Fruit sale benefits school music group

The Spencerport Music Association (SMA) Annual Fruit Sale is the primary fund-raising vehicle for this organization of parents, teachers and community members. Proceeds from the sale go toward scholarships for graduating seniors majoring in music, music assemblies, incentive awards, support for ensemble performance trips, refreshments at concerts, the high school music recognition banquet, co-sponsorship of the SpenceRPOrt Concert Connection Series and general support toward the music education program in Spencerport.

The sale ends November 8. Band and chorus students are canvassing the community hoping to increase sales. All orders must be placed and prepaid by November 8.

Fruit will be available for pick-up on Saturday, December 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Colby Farm Market.

Craig and Joann Coon are co-chairmen of the fruit sale committee for the second year.
