Churchville-Chili announces budget planning schedule

Next month, the Churchville-Chili Board of Education begins the process of developing a budget for the 2001-2002 school year.

Community members are invited to participate in the process throughout the discussion stages. In particular, residents who want to comment on a budget area should attend the February 13 or March 13 meeting or should send information and ideas to Ralph Smith preceding those meetings. An input form is available in Central Office, in the buildings and on the web site. To review the total draft budget, including projected revenues and tax rates, a resident should attend the March 27 meeting. Residents can call Superintendent Mary Alice Price at 293-1800 extension 2300 or Assistant Superintendent Ralph Smith at 293-1800 extension 2320 with questions or comments regarding the budget development process.

The Board of Education expects to adopt the budget on April 10. The annual district meeting and budget vote will take place on May 15.
