AREA

•Mahle, Kenneth, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, age 55, loving husband of Susan J. Mahle for 33-1/2 years, and father of Christine (Glenn) Rowan, Paul and Kevin (Jenna), died July 8, 2010, after a courageous, two-year battle with liver cancer. He was born in Lima, Ohio, to Warren G. and the late Norma A. Mahle. Most of his life was lived in Rochester, where he graduated from Churchville-Chili High School and attended night school to earn his Journeyman’s Papers in Tool and Die. Later, Ken moved his family to Rock Hill, South Carolina to pursue other job opportunities.

In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his granddaughter, Aleena Joy Rowan; brother, Norman H. (Sharon) of Lynchburg, Virginia; sister, Marjorie (Phil) Prouty of North Chili; several nieces and nephews.

A Service to celebrate Ken’s life was held July 24 at New Hope Community Church, North Chili. Contributions can be made to New Hope Community Church Building Fund, 3355 Union Street, North Chili 14514 in his memory.


•Murphy, Marcia (McNall), of Austin, Texas, died suddenly March 8, 2010 at her home. She was born on December 20, 1949 to Thomas and Jacqueline McNall of Albion.

Her family owned McNall’s Furniture Store in Albion, Hilton and Spencerport. Marcia’s love for furniture and interior design began in the family business and culminated in a 40 year career in the interior design industry. She was an accomplished pianist, songwriter and singer.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Murphy of Austin, Texas and her children Karin Bash of Los Angeles, California and her son Brian Bash of Austin, Texas. Also surviving are her siblings, Tom McNall of Rochester, John McNall and wife Sandra of Spencerport, and her sister Tracy Picone and husband Mark of Austin, Texas; nephew Matt McNall, and nieces Laurel McNall, Kayla McNall and Melissa McNall of Rochester, and Julie McNall of Los Angeles. She is also survived by many other family members including sister-in-law Donna MacDougall, and Charlie’s mother and step-father Barbara and John Crooks of Geneva, New York, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donations can be made in her name to the American Heart Association. A celebration of her life was held July 24 at the First Presbyterian Church, Albion.


BROCKPORT

•Dupra, Darrel A., Peacefully on July 14, 2010. Darrel is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Mary Wanzer; children Jeffery, Zachary and Whitney; father Bernard; sisters Darlene and Dale Ann.

A private service will be held for his family. Donations can be made to The Mountainview Association, Owl’s Head, NY 12969 in his memory.


•Fuhry, Kathleen, died July 3, 2010. She is predeceased by her father, Albert and brother, Michael. She is survived by her mother, Jean Mattice; sisters, Barbara (William) Howes, Dorene (Wilbert) Fountain, Jean Fuhry; brother, Jim (Wendy) Fuhry; aunts, Shirley Fuhry and Judy Fuhry; several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated July 24 at St. John The Evangelist Church of Spencerport. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice in her memory.


•Rose, Alberta R., On July 19, 2010 at age 96. Predeceased by her husband Earl, son William, grandson David and son-in-law Buck Rodas. She is survived by her daughter Shirley Rodas; son Frederick (Jan) Rose; daughter-in-law Ruth Rose; eight grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held July 21 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, July 22 at Garland Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Hamlin Methodist Church in her memory.


•Vaughan, Mildred D. (DeRuyscher), age 97, died July 22, 2010 at the Lakeside Beikirch Care Center. Pre-deceased by husband, Herbert “Yub” Vaughan in 1991 and brother, Howard DeRuyscher. Survived by daughter, Lynette (Frank) Cox of Greece and son, Laurence (Barbara) Vaughan of Brockport; granddaughter, Kimberly V. (Eric) Park of Concord, North Carolina; great-grandson, Dante Park; step-grandchildren and their families Angelia (Bryan) Pawlicki of Maryland, Stephen (Sherri) Cox of Rochester, Timothy (Phaeng) Cox of Rochester; sister-in-law, Beatrice DeRuyscher of Brockport; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a retiree of Brockport Central School, past member of the Lakeside Twig Association and member of the First Baptist Church of Brockport.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 31 at 10 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery, Brockport. Contributions can be made to Brockport First Baptist Church Endowment Fund, 124 Main Street, Brockport 14420 or Lakeside Foundation, BCC Recreation Fund, 156 West Avenue, Brockport 14420 in her memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Muniz, Alice (Weiler), July 14, 2010, at 99 years. She was predeceased by her husband, John Weiler; her brothers, Arthur and Luther Weiler. She is survived by her nephews, Wayne (Donna), Bruce (Ann) Weiler; her niece, Joan LaMassa; sister-in-law, Lillian Weiler; her neighbors, close dear friends and care givers for many years, Neal and Sue Helton, Linda and Don Wilkins and Audrey and Paul Saylor.

HAMLIN

•Sigler, Ruby A., July 17, 2010, age 81. Predeceased by her husband, Donald. Survived by her sons, Donald E. and Dale E. (Carol) Sigler; grandchildren, Cristy (Michael) Vail, Raymond and Donald S. (Carrie) Sigler; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Tyler, Colin and Caleb.

•Faulconbridge, Isabella “Stell”, July 19, 2010 at age 79. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard. Survived by her sons, Bernie (Nancy), Ian; grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Rebecca and their mother, Patty; great-granddaughter, Marissa; brother, Ron Mercer (and family); dearest friend, Dorothy Shannon and many other dear friends; as well as her neighbors that meant so much to her.

•Walsh, Robert P., July 21, 2010 at age 86. Predeceased by his brother, Richard; sister, Jean; son-in-law, John Skorupski; and daughter-in-law, Justine Walsh. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marie; children, Patricia (Brandon) Watson, Michael (Debbie), Mary Ellen (Joseph) Martin, Robert (Deanna), Joanne Walsh (Jack Nelligan), William (Shalena) and Mark (Teri); 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, James (Jane); sister, Helen Redmond; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was a Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea, one of the founding fathers of St. Christopher’s Church and a member of the American Legion.

A Funeral Mass was said July 24 at St. Christopher’s Church, North Chili. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his memory.


PARMA

•White, Ronald J., July 14, 2010, age 50. Survived by his wife, Deborah (Carter) White; his children, Ronald (Kate Schiffhauer) and Alyssa (Joshua Swaney) White; grandson Ryan; his mother, Gail White; mother-in-law, Gladys Carter; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

•DiRisio, Giulio “Julius,” also of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died July 16, 2010. Survived by his wife, Michela “Mickey” (Trapani); children, Matthew (Lori), Lucy (Mike) Bonanno, Mark (Dawn), and Dean (Barb); grandchildren, Giuliana, Angela, Alyssa, Michael, Giulio, Dominic, Michele, Lucas, Giulio; sister, Filomena DeFillippo; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of Delco.

Funeral Services were held July 21 at Lakeshore Community Church, Rochester. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.


•Ludwig, Robert P., July 7, 2010. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Suzanne (Ruflin) Ludwig; children, Laurie (Michael) Gorton, Valerie (David) Ketchum, Robin (Jeffrey) Schoepfel, Sharon (Douglas) Lasch; grandchildren, Rachel, Brett, Daniel, Matthew (Shauna), Andrew, Joshua, Brian, Jessica and Nicholas. Robert was a decorated USMC veteran of the Korean War.

•Stettner, Ernest Richmond “Rich,” July 4, 2010 at the age of 83. Rich is survived by his wife Joan “Tiny” Stettner; children, Rodney (Patricia) Stettner, Pamela (John) Trenton, Kimberly (Thomas) Rodak, Timothy Forsyth; grandchildren, Clayton and Cortney Forsyth, Thomas and Whitney Rodak; great-granddaughter, McKenzie Forsyth; sister, Doris (Frank) Kilby; many nieces, nephews and special cousins, and many dear friends. He retired from Rochester Products after 35 years of service.
