ALBION

•Setchell, Elisa (Lee) Muenzfeld, of the Villages of Albion, died July 20, 2009, at age 91. She was predeceased by her husband, John Stanford Setchell, daughter Alison (Thomas) Carroll, and brother Albert Muenzfeld. She is survived by her children John S. (Judy) Setchell, Gail (Thomas) Kihn, Mary (Barry) Myers, Will (Patty) Setchell and Alan (Wendy) Setchell; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Ellen Muenzfeld; two nephews and one niece. She was a long time resident of West Islip, NY.

A Memorial Service was held July 25 at Fowler Funeral Home, Brockport. Contributions can be made to Pet Rescue Services or the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.


BROCKPORT

•Fudge, Christine A. (Rothfuss), unexpectedly July 15, 2009, at age 46. Predeceased by her mother, Cecelia Murphy. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Keith; canine companion, Audy; father, Lawrence (Lucille) Rothfuss; sister, Rita (Gary) Lucko; brothers, Kenneth (Tracy) Rothfuss and William (Julie) Murphy; step-father, Danny Murphy; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Christine served in the Gulf War and was a life member of the Holley VFW.

Funeral Services were held July 20 at New Comer Funeral Home, Greece. Contributions can be made to the Batavia Chapter 166 of DAV, Van Replacement Fund, 222 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY 14020 in her memory.


HILTON

•Rodwell, Alice J., Peacefully, July 19, 2009, age 67. She was predeceased by her husband, Gary, 2008. She is survived by her mother, Jean Haus; her brother, Arthur (Sandy) Haus; her sister, Sally (Mark) Herington; sister-in-law, Betty Rodwell; nieces and nephews, Bonnie Jennings, Kris (Rich) Niles, Kara (Chad) Roggow, Jenna Herington, Larry (Brenda) Rodwell, Tim (Sarah) Haus; great-nieces and nephews; her cousins, Nadine LaCroix, Kathy Prince, Karen Streb and Sue Wicker; devoted friends, Sandy Campbell and Marianne Schlater; special neighbors, Gary and Debbie Dean.

A Memorial Gathering will be held later in August, date and time to be announced. Contributions can be made to Lifetime Hospice, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623 in her memory.


•Zukaitis, Paul, July 19, 2009 at age 92. He is survived by his children, Matthew (Rosalie), Eileen and Elaine; grandchildren, Teri Giesler-Zukaitis and Tina Zukaitis; two great-grandchildren; brother, Victor (Pat) Zukaitis; special niece, Coralyn (Victor) Walhberg; many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was said July 22 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, St. John’s Cemetery, Spencerport. Contributions can be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester 14626 or to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.


HOLLEY

•Hendel, Arthur A., age 90, died July 13, 2009 at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, and was employed at Rochester Products for 42 years until his retirement in 1980. Arthur was the owner of Hendel Farms in Holley and has been working there for over 50 years right up to the present. In 2001, Arthur was predeceased by his wife, Rita of 58 years. He is survived by six children, Timothy Hendel of Alabama, Christine (Robert) Smith of Albion, Paul (Virginia) Hendel of Holley, Richard (Becky) Hendel of Brockport, Andrew (Ann) Hendel of Holley, Anne (Jeff) McSweeney of Ohio; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews and special loving friend Louise Harty.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said July 24 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Contributions can be made to the Holley Volunteer Ambulance, 6 Thomas Street, Holley 14470 in his memory.


•Keys, George H., On July 20, 2009 at age 80. Survived by his loving children, Janis (Mark) Sponhower, Randall Keys and Kevin Keys; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; step-children, Rocky and Sonia; brother, Stanley Keys; sister, Evelyn Metzger and special friend, Christine Allen. George was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and was a retired supervisor for Eastman Kodak Company. He was an avid fisherman and was proud to be a part of the first little league team to play baseball in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Funeral Services will be private for the family.


KENDALL

•Brown, Harley R., age 83, formerly of Kendall, died July 18, 2009 at the Villages of Orleans. He was a lifelong farmer, working lastly at Hicks Hollow in Barre Center. He was predeceased by his wife Ella Mae in 2004. He is survived by two sons, Dennis (Nancy) Brown of Clarendon, Roger Brown of Rochester; four grandchildren, Melissa (Michael) Dudek, Heather, Wesley, Gina Brown; great grandchildren, Connor Michael Dudek, Haley Marie Brown, Ella Dudek; a brother, Bill Brown of Buffalo; nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service was held July 22 at Hillside Cemetery, Holley. Contributions can be made to Hospice of Orleans in his memory.


•Szozda, Randolph, age 52, died suddenly June 23, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Szozda was predeceased by his father. He is survived by his mother, his brother and sister-in-law, one niece and one nephew.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Saturday, August 1, 11 a.m. in St. Mark’s RC Church, Kenmor Road, Kendall. Interment at the family’s convenience in Riverside Cemetery.


NORTH CHILI

•Holmes, Floyd R. “Russ,” of Rochester, formerly of North Chili, died July 20, 2009 at age 82. Predeceased by his parents, Floyd L. and Doris M. (Herrmann) Holmes; brother, Douglas M. Holmes. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet R. (Beideck); daughter and son-in-law, Christine H. and Frank Post; grandchildren, Jennifer and Kimberly Post; brother, Ronald (Sue) of Rochester, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Marie Holmes; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and friends. Floyd was a member of the Unity Lodge (Masons), Etolian Chapter (OES) and NCT Camping Group. He was a US Navy Veteran and served on the USS Navasota (1944-1946).

Funeral Services were held July 23 at the New Comer Funeral Home, Greece. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association in his memory.


SPENCERPORT

•Dickinson, Edward F. “Ed,” July 17, 2009 at age 71. Predeceased by wife, Barbara (Jordan). He is survived by his daughters, Tracy and Karen (David) Hummel; grandsons, Brian and Daniel; sister, Sherrill Parsons; many nieces, nephews. Ed was an Army Veteran and Kodak retiree.

A Funeral Service was held July 21 at the All Seasons Chapel, White Haven Memorial Park. Contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.


•Hurley, Geraldine Mae (Sanford), July 17, 2009. Known as Jean to her family and friends, died peacefully at the Episcopal Church Home. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth. Survived by daughter Marlene (Larry) Kramer; sons, Dean (Lyn Vanalstyne), David (Yves Morin) and Ken; siblings, Mary, June, Barbara and Harold; five grandchildren that she dearly loved. Born in Groveland, NY, Jean came to Spencerport in 1955 with her husband Ken.

Services and interment private. Contributions can be made to the Episcopal Church Home, 505 Mt. Hope Avenue, Rochester 14620 in her memory.
