The Spencerport Sports Booster Club is sponsoring Toys for Sports, a toy show and auction fundraiser that will benefit the district's athletic programs. The show, featuring antique and modern toys, sports cards and collectibles, will be held on Saturday, April 7 at Cosgrove Middle School.

The booster club is now contracting with vendors for the show. Vendors interested in table information, contracts and auction information can contact Bob Persia, 349-5354 or 352-5498.

Persia, a psychologist at the middle school and a toy collector since 1994, came up with the idea for Toys for Sports. "This is a good fit for me," he says of the fundraiser, especially since his two children, both Spencerport students, can participate. Sherrie Simpson is working closely with Persia to organize the event.
