AREA

•Woodward, Nellie Jackson, at age 92, December 6, 2000 in Florida. She is predeceased by her two husbands, Willett Jackson and Clarence K. Woodward. She is survived by her children, James A. (Carol) Jackson of Spencerport, Mrs. Henry (Jean) A. Klein, Mrs. Kenneth (Joan) Ferris, Mrs. Celia K. Ponton all of Florida and Mrs. Lyle (Linnett) DeMocker of Fairport; two sisters-in-law; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at Garland Cemetery.


BROCKPORT

•Chapman, Edward L., December 3, 2000. Survived by his wife, Josephine C. Chapman; sons, Edward (Laura) Chapman and John (Eleanor) Conrad; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held December 15 at the Brockport Methodist Church. Contributions can be made to the Alzhiemer's Association.


•Cottom, Donald E., On Sunday, December 10, 2000. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Lou; his children, Steven (Jane), Cynthia (Gary) Warboys, Kathleen (Carl) Lawrenz and Daniel (Karen); 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Agnes (Robert) Reynolds.

Funeral Services were held December 13 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment in the spring of the year at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Lakeside Memorial Hospital ICU.


•Desfosses, Louis R., Ph.D., on December 9, 2000 at the age of 63. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Judith Anne Desfosses; his children, Julie Desfosses, Louis (Bev) Desfosses of Rochester, Suzanne (Aaron) Gilliam of Hilton; grandchildren Aaron and Samantha Gilliam. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Stephania Desfosses. Survived by brothers, Robert (Caroline) of Florida, Donald (Joan) of Connecticut; sisters, Anne (William) Barnes of Hong Kong, Helen Desfosses of Albany, Theresa Desfosses, brother, Phillip (Margaret) of Maine; several nieces and nephews. Dr. Desfosses was a professor at SUNY Brockport in the study of Business in Economics since 1979.

A Funeral Mass was said December 15 at The Church of the Nativity, Main Street, Brockport. Interment at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made to G.R.H.C. Hospice or The Church of The Nativity.


CHURCHVILLE

•Greene, Monica S. (Schur), December 7, 2000 at age 81. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles M. Greene. She is survived by her son, Stephen J. (Sara) Greene of Michigan; three grandchildren; her sister, Rita (George) Smith of Spencerport; her brother, Patrick (Mary) Schur of Churchville; her special friend, Kaye Elkins of Churchville; many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was held December 9 at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Churchville. Interment St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery. Contributions can be made to GRHCA/Inpatient Hospice Unit in her memory.


HAMLIN

•Straub, Irma M., December 8, 2000 at age 93. She is survived by her devoted friends, Jim and Sandy Nichols and family; Irma (Raymond) Badge.

A Private Funeral Service was held at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home Inc., Hilton. Interment Parma Union Cemetery. Those wishing can make contributions to the Rochester Humane Society or a favored animal charity in her memory.


HOLLEY

•DeLaura, Mario, At age 96, on December 12, 2000 fol-lowing a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Viola (Ward) DeLaura of Holley and their three sons, Mario D. (Linda) DeLaura of Hamlin, Kenneth L. DeLaura of Greece and Gary L. (Cindy) DeLaura of Albion. Also surviving are six grandchildren; several brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service was held December 15 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Holley. Interment, Hillside Cemetery in the spring. Those wishing can make memorial remembrances to Disciples Methodist Church in his memory.


•Germeo, Angelo "Peter," Age 78, died suddenly, December 6, 2000. Mr. Germeo was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Holley and past Vestryman. He was a member of the Holley Fire Department, National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, the Orleans County Federation of Sportsmen, a life member of the Holley Rod and Gun Club, NRA. He was the Orleans County Coordinator for the Hunter Training Program and was an instructor for about 45 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and survived the landing at Omaha Beach. He was a life member of the Sheret Post #35 American Legion and the V.F.W. Post 2890 of Brockport.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ellen; one nephew; three nieces; uncle, Nicholas Paduano of Holley; brothers-in-law, Vincent DeVincolis of Florida, Alfred O. Conn of Hilton; sister-in-law, Geraldine Baron of Holley; several cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Harold R. Germeo Sr. and his wife, Anna Mae Germeo; sister, Lydia Germeo DeVincolis.

A Funeral Service was held December 9 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, Inc., Holley. Spring interment Hillside Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Holley Emergency Squad, Holley Rod and Gun Club, Murray-Holley Historical Society or St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Holley.


•Tice, William, age 77, peacefully on December 10, 2000. Mr. Tice was predeceased by his wife, Gladys, in April 1998. He is survived by his children, David (Florence) Tice of Holley, Dixie (Paul) Mayes of Kendall, Marsha (Dan) Crawford of Byron, Steven Tice of California, Susan (Doug) Lake of Albion, Jack Tice of California, Judy (Roger) Rice of Holley, Vickie (Tom) Seiler of Holley, Linda (Tom) Flow of Holley; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Retiree of GE and Black and Decker, Brockport. He was a member of the VFW Jewell Buckman Post, Holley and a member of the Holley Rod and Gun Club.

Funeral Services were held December 13 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Holley. Interment, Hillside Cemetery in the spring. Memorial remembrances can be made to Hospice of Genesee County or New York State Veteran's Home.


NORTH CHILI

•DeBellis, Clara, December 12, 2000. Beloved Mother of Gloria and Charles Higgins and Carol and Kenneth Brooks; grandmother of six; great grandmother of five; sister and sister-in-law of Sylvia and Orlie Francione, Rose DeBellis, Maryjane D'Andreano, Ann LaDelfa, Joseph and Joyce DeBellis, Sam and Rita DeBellis; and special friend Mabel Rockefeller; several nieces and nephews .

•Canham, Norrine N. (Grein), Suddenly, on December 6, 2000. Predeceased by her husband, John R. Grein Sr. Survived by her children, John (Joan) Grein Jr., Jane M. Grein and Brian C. Canham; grandson, Jason Grein; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

•Cliff, Chris C., Sunday, December 10, 2000 at age 48. He was predeceased by his father, Charles E. Cliff and his brother, Gus. He is survived by two sons, Shaun and Brian Cliff and their mother, Marge (Brown) Cliff; his mother, Winifred Cliff; three sisters, Cheryl Sauter (Tom Doran), Catherine Bopp (Bill Gerhardt) and Carrie Cliff (Steve Orman); nieces and nephews, Norbert (Rosa) Sauter Jr., Lynette (Patrick) Cliff, Bill (Kathy) Bopp, Jr., Tim (Donna) Bopp, Robert Bopp (Debbie Ferrante), Tom (Valerie) Bopp, Tammy (Scott) French, Amy Cliff, Charlie Cliff, Terry Cliff (Al Alletto); great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

•Geer, Vera (Faker), December 9, 2000, at age 95. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter L. Geer and her daughter, Sarah Jane Stevenson. She is survived by two sons, Richard (Carol) Geer of Spencerport and John (Lynda) Geer of Ohio; two daughters, Margaret Stelljes of Chili and Joyce (Frank) Thompson of North Greece; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her son-in-law, Richard Stevenson; a brother and a sister, several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service was held December 13 at the Greece Assembly of God Church. Interment, Falls Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance in her memory.


•Webster, Wilhelmina "Billie," November 30, 2000 at the age of 90. Formerly of Spencerport, passed away in Florida. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Gerald Webster; her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald Jr. and Monica Webster; her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and John MacMillan of Florida; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; her sisters, Fanny Gavigan and Ida Grace Smith.

Service and interment were held in Florida. Contri-butions can be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.
