Citizens Police Academy offered by Ogden Police

Ogden Police will offer their fifth Citizens Police Academy in January 2001 and is open to Ogden residents (including the Village of Spencerport) and business owners.

The class meets for three hours on Wednesday evenings for 11 weeks. Topics covered include information about the criminal justice system and the policies and procedures of the agencies that make up this system.

The ultimate goal of the Citizens Police Academy is the reduction of crime and stronger citizen commitment to the police department and the community, according to Ogden Police officials. Classes will involve instruction by police officers from the Town of Ogden Police Department, speakers from the Monroe County District Attorney's office and other criminal justice agencies.
