Blue Devils girls volleyball

The Brockport Blue Devils varsity girl's volleyball team throttled Spencerport 15-2, 15-2, and 15-2 on December 9 at home. Senior co-captain Meghan Schuth served the final eight points of the second game and added eight digs during the match. Juniors Kristi Rath and Mindi D'Agostino had eight and seven digs respectively while senior Stephanie Ayres had five kills, two blocks and an ace. Junior Lynn Sorel had four kills and senior Dawn McCrudden added five kills and two blocks. For the Rangers, junior Megan Kelley had an ace in the second game.

Blue Devils coach Mary Lou Blodgett was obviously happy with the victory, "With two players that are 6 feet tall and another at 5'11", we had a size advantage today and they were not passing the ball well. It's hard to run an offense if the passing is off. We should be one of the top three teams in the county. Webster at this point of the season is better than we are, but who knows what will happen down the road."
