryea; daughters Charlene Duryea and Wendy (Phil) Dwyer; brother, Marvin (Barbara) Duryea; sisters-in-law, Marcia (Jack) Arend, Connie (late Charles) Lynch and Mary Duryea; and second cousins, Keith (Dawn) Olcott and Stephen (Jeanette) Olcott, M.D; many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 24 at the Brockport United Methodist Church, 92 Main Street, followed by a reception at the Morgan Manning House, 151 Main Street, where he was member of the Western Monroe Historical Society. Interment was held privately at Garland Cemetery. •Tuttle, Frances (Petori), June 14, 2008, age 91. Widow of Roy (Bud) Tuttle. Survived by her children, Michael (Sylvia) Tuttle, Patricia (Robert) Maxwell and Peter (Martha) Tuttle; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass was held June 21 at Nativity of B.V.M. Brockport. Private Interment, Lakeview Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Lifetime Hospice in her memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Bartlett, Geraldine (Steedman), 95, of Payson, Arizona, formerly of Churchville, died May 26, 2008. Geraldine was born at her parents' home in LeRoy, on February 20, 1913, daughter of the late Olive J. and David G. Steedman. She was pre-deceased by husbands Dallas Brice, Renssalaer Ward and Thomas Bartlett and her brother David Steedman. She is survived by her son, James Brice of Niagara Falls; sisters Erma Werth, Lucille Fodge and sister-in-law Lois Steedman of Churchville; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a niece; several nephews and cousins.

A graveside service was held June 18 at Churchville Cemetery, Churchville.


•Kohlman, A. Peggy, June 16, 2008 at the age of 69. She is survived by her loving husband Francis J. Kohlman; her daughters, Jacqueline (Tom) Wittick, Diane (Dwain) Gratton; grandchildren, Patrick and Jennifer Wittick; her siblings, Mary Lou (Norman) Pawlak, Ronald, William (Gerry), John (Debby) LaMattina; several nieces and nephews. Peggy retired from Churchville Insurance Agency with over 30 years of service.

A Funeral Mass was said June 19 at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Churchville. Interment, Creekside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Churchville Fire Department in her memory.


HILTON

•Liotta, Mary C. (Cavuoto), June 12, 2008, at age 74. She is predeceased by her son, Jim; and granddaughter, Summer Liotta-Barrera. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Carla) and Christopher (Dawn) Liotta; grandchildren, Brandon, Gary (Julia), James, Christopher, Vincent Liotta and Matthew (Sara) Barrera; 11 sisters and brothers; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held June 17 at New Comer Funeral Home, Greece. Interment, Riverside Cemetery.


•Smith, Floyd V., age 77, June 16, 2008. Survived by his family and friends. He will be sadly missed. Per his request there will be no formal services.


KENDALL

•Massey, Victoria "Phyllis" (nee Chapman) (Riddle), June 16, 2008 at age 82 formerly of Englewood, Colorado. Predeceased by son James Riddle, brother Fred Chapman, former husband George Riddle and son-in-law Matt Wroblewski. Survived by daughter and caregiver Vicki Wroblewski; sister Grace Jones of Colorado; brother Charles Chapman of Alabama; daughter-in-law Cathy Riddle of South Dakota; foster sons Jack Hulsey and family of Wisconsin, Roscoe Hulsey and family of Oklahoma; grandchildren Matthew, Sarah, Luke Wroblewski, Jessie Riddle of South Dakota, Nicole Fath of Minnesota; four great grandchildren Mazie, Zoe, Hope and Ryan; many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held in Colorado at a later date.


SPENCERPORT

•MacDonald, Oleta, June 11, 2008 at age 92, with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband W. Malcolm MacDonald. She is survived by her children, Elaine (Charles) McAdam, Andrea MacDonald, Jonathan (Barb) MacDonald and Linda Brodie MacDonald; her grandchildren, Laura, Aaron, Meredith, Ian and Joel; her great grandchildren, Amanda, Kaitlyn, Cassie, Taylor, Kylie, Brittany, Carlos, Emily and Cody; her dear niece, Emily Kleman and her cousin, Leonard Elms. Oleta was a member of the Faith Baptist Church for many years.

Funeral Services were held June 14 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Interment, North Chili Rural Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Mt. Carmel House Inc. "Hospice," 4 Planet Street, Rochester 14606 in her memory.


•Randall, Philip R. "Satch" "Dick", June 17, 2008. Dick is survived by his wife, Marge A. (MacLean) Randall; children, Tony (fiancee, Terri Stoddart) Randall and Vickie (Mike) Tierney; grandchildren, Jason (Angela) Randall, Adam (Nicole) Randall; great-grandson Phillip Randall; sister Claudia (Sam) LaPlaca; brother-in-law, James Doris; sister-in-law, Nancy Bink; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Dick founded Ramar Steel in 1969.
