•Anderson, Beatrice R., On October 1, 2008. Predeceased by her husband, Neil, and brother, John Radloff. She is survived by her daughters Gail and Joni; son Scot (Kim); grandchildren Jeff, Katie, Kyle and Aaron; sister-in-law Alice Radloff; brother-in-law, Dale (Betty) Anderson.

There was an informal gathering of family and friends October 4. Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.


HILTON

•Bishop, Alfred F., Suddenly, October 6, 2008, age 75. Survived by his wife, Flora (Millar) Bishop; his children, Lynn (Tom) Oertel, Eric (Cherie) Bishop, Mary (Chuck) Partridge, Lisa (Mark) Dowdell, John (Mitz) Bishop, Kurt (Cathy) Bishop; his grandchildren Elizabeth, Andrew and Katherine Oertel, Christopher and Danielle Bishop, Emily and Jessica Partridge, Luke, John and Sean Dowdell, Lilly and Anna Bishop, Kyle, Jacob and Leah Bishop; brother, Gilbert; nieces, nephews and special hunting friends, as well as his beloved dog "Rusty." Al was a Korean War Vet and a retired member of IBEW Local #86.

A Funeral Mass was said October 10 at St. Leo Church, Hilton. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. Leo's Building Fund in his memory.


•Gordon, Lynn Asa, Suddenly, October 2, 2008, age 71. Survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Helen Morlock Gordon; daughters Karen, Mary and Anna; brothers, Ron, Dick and Doug; sister, Carol; many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lynn was an Air Force veteran, graduated from Cortland State and was a retired physical education teacher and coach from East Rochester Schools.

Lynn has donated his body to the University of Rochester Medical School. A family gathering will be held to honor him. Donations in his memory can be made to Hilton Ambulance/Fire Department, 135 South Avenue, Hilton, NY 14468.


•Ladd, Janice M. (Nudo), Died October 1, 2008. Janice was predeceased by her parents Rose and Harold Nudo. She is survived by her husband Gary Ladd; chil-dren, Gary V. Ladd and Shelly Ladd; step-son, Adam Fields; granddaughter, Leigha Brugger Fields; mother-in-law, Loretta Ladd; sister and brother, Marlene (Kevan) Bryant and Peter (Dawn) Nudo; extended family, Tim Rauber, Jason Drummey, Sarah Zukoski, Ashley Laney, Ben Wahl, and Jeff Polatas; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Funeral Services were held October 4 at Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home, Greece. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Road North, Rochester 14609 in her memory.


•McNair, Arthur S. Jr., Suddenly, October 6, 2008, age 73. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann, 2002 and his granddaughter, Nicole Mensing. Survived by his children, Mike McNair, Lori (Dave) Mensing, Scott (Julie) McNair and Craig (Holly) McNair; his grand-children, Justin, Jeremy, Joshua, Scot, Corey, Tyler and Ryan; his brother Kenneth (Sophie) McNair; mother-in-law, Marguerite Yantz; nieces, nephews and many friends.

A Funeral Service was held October 11 at Hilton Baptist Church. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Give Kids the World, 210 South Bass Road, Kissimmee, Florida 34746 or Parma-Hilton Historical Society in his memory.


•Solodoff, David, October 3, 2008. Predeceased by parents, Morris and Mary Solodoff; sister, Faye Samarel and brother, Oscar Solodoff. Survived by longtime companion, Carolyn Mraz; daughter, Ellyn (Shelly) Steinberg; son, Stephen Solodoff; sister, Irene Solodoff; grandchildren, Sarena and Shaya Solodoff and Kevin Dwyer; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services and interment were held October 7 in Delray Beach, Florida. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice in his memory.


HOLLEY

•Lutz, Richard W. Jr., Formerly of Lancaster, Pennsylvania died September 28, 2008, at age 61. Survived by the love of his life, wife Kathy (Papaleo) Lutz; daughters, Jodi (Tim) Bird, Katie (Roy Wagner) Apton; step-sons Steven (Andrea) Shadders, Michael (Lynn) Shadders; sister Linda (Larry) Leed; cousin, Dawn Rothfus; brother-in-law, Vincent (Pam) Papaleo; sisters-in-law Madeline (Larry) Woodruff, Rebecca Papaleo, Darlene (Chris) Maimone, Mary Ellen (Abe Morrell) Papaleo; mother-in-law Dorothy Payd; special nieces, Gina Emler and Sam Woodruff; and seven grandchildren. Special friends "KittyBoy," Ric Papaleo, Rick and Helen Bentley, Marcia Palermo, Emler family, Ron and Betty Bennett, Smitty and Charlott Smith, Bill Olles.

A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Chapel, 2407 Union Street, Spencerport (Route 259) on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 4 p.m.


OGDEN

•Shewan, Nancy Ann (Enterline), Lost her courageous battle against lung cancer on October 6, 2008. She was 75 years old. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert "Bob"; their three sons, Scott (Celsa), Paul (Joy) and Stephen (Ruth); four grandchildren Emily (Joshua) Britton, David, Aaron and Lydia Shewan; and step-grandson, Andre Bush; and his daughter, Sophia Bush. Nancy taught music at Crane Elementary School in Rush-Henrietta and was a member of Pearce Memorial Free Methodist Church, North Chili.

A Memorial Service was held October 9 at Pearce Memorial Church, North Chili. Contributions can be made to Dr. Russ (Beth) White, a Missionary Surgeon in Tenwek, Kenya, c/o World Gospel Mission, P.O. Box 948, Marion, Indiana 46952 or to Pluta Cancer Center, 125 Red Creek Drive, Rochester, NY 14623 in her memory.


SPENCERPORT

•Popoli, Jane C., died October 3, 2008, at age 84. Jane was the daughter of Arthur and Catherine Clark (deceased). She was predeceased by her loving husband, Fran and her sister, Margaret Shelton. Jane was an in-credibly strong and faithful woman, having raised six young children by herself after her husband died. She is survived by those children Carol (Mark) Warner of Spencerport, David (Shirley) Popoli of Homer, Barbara (Mark) Tschiegg of Granby, Connecticut, Mary (Patrick) Smith of Hilton, Nancy (Don) Payne of Barrington, Illinois and Patti (Emilio) DiLorenzo of Spencerport. 13 cherished grandchildren and one great-granddaughter Eric (Jill) Warner, Sara (Jeff) Fay, Jared Popoli, Elizabeth "Betsy" Hendrix, Matthew, David, Laura Tschiegg, Alexandria, Taylor, Jordan Smith, Hanna, Nicholas, Olivia DiLorenzo and great granddaughter Emily Elizabeth Hendrix. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Murphy; her brother, Arthur Clark; many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was said October 10 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, St. John Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph in her memory.
