BROCKPORT

•Frank, Agnes M., (Fromm, Bauer), October 10, 2010 at the age of 83. She is survived by Mary Frank, Noel Frank, John Bauer; multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held October 15 at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hamlin. Contributions can be made to Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church or the American Heart Association in her memory.


•Horton, Janet Marie (Kelso) of Battle Creek, Michigan, formerly of Brockport, born March 17, 1934 in Hamlin, to Martin and Wilamenia Kelso, died October 1, 2010 after a hard fought battle with cancer at the age of 76. She leaves behind four children: Kathleen (Steven) Witkowski Millard, Stephen Burton Horton, Clifford David (Lynn) Horton and Judith Ann Weekes. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, October 29 at Lakeshore Community Church, 3651 Latta Road, Rochester. Contributions can be made to the Brain Tumor Research Fund, University of Michigan Department of Neurology, 1914 Taubman Center, Ann Arber, Michigan 48109 in her memory.


•Kwiatkowski, Henry A., October 11, 2010 at the age of 92. Predeceased by his first wife Elynor. Survived by his loving wife Mary Anne; his son Thomas Sr. (Cathy); grandson Thomas Jr. (Pat); many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Henry was a Navy Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific Theater aboard the USS Ticonderoga. He was a member of the Polish Falcons Nest 52 and a Silver Legion of Honor member, the PAC Club, Echo Club, and the Melvin Michalski Post 1328 and a retiree of Wollensock.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said October 15 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Rochester. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Hospice at Lakeside Memorial Hospital, Brockport in his memory.


•Sentiff, Christine V. (Van Dyke), age 93, died October 8, 2010 at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center. Born on July 17, 1917 in Utica, New York. She married Dr. Robert Root, a journalism professor at Syracuse University, in 1962. He died in 1970. In 1972 she married Harry J. Sentiff and moved to Brockport where she became involved in many civic organizations. She was a member of Fig Twig, a long-time volunteer at the Cupola Nursing Home and later at the Lakeside Hospital gift shop. Christine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brockport, and also on the Board of the Rochester Presbyterian Home. She was active at Seymour Library where she was president of its Board. She served on the library site location and fund-raising committees when the present building was being constructed. She was founder of the Friends of the Library and a weekly volunteer there for many years. Survivors include her nieces, Judith Borger of Parkersburg, West Virginia and Susan Morris of Cleverdale, New York and several great and great great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held October 13 at the First Presbyterian Church, Brockport. Contributions can be made to Seymour Library or the First Presbyterian Church of Brockport in her memory.


•Wagner, Donald P., October 12, 2010 at age 84. Predeceased by his wife, Sheila. He is survived by his children, John (Beth), Philip (Jim) and Richard (Laura); and grandchildren, Calvin, Nathan, Grace and Eli. Donald was an Army Veteran.

Services were held October 16. Contributions can be made to Pines of Peace Comfort Home, 2378 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519 in his memory.


CHILI

•Andre, Genevieve C., October 8, 2010, age 86. Survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Richard; children, Marcia (Charles) Havens, Denise (Daphne) White; grandchildren, Sarah (Douglas) Cox, Samuel (Holly) Havens, Vanessa White; two great-grandchildren, Graham Cox, Ramone Christian; loving sister, Margaret Christiansen; several nieces and nephews. Genevieve was a member of St. Christopher’s Golden Agers and the Chili Fitness Center.

A Memorial Mass was said October 16 at White Haven Memorial Park Chapel, Pittsford. Contributions can be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 in her memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Kurycki, Maria Colette (Kiereck), October 5, 2010 at the age of 53. A wife, mother, daughter, sister, RN/EMT, lover of horses and the mountains. She was predeceased by her father Edward Frank Kiereck. Maria is survived byher husband James Kurycki; her sons, John and Michael Kurycki and Shawn (Sara-Jo) Elliott; her mother, Maggie Sue Kiereck; sisters, Mary Rita (Robert) Kurycki, Deborah Sunbeck and Veronica Kiereck; brothers, Joseph (Marcy), Thomas, John (Peggy) and James Kiereck; many nieces and nephews, cousins and so many dear friends associated with School Nursing, the EMT and Fire Services community and blessed with her loving friends at Camp Good Days and Special Times.

•Gliszczynski, Michael J., October 11, 2010, age 63. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Liz; children, Beverly Gliszczynski; son, Sean (Christine) Davison; granddaughter, Bethani; brother, Anthony (Barbara) Gliszczynski; sisters, Barbara Robinson, Jeanie Thompson and Christine Refermat; many nieces, nephews and special “framily.” Mike is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Regina Gliszczynski; and his daughter, DeAnna.

A Memorial Service was held October 16 at the Hilton United Methodist Church.


•Kremer, Marjorie J. (Hand), October 8, 2010, age 86. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph, 1988. Survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Richard) Kozlowski, Laura Kremer (Gail Dickinson), Pamela (Harry) Thorpe, Kathleen Kremer Matula; sister-in-law, Jean Hand; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Slowe and brothers, Francis and John Hand.

A Memorial Service was held October 11 at Journey Christian Church, Rochester. Private interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute to American Cancer Society in her memory.


•Nastasi, Donald, October 6, 2010. Predeceased by his wife, Dona; parents, Dominic and Stella Nastasi; sister, Mary Ann Malboeuf; daughter, Kathy Nastasi. Survived by his children, Tabby Campbell, Stacy (Bobby) Steinmetz, Eric (Rachel) Steinmetz, Lisa (Joe) Ramono, Erin (Shaheen) Hicks, Ricky (Leslie) Steinmetz, Tim (Jeanie) Eckert, Patrick Steinmetz, John (Ada) Nastasi, Carolyn (Michael) Fame, Cheryl (Jeffery) Vogt; his best friends, Dorothy (Andy) Shubert; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Patrick (Jan), Randy (Joanne), Jimmy Kenyon.

•Brien, Patricia A. (Hayes) “Ma Brien,” Age 66, unexpectedly October 8, 2010. Predeceased by son Michael. Survived by companion of 31 years Hank Bailey; children Diana (John) Sheedy of Rochester, Robert (Lori) of Medina, Ken (Diane) of Holley, Cheryl Shaw of Holley, James (Carrie) of Rochester; 11 grandchildren; brothers Jack (Renee) Erve of Florida, Tom (Brenda Dutton) Hayes of Byron; sister Judy Hayes of Oakfield; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

KENDALL

•Meiers, Lester “Pop” “Pee Wee,” of Asheboro, North Carolina, formerly of Kendall, age 75, died October 10, 2010 at Hospice House of Davidson County, Lexington, North Carolina. He was born and raised in a farming family in Kendall and was the 12th of 13 children. Remaining are one brother Harold and wife Carol from Loveland, Colorado, sister-in-law Carol Meiers from Asheboro, North Carolina, and brother-in-law Bill Diedrich from Pennsylvania as well as several nieces and nephews. Survivors are Margie, his wife of 50 years; daughter Lori Dixon and her son Matthew of Asheboro, North Carolina; son Kenny Meiers and wife Robin and their daughter Sarah of Wilmington, North Carolina; son David Meiers and wife Janet and their daughter Gloria of Charlotte, North Carolina. Les worked at General Electric/Black and Decker for 40 years - first in Brockport and then in Asheboro, North Carolina after transferring in 1972. Les was an avid runner, and logged over 20,000 miles. He ran in several marathons, including qualifying for, and running in, the Boston Marathon.

NORTH CHILI

•Mattern, John Stewart, October 7, 2010. Survived by his loving wife, Rosemary (Sprague) Mattern; children, Sarah (Martin) Michaels of North Chili and Daniel Mattern of Kabul, Afghanistan; granddaughters, Ashley (Ryan) Michaels and Shannon Michaels; nephew, William (Faythe) Mattern; niece, Susan (Dick) Bergerin; many nieces and nephews. John was a veteran of WWII, serving in the 86th infantry in France, Germany and the Philippines. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Michigan. For 40 years, John was the owner and operator of Frost Ridge Ski Area and Campground in LeRoy, New York. He was a Boy Scout Leader and 50 year member of the Unity Masonic Lodge #479, Spencerport.

OGDEN

•Beldue, Joan R., Died peacefully surrounded by her family on October 7, 2010 at age 69. Predeceased by her first husband, Wayne Rising; her son, Dennis Rising; sister, Barbara Reilley Darrow; and brother, Gerald Reilley. Survived by her loving husband, George Beldue; her daughter, Lisa (Bill) Reilley Patchen; grandson, Daniel (Rachel) Patchen; sister, Marie McClelland; brother, Ronald (Deb) Reilley; stepchildren Michael (Jennifer) Beldue and Cheryl (David) Belcher and their children, Ethan and Damon Belcher.

A Memorial Mass was said October 16 at Holy Ghost Church. Memorial donations can be made to the family in care of George Beldue.


SPENCERPORT

•Fuller, David G., of The Villages, Florida, 65, died October 10, 2010. (formerly of Spencerport). Survived by his wife of 30 years Karen I. Fuller; son, Todd, step-son, Jason (Cheryl) Cady; step-daughter Marcy (Patrick) Laber; four grandchildren, Gavin and Logan Cady, Aiden and Maya Laber as well as many dear family and friends. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and two time Purple Heart Recipient. David retired as a Production Chemist at Eastman Kodak Company after 25 years.

A Memorial Service will be held at the South Byron United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 30 at 2 p.m. with reception following.


•Guerinot, Margaret, September 30, 2010 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband Francis Guerinot and her son, William Guerinot. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Larry) Wilson and Mary (Frank) Benedict of Maryland; daughter-in-law, Marlene Guerinot of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass was celebrated October 16 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment will be held privately. Contributions can be made to Lifetime Care Hospice, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623 in her memory.
