•Johnson, Romaine R., Died October 25, 2009, age 73. He was retired from Xerox Corp in 1994. Husband of Alice Jean Johnson of Bergen; father of Dale (Heather) Johnson of Ashburn, Virginia and Shawn (Diane) Johnson of Suwanee, Georgia; brother of Roger (Pat) Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona; brother-in-law of Joan Johnson of Henrietta; grandfather of four grandchildren and is survived by a large extended family including his aunt and childhood guardian, Alma Bossard of Newfield, New York.

Private Services were held. Contributions can be made to American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Parkway West, Amherst, NY 14228 in his memory.


BROCKPORT

•Emmerson, Harold “Harry,” Died suddenly October 23, 2009 in Indianapolis, Indiana. A Professor Emeritus at SUNY Brockport, he is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Norma; six children, David, Thomas (Karen), Bruce (Deborah), Jeff (Lisa), Carol Clark (James), Robert (Darla); 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Norman (Marguarite), Glen (Ethel).

A Memorial Service was held October 29 at First Presbyterian Church, Brockport. Interment at convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to Lakeside Foundation, Lakeside Memorial Hospital, 156 West Avenue, Brockport, NY 14420 in his memory.


•Maxwell, Mary, age 77, October 22, 2009. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Tracy) Smith of Clarendon; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia (James) Weirech of Florida. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence and daughter Linda Mathis.

A Memorial Service was held October 24 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Holley. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Landing’s Recreation Department in her memory.


HAMLIN

•Kelso, Jean E., age 83, October 16, 2009. She is survived by her son, Bob Kelso; sister, Janet Horton; and good friends, Dale and Retha Tyo. She was predeceased by her brother, Herb.

A Graveside Service was held October 31 at Lakeside Cemetery, Hamlin. Donations can be made to the Hamlin Ambulance Fund in her memory.


HILTON

•Allen, Jr., Arthur L., age 86, October 27, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bernice (Streb) Allen; their children, Leon (Joyce) Allen, Peter Allen, Jacquelyn (Gary) Davis, Andrea (Dave) Deaton, Christine (Art) Wheat; daughter-in-law, Kathy Allen; sister-in-law, Sr. Mary Andre; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his sons, Bob and Daniel and sister, Peggy Cook. Arthur was a 40 year retiree of Kodak, WWII Veteran and former member of the Genesee Yacht Club.

•Gravelle, Reema I., age 89, on October 22, 2009. Predeceased by her husband Albert. She is survived by her children Joseph (Cynthia Elkins) Gravelle, Jerilyn (James) Cobb, Janine (Andrew) Lee; grandchildren Teralyn (Jon) Strauss, Mark (Olivia) Gravelle, Joseph (Jessica Roberts) Gravelle, Marcie (Adam) Parcells, Derek Cobb, Stephanie, Kevin, Joseph Lee, Andrew IV (Valerie) Lee, great grandchildren, Allyson, Olivia, Sophia and Ella Strauss, Erin Lee, Addyson Gravelle, Noel and Mia Parcells.

•Klafehn, Esther M., age 91, October 26, 2009. Predeceased by her husband, Allen and her daughter, Diane. She leaves one grandson, Scott Avery; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services were held October 30 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment Parma Union Cemetery. Donations can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Organ Fund or the American Diabetes Association in her memory.


•Trout, Ann T. (Flood), October 20, 2009. Ann was born in Dublin, Ireland and immigrated to Rochester 20 years ago. Ann was the owner of Annie Murphy’s Fiddler’s Green Pub in Charlotte. Ann is survived by her husband, R. Stephen Trout; daughters, Danielle (Mel) Huertas, Karina Murphy (Brian Hudson); and grandson, Bobby Huertas; sister, Mary (Seymour) Siegal; brothers, Ben (Maeve) Mac An Tuile, all of Rochester and Terry (Diane) Flood of Texas.

•Hepler, Ida Dunham, 94, on October 27, 2009. Predeceased by her husband, Rev. Albert W. Hepler II. She was the Organist at the Disciples United Methodist Church of Holley, from which both she and her husband retired. She is survived by her children: Carolyn “Lynn” Ramsey of Brockport, Barbara (Gary) Stewart of Naples, Florida, Albert Walker Hepler II of Bountiful, Utah, Beverly Bottema of Grand Haven, Michigan, Janet (Nicholas) VanRyswyk of Coopersville, Michigan, Charles (Patti) Hepler of Holley, Raymond M. Pierson of Perry; 12 grandchildren: Mary Elizabeth (Bob) Marchese, Wendy Ramsey, Rebecca (Mac) Foster, Joseph Stewart, Bryan (Nicole) Hepler, Heather (Chad) Lord, Albert Walker (Sumana) Hepler IV, Rachel (Adam) Schwab, Lindsay (Rick) McAdams, Jonathan (Nicole) VanRyswyk, Christopher Varr, Sarah Hepler; seven great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Dorothea Dunham of Sun City Center, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Gordon Dunham, and a son-in-law, Donald Ramsey.

•Lembcke, Russell, On October 26, 2009, age 84. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, of 61 years; children Sandra (Dan) Bushey, Greg, Jeff (Darlene), Kim (Mike) Morich; grandchildren Jamie (Matt) Nicosia, Nichole (Matt) Wieczorek; brothers Delbert and Lloyd (Betty Lou).

A Memorial Service will be held at Walker Bible Baptist Church, 1425 Walker-Lake Ontario Road, Hilton on November 7, 2009 at 2 p.m.

•Dunn, Norman W., October 23, 2009 at age 91. He was predeceased by wife Doris. He is survived by son, Thomas (Denise) Dunn; daughter, Linda Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren Gena, Matthew, Zachary, Stephanie, and Courtney; great granddaughter, Mia; siblings, Norine and Eugene; several nieces and nephews.

SPENCERPORT

•Bartlett, Vicki L., Age 48, died in her sleep on September 28, 2009, in Ormond Beach, Florida. Formerly of Spencerport. Survived by son Steven Sepaniak; grandson Joshua Sepaniak of Hilton; mother Gail T. Bartlett; sister Tracey Bartlett and Kelly Aber of Ormond Beach, Florida; brother Mark Bartlett of Rochester; many loving family and friends.

Services were held October 24 at White Haven Cemetery in the All Seasons Chapel.


•Braun, Henry R. Sr., On October 22, 2009. He was predeceased by his wife, Ida; twin brother, Herbert; sister, Fern Knope and son, Henry Jr. He is survived by his daughter and caregiver, Jeannette (Roosevelt) King; many beloved grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Rachel) Braun; sister, Jeanette (Norbert) Stuart; very special persons to Henry, Edward Knapp and Michelle Braun.

•Dauvergne, Anne-Marie (Monroig-Valls) “Nanou,” October 22, 2009 at age 86. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Christinane Green; son-in-law, Ed Green. Anne is survived by son, Herve (Carol) Dauvergne; grandchildren, Jessica and Michael Dauvergne, Stephanie Cox; great-grandchild Morgan Cox; sister, Elvira Friedman.

•Janes, Dorothy W. (Whitmore), October 24, 2009, at age 90. She was predeceased by her husband Enos. Dorothy is survived by her children, Chuck Janes, Heather (Deborah) Janes; grandchildren, Sarah (Joshua) Homer, Brian Janes, Matthew Janes, Benjamin Janes; great-grandsons, Seth and Micah Homer; sisters, Beatrice Smith and Verna Tetz. Her teaching career started in Nunda, NY and she retired from Spencerport School District after 25 years of service. Dorothy spent the next 25 years volunteering with Parkridge Hospital Auxiliary. She was an active member of 60 years with the Greece Baptist Church.

A Memorial Service was held October 31 at Greece Baptist Church. Inurnment, Falls Cemetery. Donations can be made to Greece Baptist Church or The Greece Grange in her memory.


•Parise, Salvatore J. “Big Sal,” October 21, 2009. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Iris) Parise and Mark Parise; daughters, Darcelle (Andy) Derosia; two brothers; four sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were held October 26 at Metropolitan Funeral Chapels, Rochester. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.


•Resch, Jane F. (Fowler), October 26, 2009 at age 87. She was predeceased by her husband John F. Resch. She is survived by her children David (Janine) Resch and Linda (Ted) Rauber; her grandchildren, Rhonda (James) Battifarano, Andrew (Katherine) Resch, Kevin (Tiffany) Rauber and Daniel (Lorianne) Resch; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

•Robbins, Marjorie M., October 25, 2009, at age 85. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Geofry) Wandersee; sons, Stoyell “Eric” and Niel (LauraMay) Robbins both of Florida; grandchildren, Renee Berbeneciuc, Tia Wandersee and Jennifer (Joseph) Andrews; great-grandsons, Donovan and Brayden Berbeneciuc.
