AREA

•Eppenstein, Alfred Jr., died October 16, 2009 in Tampa, Florida. Predeceased by parents Martha and Alfred Eppenstein Sr., wives Peggy (Balogh) and Kitty (Monteleone). Survived by daughters Kathy (Robert Wiley) and Linda (Todd Walden); grandchildren Jason and Michael Wiley and Halie and Madison Walden, all living in Florida; sister Evelyn Krekic, of Hamlin; nieces and a nephew. Al was 77 years old, a Hilton High School graduate, U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Eastern Airlines as a Captain.


•Reed, Betty LeRoy, of Barstow, California; 87, formerly of Brockport and Hilton, died November 23, 2009 in Barstow, California. She was born on September 30, 1922 in Brockport, the daughter of Gladys and Peter LeRoy. Surviving Betty are her husband of 67 years, Vincent; her daughters Pamela Reed Sullivan and her husband Laurence of Orinda, California, and Vanessa Reed Cherry and her husband Arthur of Wichita Falls, Texas, and her grandson Phillip Reed Sullivan of Baltimore, Maryland.

She was buried November 27 at the National Cemetery in Riverside, California. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.


BROCKPORT

•Hamlin, Deborah A., On December 8, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Harry; her children Teresa (Peter) Leicht; Christopher (Lillian) Hamlin; five grandchildren, Haley Hamlin, Madison Leicht, Peter Leicht, Bryson Hamlin, Joshua Leicht; her parents Howard and Ruth Priestley; brothers and sisters James Priestley, Laurie Weir, Pam Camp; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held December 11 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Contributions can be made to the Brockport Fire Department in her memory.


•Smith, Marian E., On December 7, 2009 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her husband Henry C. Smith, son Joseph Boser, step-daughters Grace Auge, Ellinor Oney, brothers Gerald, Millard, Herbert, Linford, Ralph, Gordon Chapman, sister Gladys Canncey. She is survived by her sisters Vivian Ruggiero, Bonalyn Barney; brother Roderick Chapman; her niece Kayleen Beadle; step-daughters, Shirley (John) Zinter, Florence Reynolds and many other nieces and nephews, grand and great grandchildren.

Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice in her memory.


•Stalteri, Salvatore, December 6, 2009. Predeceased by his wife, Josephine (Sciacca). Survived by his sons, Vincent Stalteri, Salvatore (Sally) Stalteri; grandchildren, Danyelle (Jimmy), Deonna, Stephanie Alaina, JoAnna; great-granddaughters, Juliana and Angelina; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services were held December 9 at Falvo Funeral Home, Rochester. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.


BYRON

•Ivison, Beverly A., Suddenly, December 3, 2009, at age 56. Daughter of Howard and Arlene Rudd Ivison of Byron. Sister of Ken (Carole) Ivison, William (Bo) Ivison, Karen (Dave) Fuller and Jane Ivison. Best friend of Betty Bridgeman, Karen Tennity and Kate Wride. Also surviving are five nieces and nephews; seven great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Miss Ivison was a financial analyst for Monro Muffler.

CHURCHVILLE

•Dzula, Shirley A. (Dibble), December 6, 2009. Predeceased by her parents, Claude and Raida Dibble (Schweickhard); brothers, Claude and Harold Dibble. Survived by her loving son, Steven (Lois) Oas; loving daughters, Susan Johnson, Michele Nichols, Kimberly (Terry) Rabideau, Shannon Dzula, Nikole (Robert) Oakden; step-son, Steven Dzula III: sisters, Jane Barraford and Jean Dunn; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; aunt Jane Rudat.

Funeral Services were held December 12 at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece. Interment, Oatka Cemetery, Scottsville. Contributions can be made to the Pluta Cancer Center in her memory.


•Parry, Mary Jane, of Alabama, formerly of Churchville, November 24, 2009 at age 94. Predeceased by husband, Enoch W. Parry. Survived by sons, E. Wesley II (Ruth) of Alabama and George M. (Sandra) Parry of Churchville; four grandsons, E. Wesley III (Deana), Thomas (Silke), David and Nathan and five great-grandsons. She was a longtime Deputy Town Clerk for the Town of Riga and bookkeeper at Churchville Tire and Supply.

Interment will be at Lake View Cemetery in Groveland at the convenience of the family.


HAMLIN

•Lasch, Wilma (Klafehn), December 3, 2009, age 87. Predeceased by her husband, Frederick. Survived by her children, Judy Hazen, Dick (Diane) Lasch, Jean (Dennis) Boldt, Jan (Herb) Meissner and Joyce Lasch; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

HILTON

•Greiner, Edward J., December 6, 2009 at the age of 41. Predeceased by his father, Merlin Edward Greiner. Ed is survived by his mother, Dolores; children, Joshua and Shayna Greiner; sisters, Jeanette Bandemer and Delores Goforth.

His Funeral Mass was said December 12 at Peace of Christ Parish at St. Ambrose Church, Rochester. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the College Education Fund for his children, c/o Delores Goforth, 1000 North River Street, Suite 123, Rochester 14612 in his memory.


•Nau, Louis F., December 2, 2009 at age 83. He is survived by his wife, Katie A. (Jaworski); four sons, Louis, Frank (Lori), Andy, Paul (Connie) Nau; two daughters, Jackie Doty and Katie Nau; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Slocumb; brother, Jack Nau; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Jean Goodwin.

Service and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.


NORTH CHILI

•Dobelstein, Paul R., died November 14, 2009. Survived by his brother, Andrew Dobelstein of North Carolina; and Mary Jane Reed; families and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held December 14, 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church, North Chili.


•Maynard, Evelyn R. (McNeil), December 6, 2009 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by husband, Albert C. Maynard. She is survived by daughter, Bernita Maynard; granddaughter Crystal (Mark) Long; great-grandson, Joshua Long; siblings, Doris Cowd, Jack (Margaret) McNeil, Irvine McNeil and Mary (Gary) Bohme; many nieces and nephews.

Interment will be held privately. A Memorial Service will be held at the Spencerport Wesleyan Church, 2653 Nichols Street, Spencerport at a later date. Contributions can be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Upstate New York Chapter, 3300 Monroe Avenue, Suite 319, Rochester, NY 14618 in her memory.


•Minardo, Barbara J., October 30, 2009, at age 74. Graduated from Nazareth Academy, retiree of RG&E, cancer survivor.

A Memorial Service was held December 12 at Falvo Funeral Home, Rochester. Private interment, White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford.
