AREA

•Flagg, Eunice Dell, age 84, of Perry, Florida, died July 30, 2010 at Doctor’s Memorial Hospital in Perry. Mrs. Flagg was a registered nurse and has lived in Perry since 1978, moving from Rochester. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William “Bill” Harold Flagg, of Perry; son, James Michael Flagg, and wife Susan, of Rochester; two daughters, Jill Idella Whidden and husband Bob, of Cocoa, Florida and Becky Sue Jarrells, and husband Marty, of Perry; brother, Preston McLeod, of Panama City, Florida; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were held August 3 in the Joe P. Burns Memorial Chapel, Perry, Florida. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery.


•Walker, L. Edward, of Rochester, died July 30, 2010, age 90. Predeceased by his wife, Mary and his son, Thomas. Survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Paul Taylor of Hamlin; and his “special companion” Tucker. He was drafted into the US Army in WWII where he served as a machine gunner in the 79th Infantry Division, being a Battle of the Bulge survivor. After Germany was defeated, he was transferred to the 1st Inf. Div. and served as a “mess sergeant” for the guards at the Nuremburg War Crimes Trials. He retired in 1982 from Eastman Kodak. He was active in Boy Scouts of America and various Rochester Masonic groups.

Services were held August 5 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment, Fairfield Cemetery, Spencerport. Contributions can be made to the Masonic Brotherhood Fund, 979 Bay Road, Webster 14580 or the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport 14450 in his memory.


BROCKPORT

•Goehle, Ronald K., August 3, 2010 at the age of 74. Predeceased by his parents and brother Robert. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Betty; children John J. (Betsy), Robin Heather (Paul) Bornemann; six grandchildren Jenna and Kristen Goehle, Zachery and Alex Bornemann, Elyse and Megan Hoffer; and brother Oscar Jr. (Wilma).

•Klafehn, Robert H., of Canandaigua and Brockport, died on August 4, 2010 at age 79. Predeceased by his wife Janet O., parents Hugo and Wilhelmina, and brother Paul. He is survived by his daughter Kim (Joe) Tastrom; son Steven Klafehn; grandchildren Katie Tastrom, Dylan and Taylor Klafehn; brothers Mark (Joan) Klafehn, Richard (Eva) Klafehn; brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held August 6 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the House of John, 14 Spring Street, Canandaigua, NY 14432 in his memory.


GREECE

•Brown, Robert John, August 2, 2010 at age 85. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Janet Brown; his children, Christopher (Kathy) Brown, Jacqueline (Thomas) Croft, Alison (William) Vandertang, Daniel (Patricia) Brown, Douglas (Karin) Brown; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother; James (Jean) Brown; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a long-time partner of Sear-Brown. Past partner of Deerfield Country Club, Past President of Greece Rotary Club, Town of Greece engineer for many years and he received the Paul Harris award from the Rotary Club. Robert was an Army Veteran of World War II.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated August 6 at St. Mark’s Church. Private Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. Mark’s Church, 54 Kuhn Road, Rochester 14612 in his memory.


•Marianetti, Edward T., of Greece died August 2, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He most recently served as the Executive Director of the Monroe County Water Authority, Commissioner of Public Works for the Town of Greece, Chairman and Town Leader of the Greece Republican Party and Highway Superintendent for the Town of Ogden. Edward was named Public Works Leader of the Year in 2009.

Edward was predeceased by his parents, Dominic G. and Ida A. (Ruscitti) Marianetti. He is survived by Lorraine (Barricelli) Marianetti; children Lisa Marie (Josh) Eagan of Hamburg, Brian Edward Marianetti, Esq.; grandchildren, Makayla Grace Eagan, Jacob Edward Eagan; siblings, David (Susan) Marianetti, Donna Marianetti, Esq. (husband, Joseph T. Tallarida II) of Las Vegas, Nevada; niece, Lauren Ashley Marianetti; nephew, Alex David Marianetti; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated August 6 at St. Lawrence Church, Greece. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations can be made to the James P. HILTON

•Harter, Phyllis A. (Fox), July 28, 2010, at age 72. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Richard L. Harter; children, Debra (Roger) Weicht, Judy (Howard) Newton, Donald (June) Harter; siblings, Louise (Thomas) Palmer, Larry (Pauline) Fox; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

•Surridge, George R. Sr., August 1, 2010 age 91. Predeceased by his wife, Peggy, 2002. Survived by his children, Sandra (Charlie) Griscavage, George Jr. (Beverly), Elmore (Veronica), William (Janet) Surridge; six grandchildren.

HOLLEY

•Davis, Goldie M., died July 31, 2010, at the age of 66. Predeceased by her parents; siblings Phalla, Golden and French. She is survived by her daughter, Jerri Lynn (Rocky) Maxwell; siblings Betty Jean Davis, Della Wilson and Genny Hoy.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the Arc of Orleans in her memory.


KENDALL

•Doyle, Muriel J., on August 1, 2010 at age 93. Predeceased by her husband David J. Doyle in 2004. She is survived by a host of good friends. Born in Clinton, New York, Muriel was a resident of Kendall for almost 60 years. Muriel was a long time member of the Order of Eastern Star and Kendall Methodist Church. She belonged to a Bridge Club and continued to play each month.

•Dart, Nancy J., August 3, 2010, at age 74. Nancy was predeceased by her children, Kathleen Ellen and Donald Philip. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roger and children, Douglas (Mary) Dart, Rebecca (John) Romero and Brian (Jillian) Dart; grandchildren, John David Romero, Billy Draper and Paula Faulkner and great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Ian and Kenny Faulkner.

•Anderson, Ruth I., Williamsville, New York, formerly of Spencerport died July 27, 2010 at age 98. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Harold H. Anderson. She is survived by her children, Richard Anderson, Jay (Shaaron) Anderson and Ruth Ann (Robert) Link; her grandchildren, Jimmy and Catherine Anderson, Heather and Jeffrey Link; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held July 31 at Walker Brothers Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.


•Bush, Aaron M. “Bushy,” July 27, 2010 at the age of 44. He is survived by his beloved wife and soul mate, Karen L. (Harrigan) Bush; his beloved sons, Matthew James and Joshua Ryan Bush; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Linda Harrigan; brother and sisters-in-law, Ron (Amber) Stackhouse, Brenda (Marty) Plotz, Sheri (Jim) Hershey; his grandmother Bonnie Bush; several nieces and nephews; also survived by his parents, Kenneth and Elsie Bush; siblings, Wayne, Cheri, Susan and Amber. Before Aaron’s cancer diagnosis, he worked at Leibeck Farms for his longtime friend Chris Leibeck.

•Gibbs, Ryan R., July 30, 2010. Survived by his parents, Carl and Candace Gibbs; siblings, Lisa, Justin and Benjamin; grandmothers, Catherine Gibbs and Mary Steele; several nieces and one nephew.

•Melia, Justin S., July 29, 2010 at age 20. Predeceased by uncle, Scott Trainor and cousin, Danielle Morey. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Kathleen Melia; sister, Moriah Trainor; brother, Michael Melia, Jr.; grandparents, Ronald and Shirley Melia, Charles and Patricia Allen; great-grandmother, Lillian Levinson; aunts and uncles, Lisa (David) Morey, Joann Hills, Corinne Trainor (Sondra) Todd (Hope) Trainor, Craig Trainor; cousins; many friends.

His Funeral Mass was said August 2 at St. Pius Tenth Church, Chili.


•Schild, Jean Doris, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Spencerport, died July 27, 2010 at age 84. Jean is predeceased by her husbands, William Gough and Robert Schild. Jean is survived by her sons, James R. Gough of Phoenix, Arizona and Robert W. Gough of Webster; grandchildren, Aaron Gough, Emily Gough, Nathan Gough; sisters-in-law, Betty Vogle of Richmond, Virginia, Margaret Gough of Wilmington, North Carolina; brother-in-law, Theodore Vogle of Richmond, Virginia. Jean taught third grade at Rochester School Number 37. She was married to William V. Gough in June of 1949. They made their home in Spencerport where they raised their two sons, James and Robert. After William’s passing in 1985, Jean continued to live in Spencerport, spending winters in Naples, Florida. She married Robert J. Schild in 1990 and they continued to divide their time between Spencerport and Naples until Robert’s passing in 2008. Jean then moved to Mesa, Arizona where she lived until her passing.

Funeral Services were held August 2 at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, Inc., Spencerport. Interment, St. John’s Cemetery, Spencerport.
