•Sackett, Dewey, "Skip," September 24, 2008, age 84. Husband of the late Mary Tomsett Sackett; father of Gerald (Martha) Sackett of Texas and Barbara (Frank) Bates of Bergen; brother of Ralph Sackett of Maine; grandfather of Joseph (Jessie) Sackett, Becky (David) Pellerin, John Sackett, Jennifer (Chris) Wolfe and Michelle (Robert) Wolfe; great-grandfather of Stephanie, Andrew and Nathan Wolfe, Emma Rose Wolfe and Jamie Sackett.

A Funeral Mass was said September 27 at St. Brigid's Church, Bergen. Interment, Mt. Rest Cemetery. Contributions can be made to NYS Veteran's Home, 220 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY 14020 in his memory.


BROCKPORT

•Mercer, James Larry, died peacefully September 30, 2008 at age 71. Born March 25, 1937, he grew up and lived most of his life in Hamlin. Jim worked for Eastman Kodak Company until his retirement in 1986. He was a bus driver for the Brockport School District. He taught many people how to ski throughout his lifetime, with over 30 years instructing at Swain Ski Resort, which earned him the honorary title 'The Mayor of Swain." He is predeceased by his parents, Perry Thomas Mercer and Julia (Cotter); his brothers, Donald, Perry II, Robert and his sister, Eunice. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Farrell); sons, James of California, Perry III (Gina); daughter, Dawn (Patrick) Didas; grandchildren, Jordan and Justin Mercer; Cody and Chelsea Didas; sister, Helen Fairand of Ithaca; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Interment will be held privately with the immediate family. Donations can be made to the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center Office of Development in his memory.


BYRON

•Chapell, June Ann, September 29, 2008 age 54. Sister of Joyce Chapell of Florida, Jo Ann (Michael) Laney of Alexander and Terry (Vivian) Chapell of Byron; sister-in-law of John Ullum of Texas; aunt of Tom (Aimee) Chapell of Byron, John (LoriDawn) Ullum of California, Cheryl (Chad) Huhn of Byron, Jeremy Ullum of Texas, Christina (Kevin) Saizlen of Florida and Jennifer (Keith) Brooks of Georgia; great aunt of Garrett Chapell, Quinn Chapell and Grace Huhn, all of Byron.

•Bertolone, John J. September 25, 2008. After a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Josephine and father-in-law, Thomas J. Wolfe. Survived by his wife, Laura; children John M., Steven and Erica; brothers, Vincent (Josephine), Anthony (Lynda), Salvatore (Hong), Joseph, Frank (Kathy); sister, JoAnn Brickler; mothers-in-law, Rose A. (William) Bell, Patty Wolfe; sister-in-law, Cynthia Wolfe; several nieces and nephews.

HAMLIN

•Breslawski, Charles Sr., On September 27, 2008, at the age of 88. Predeceased by his wife Ruth Marie and sister Mary. He is survived by his sons, Charles Jr., Robert (Karen Anne), Ron (Vicki); six grandchildren, Robert S. (Canny), Jessica Marie, Brittny Anne, Richard John, Andrew Charles, and Edward Ronald; brothers Nick, Dan (Nancy), Thomas (Carol); sisters, Stella (Jim) Lewis, Anne (Bob) Hermance; brothers-in-law, Richard (Billie) Blind, Charles Jenkins; sister-in-law Evelyn (Sam) DeLuca; many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was said September 30 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church or a charity of one's choice in his memory.


HOLLEY

•Cole, Daniel Riley, II, died at the age of 55, September 26, 2008, after a brief illness. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years Penny (Kittle) Cole; his loving children, Heather (Steven) Kelley, Daniel (Laura Ritchie) Cole, Matthew Cole, all of Holley; brother, Michael Cole of Naples, Florida; brothers-in-law, David Kittle of Gates, Jason Share of Bradenton, Florida; sisters-in-law, Lisa DeMauro and Stacy Forehand, both of Bradenton, Florida; aunts, Audrey Cole, Carol Cole, Barbara Gaylord; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends, especially the coffee club. Dan worked for Window Depot, USA where he was in sales. He was currently in his 16th year of service on the Monroe 2 BOCES Board of Education where he served as President for eight consecutive years. Prior to that he served on the Holley Board of Education from 1986-1992. Dan was an accomplished drummer playing for Julie Dunlop, Josie Waverly, JB and Company. He was also a former member of the Holley Rotary Club and the Holley Fire Co.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said October 1 at St. Mary's R.C. Church. Interment, Hillside Cemetery. Contributions in his memory can be made to the family for Matthew's education.


NORTH CHILI

•Brighton, Mary E., September 25, 2008. Survived by several cousins.

A Funeral Mass was said September 29 at St. Theodore's Church. Interment, private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.


•Marsh, Margie J., September 24, 2008. Survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Edward; children, Maria (Glenn) Strader, Michele (Patrick) Balcom, Kathleen Lentine, Edward K. (Amy) Marsh; grandchildren, Paul Lentine, Joshua and Nicole Strader and Patrick Marsh; brother Eugene (Marie) Valerio; several nieces and nephews.

SPENCERPORT

•Kleisle, William C. "PoorBilly," September 26, 2008, at age 75. He was predeceased by his son James; his parents, Elmo and Lillian Kleisle; his brother James. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Rose (Lincoln) Kleisle; his children, Cynthia (Kevin) Sanger, William J. (Cynthia) Kleisle, Diane (Greg) Utter and Daniel Kleisle; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was a Navy veteran; a retiree of Eastman Kodak Co., a member of G.W.R.R.A. and was a charter member of Chapter "W."

A Funeral Mass was said September 29 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, St. John's Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Visiting Nurse Service Hospice or American Cancer Society in his memory.


•King, Virginia W. E., September 29, 2008 at age 93. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald L. King and her grandson, Christopher Morris. She is survived by her children, William (Irma) Morris of Mechanicville; Patricia A. Morris of Rochester and Charlotte "Kay" (Gary) Buehler of Pultneyville; her 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Virginia was a former member of Gates Alliance Church and a former employee of Eastman Kodak Co.

A Memorial Service was held October 4 at Pultneyville Reformed Church, 7784 Hamilton Street, (P.O. Box 94) Williamson, NY 14589 where contributions can be made in her memory. Interment in Fairfield Cemetery.
