BERGEN

•Blair, M. Robert "Bob," Age 83, July 6, 2008. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen Brundage Blair; sons, Richard (LeeAnn) Blair and Jerry (Gail) Blair; daughters, Carolyn (Jerry) Weit, Nancy (Dave) Gardner and Linda (Dick) Ayres; a brother and four sisters; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Interment with Graveside Prayers was held July 10 in White Haven Memorial Park. Contributions can be made to the family in his memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Kavanagh, Frances Bonita "Bonnie", died April 13, 2008 in Boynton Beach, Florida. She was well known in Churchville as a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church, where she taught catechism. She worked at Churchville-Chili School as a librarian for many years before she progressed to the Univeristy of Rochester, and then on to being the Housing Administrator for Rochester Institute of Technology, before retiring. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Terry; three children, Ellen Janda, Rockport, Washington, Pat Kavanagh, Bergen and Kathy Hamlin, Orange City, Florida; eight grandchildren and four natural great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held July 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Churchville. After the burial, the wake will follow at the American Legion in Churchville.


•Lucas, Frederic H., July 6, 2008 at age 75. He is survived by his wife, Frances; his sons, Frederic (Glida), Terrance (Margaret), Scott (Cindy) Lucas; granddaughters, Nicole, Lorranie, Renee, Andrea, Elizabeth, Bailey and Taylor; great-granddaughter, Brittany; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; special friends, Adam and Elysia Cristantello.

A Memorial Service was held July 10 at New Comer Funeral Home, Greece. Interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to Oncology Unit, c/o Unity St. Mary's Campus at the Unity Health Foundation or Lifetime Care Hospice in her memory.


•Snyder, John P. Sr., July 6, 2008 at age 88. He is survived by his wife Doris (Bergin) Snyder; son, John P. Snyder Jr. and other family members and friends. John was a graduate of Duke University and served as a Naval Officer during WWII.

HAMLIN

•Steffenhagen, Scott A. "Zoomer," June 25, 2008, age 42. Predeceased by his cousin, Pam Patterson. Survived by his parents, Barbara Steffenhagen and Raymond (Vicki) Steffenhagen; sister, Sandra (Scott) Bailey; grandparents, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

HILTON

•Farese, Kathleen (Kammer), July 6, 2008, age 45. She is survived by her husband, Michael Farese III; her sons, Michael IV and Nicholas Farese; her mother-in-law, Barbara Farese; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Norma Kammer.

A Funeral Mass was said July 9 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Michael Farese III for a fund that will be established for her sons' education, P. O. Box 745, Hilton 14468 in her memory.


KENDALL

•Bastian, Mary Alice, On July 9, 2008, at age 71. Predeceased by her mother Elinor, father James and brother James. Survived by her loving husband of 52 years Ralph; children Kenneth (Michelle), Mark (Donna), Kathleen (Thomas) Haver; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law Roger (Carolyn), Harvey (Terry) Bastian; sisters-in-law Rose Mary Bastian and Alice Latin.

Private interment. Contributions can be made to the American Lung Association in her memory.


NORTH CHILI

•Hunter, Robert A., Age 84, July 7, 2008. Predeceased by his son, Erik. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Louise; his children Gregg (Janice) Hunter of Dunstable, Massachusetts, Carolyn Hunter of Durango, Colorado and Jeanne (Adam) Micklin of West Chester, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Elsa and Greta Micklin; brother, Vernon of Canandaigua. Bob worked for Eastman Kodak as an Industrial Engineer for 35 years. He served on the Churchville Chili's School Board, Monroe County School Boards Association, Chili's Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals, former president of the Rochester chapter of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers. Bob enjoyed the outdoors with his family, including camping, canoeing, gardening and running/walking.

SPENCERPORT

•Carapella, Angelina V. (Ferretti), June 26, 2008 at age 85. Predeceased by her husband Ross Carapella; parents, Anthony and Anna Ferretti; brother, Francis Ferretti; sisters, Elvira Chiavaroli and Ellen Leonardo. She is survived by her children, Alan (Diane) Carapella, Peter (Lisa Napolitano) Carapella; brother-in-law, Jack Leonardo; sister-in-law, Grace Mastrogiovanni; several nieces and nephews.

All services were held at the convenience of the family.


•Covington, Lois, July 3, 2008. Predeceased by her husband, Roy Covington. Survived by her daughter, Eunice DeTaeye; granddaughter, Claire DeTaeye; sister Margaret Brower; brother, Bernard Cliff; several nieces and nephews. Lois was a member of the Genesee Valley Antique Car Club. In Lois' honor please perform a good deed for someone.

•DiGiacco, Julia, July 6, 2008, at age 83. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Vincent; children, Julie (Tom Gately) Boughner, Nancy (Don) Nash, Vincent DiGiacco Jr., Thomas (Rachel) DiGiacco; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was held July 8 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Greece. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.


•Palumbo, Michelina F. "Mickey" (Bellini), July 7, 2008. Predeceased by her husband, Michael Palumbo and son, Michael Palumbo. She is survived by her children, Lucille (Michael) Seitz, Roseann (Dave) Sine; daughter-in-law Deborah Palumbo; grandchildren, Michele (Gino) Agostinelli, Michael (Wendy) Seitz, Kim (Aaron) McDonald, Kristin (Keith) Kinz, Kerrie (James) Gianvecchio, Eric Palumbo and Danielle Palumbo; seven great-grandchildren; sister Amelia Baccaro; brother-in-law Arthur (Jean) Palumbo; several nieces and nephews.

•Spano, Salvatore "Sal," July 8, 2008, at age 77. Predeceased by his siblings Grace Rocco and Joseph Spano. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Mary (Birkedahl) Spano; his children, Deborah (Wayne) McCrossen, Doreen Rohr of Rochester, Daniel (Donna) Spano of Bergen, Robert Spano and Anthony "Tony" Spano; his sisters, Ann Amarosa, Chancy (Joseph) Stefanini, Marie (William) Stefanini and Dolores (Howard) Bender; his grandchildren, Jessica Alvord, Dorsey, Earl, Cynthia, David and Cathleen Mack, Heather Spano, Kayla McCrossen, Alex, Anthony, Nicholas, Kandis and Danielle Spano; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company, a former employee of Ber-National and was Past Master of Warren C. Hubbard Lodge #964 F. & A.M.
