RWCCT
presents Brigadoon

Roberts Wesleyan College Community Theater starts its fourth season with the Lerner and Loewe blockbuster, "Brigadoon." Tommy Albright and Jeff Douglas, two American tourists, stumble into this quaint Scottish town that only reawakens one day every 100 years.

Besides bringing an exceptional story with an exceptional cast to Monroe County, the RWCCT is reaching out to the non-hearing members of the community. Luane Davis, the director, is an assistant professor at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at RIT. Cast members Eddie Yee and Selene Alverio are deaf, while two other cast members, Pam Sollitto and Andrew Malcolm, are hearing impaired. The January 20 production at 7:30 p.m. will be interpreted for the deaf.

Greece resident Karl Erik Jansson is musical director. BOCES 1 teacher Judith Shomper, who is known to the Wheatland-Chili community as the director of this year's spring musical, "Snoopy! The Musical," lends her theatrical expertise and organization skills to the organization in her role as assistant director.

"Brigadoon" will be performed at the Roberts Wesleyan Cultural Life Center, 2301 Westside Drive, North Chili, January 19, 20 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m. and January 21 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available by calling the box office at 594-6008.
