Another All-America Team for Brockport's Josh Warner

Senior played in Division III All-Star game

Senior offensive tackle Josh Warner of the SUNY Brockport football team has been named to his third All-America team in the past week.

Warner was honored December 18 as a first-team member of the d3football.com All-America team. Earlier this post-season, he was named a first-team selection by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and a second-team choice by the Hewlett Packard All-America team. The USAfootball.com and Football Gazette All-America teams are due out shortly.

A starter since the end of his freshman year, Warner did not allow a sack over his final three seasons and anchored an offensive line that many experts considered one of the best in the East. The Golden Eagles averaged 177 yards rushing and 171 passing in a balanced offensive year that was the greatest season in school history. Brockport went 8-0 and earned its first NCAA playoff berth as the top seed in the East Region.

Warner played on the left side of Brockport's offensive line. On December 16, he played in the Aztec Bowl, a meeting of the Division III All-America Team and the Mexican National Team in Merida, Mexico. The USA squad won the game, 27-26.

During the course of the year, Warner was live-scouted by 14 NFL teams, including the world champion St. Louis Rams and his favorite tam, the Philadelphia Eagles. He is expected to be a late-round draft choice or an NFL free agent.
