Sweden justice has no opposition

Sweden Justice Mark Depferd is running unopposed in the November 7 election. Depferd was appointed to the justice seat on May 9, following the retirement of Justice Robert Hall who died recently. A win on November 7 will mean that Depferd will complete the remaining three years of the four-year position.

Depferd, a Republican, is a graduate of Brockport High School, Mon-roe Community College and SUNY Brockport. He served in the army during the 1960s and spent 20 years as a Monroe County sheriff’s deputy before retiring. Currently, Depferd works as the security coordinator for Genesee Management.
