•Preston, Charles F. “Red,” On August 13, 2010 surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents and brother Robert. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Ileen; children Gary (Linda), Rick (Pat), Char (T) Bektas; grandchildren Lisa, Mark, Scott, Shawn, Kyle, Jeni and Faith; five great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held August 16 at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc., Brockport. Interment, Lake View Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Lifetime Care Hospice of Lifetime Assistance in his memory.


•Scarlata, Timy W., Jr., Suddenly, August 12, 2010 at age 21. Predeceased by his grandfather, William F. Anson. He is survived by his parents, Timy and Cathy Scarlata; grandparents, Salvatore (Josephine) Scarlata and June Anson; brothers and sister, Salvatore (Crystal Mercer) Scarlata, Steven Scarlata, William Scarlata and Nicole Scarlata; nieces, Jordan and Naliyah; nephew, Joe; aunts and uncles, Beth (Mike Severn) Anson, Larry (Carol) Anson and Ken Anson; Kathy (Doug) Frank, Laura Cimino, Paul “Uncle Pauly” Malarz; cousins, Tyler, Ashley, Korrina, Nikole, Brandon, Justin, Marisa and Corey; many friends.

Graveside Services were held August 19 at Lakeview Cemetery, Brockport.


CHURCHVILLE

•Bobzin, Sandra J., August 15, 2010 at age 58. Sandra was predeceased by her parents, Ronald and Mary Bobzin; siblings, Carol Gage and Ronnie Bobzin. She is survived by children, Jeffrey (Misty) Bobzin and Joelle Bobzin; sister, Joan (Arthur) Golding; brother-in-law, Allan Gage; grandchildren Eric and Alyssa Bobzin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private interment. Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 22312, Rochester in her memory.


CLARENDON

•Siplo, Jackie D. (Marquart), age 54, died August 14, 2010. She lives on through her daughters, Nikki Lynn (12), Jenny Rae (19); her loving husband, David; brothers, Dan (Marty) Marquart, Scott (Becky Rath) Marquart and several nieces, nephews, cousins.

A Celebration of Life Party in Jackie’s memory was held August 19. Donations can be made to the charity of one’s choice in her memory.


HAMLIN

•Kaiser, Milton J. (Kaiser Lumber), 88 years old, died August 13, 2010. He is survived by family and friends.

There will be a military graveside service on Monday, August 23 at 11 a.m. at the Lakeside Cemetery, Moscow Road, Hamlin, where Milt will lay beside his beloved first wife, Irma. Donations can be made to the Lakeside Foundation, 156 West Avenue, Brockport, NY 14420, LBCC Staff Fund in his memory.


•Malek, Edward A., On August 12, 2010 following a short battle with leukemia; born on August 15, 1951 in Rochester. He is predeceased by his father, Anthony L. Malek. Survived by mother, Helen of Avon Lake, Ohio; sister, Antonia Spector of Ohio; brother, Anthony Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; nieces, Carrie and Elysha; nephew, Samuel. He resided at the Lifetime Assistance Home in Hamlin for over 21 years and attended the Lowry Center.

A Memorial Service was held August 17 in Hamlin. Donations can be made to Lifetime Assistance Foundation, 425 Paul Road, Rochester 14624 in his memory.


•Urban, Robert F. “Bob,” Suddenly on August 14, 2010 at the age of 47. He is survived by his loving wife Debra; children Kailee, Tristan and Kyle; parents Sandy and Robert Urban; sisters Dawn, Becky and Jennifer; brother Matthew; father-in-law and mother-in-law Pete and Gerri Hanko; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Tina (Mark) Maynard, Beverly (Josh) Mancuso, Scott (Tracey) Hanko; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob was the Service Manager at Northside Service Center in Brockport.

Funeral Services were held August 21 at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc., Brockport. Contributions can be made to the children’s college fund in c/o Debra Urban in his memory.

•Avery, Ronald S., August 15, 2010, age 51. He is survived by his children, Kyle, Jason, Kellie, Eric and Thomas; his parents, Jerome and Catherine Avery; his brothers, Michael, Mark (Cindy), Kevin (Lisa) and Jerry (Cindi) Avery; his sisters, Karen (George) Palumbo and Marilyn (Randy) Kaforey; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A Celebration of Ron’s Life was held August 19 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Hilton. Contributions can be made to School of the Holy Childhood or National Multiple Sclerosis Society in his memory.


•Valyear, Phillis M., August 8, 2010 at age 74. Predeceased by her daughter, Karen. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Errol Valyear; loving children, Teresa (Robert) Cook, Wanda (Mike) Mooney, Gary (Janet) MacKenzie, Dorothy (Ronnie) Patton, Laurie Pecora and Lynne Valyear; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister; six brothers; beloved pet, Pookeybear; many other relatives and friends.

•Rockow, Carl F., 82, August 16, 2010. Born in Hamlin to Charlie and Minnie Rockow, he was a lifetime resident of this area. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Retiree of NYSDOT in Ogden. Predeceased by wife Ruth in 2007. Survived by son, Terry (Deborah) Rockow of Morton; granddaughter, Amanda (Ben) Cooper of Kendall; sister, Wilma Rockow of Hamlin.

Funeral Services were held August 21 at Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Holley. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery with military honors. Contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.


NORTH CHILI

•McCoy, Frank Jr., On August 10, 2010 at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia (Lynch) McCoy; his children Terry (Sue) McCoy, Sheryl (David) Carroll, Carol Anne Rizkallah; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers; one sister; many nieces and nephews.

•LeTouzel, Kingsley Andrew, August 14, 2010, age 67. Predeceased by his mother, Florence M. Komrow; father, Kingsley Rabey LeTouzel; and brother, Robert E. Yantz. Survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Linda; daughter and son-in-law, Kristin Mary McCarty-White and Lonnie White; and his pride and joy, his caring grandson who loved his “Grumpy,” Noah Andrew McCarty; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Audrey LeTouzel; and granddaughters, Sydney and Paige of Kapolei, Hawaii; sister and companion, Katherine Albert and Martin Schuster of Stone Ridge, New York; sister-in-law, Beverly Yantz; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marlene and Richard Bucci of Dexter, Margaret and Thomas DeMarse of Lake Stevens, Washington; several nieces and nephews.

•Moss, Donald W., Sr., August 11, 2010. Predeceased by his son, Kevin, sister Jean Mendolera and brother Charles. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ann; children, John, Timothy, Michael, Maureen, Steven (Kris), Donald Jr. (Chris), Terrance and Kathleen (Angelo) Palmerini; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly (Raymond) Prutz and Rose Reed; brothers, Olin (Maureen) and Gerald (Joyce); several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held August 16 at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home, Chili. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.


SPENCERPORT

•Crafts, Ellen H. (Hawley), August 9, 2010 at age 68. She is survived by her beloved husband Marshall Crafts; children, Jeffery Crafts, Mark (Dawn) Crafts; grandchildren, Cory, Evan and Matthew. Ellen worked for the Spencerport School District and was a member of the Spencerport United Methodist Church.

Services were held at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made to the Spencerport United Methodist Church, 32 Amity Street, Spencerport, NY 14559 in her memory.


•Ibrahim-Estefanoos, Antoinette A., August 17, 2010 at age 84. She was the daughter of the late Heguman Antonios Ibrahim of the City of Mehalla, Egypt; predeceased by her husband of 57 years Ramzi H. Estefanoos. She is survived by her children, Mary (Nashaat) Wasfi, Michael (Jessie) Stefanos, George (Tatsiana) Stefanos and Antonios Stefanos; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

•Kohler, Richard F., Sr. “Dick,” August 14, 2010, surrounded by his family. Dick was predeceased by his parents, Julius and Emma; siblings, Marge, George, Edward and James. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen; son, Richard (Maureen); sister, Delores Trilikaukas; sisters-in-law, Joan (Bob) Singer, Lillian (Harlan) Hilton; brothers-in-law, Dick Winn, Ken Winn; several special nieces and nephews. Dick was a veteran of WWII with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He retired from the Gannett Newspaper with 37 years of service.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated August 19 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Entombment at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford 14534. Donations can be made to the Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance, 116 Lyell Avenue, Spencerport, NY 14559 in his memory.
