AREA

Beaney, Ruth (Tosh), January 5, 2001 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband, Charles and her sons, Calvin and Alan. Survived by her son, Harry (Nancy) Beaney; grandchildren, Scott (Anna) Beaney, Lori (Gary) Tobin, Pamela Beaney, Charles (Tammy) Beaney, Alan (Connie) Beaney, Kathy Beaney, Karen Beaney; step-grandchildren, Lori Pierce and Tamara Jones; four great grandchildren and five great step-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held January 27 at Ogden Baptist Church, Spencerport. Contributions can be made to the General Memorial Fund of Ogden Baptist Church.


Blickwede, Lawrence W., January 21, 2001. Predeceased by his parents, George and Helen Blickwede and sister, Marilyn Schickler. Survived by two sisters, Barbara A. Blickwede and Mary K. Castelein; one brother, George A. (Patricia) Blickwede; brother-in-law, Edward Schickler; several nieces and nephews; grandnieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass was said January 24 at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Genesee Region Home Care, 70 Metro Park, 14623.


ALBION

Gillette, Amos, on January 18, 2001, formerly of Albion, at the age of 87 in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Gillette was the son of the late Lowe (Martha Root) Gillette and was born on April 23, 1913 in the Town of Barre.

During his lifetime, Mr. Gillette held many jobs from farming on the family farm to working at the Brockport college. His civic involvement carried a lot of pride with Mr. Gillette being a member of the Barre Fire Department, a lifetime member of the Albion Fire Department, a 35 year member of the BPOE Elks Lodge #1006, a 45-year member of the Albion Masons and was a member of the Odd Fellows. Mr. Gillette was predeceased by his parents; two brothers and his wife, Margery in 1988. He is survived by his children, Darla Thompson of Florida, and Gordon (Connie) Gillette of Corning; three grandchildren, Christopher Thompson, Matthew Gillette and Andrew (Jennifer) Gillette; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held January 27 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Albion. Interment at Mt. Albion Cemetery. Those wishing can make memorial remembrances to the American Lung Association.


BROCKPORT

Freer, Richard M., January 9, 2001. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services and interment at the convenience of the family. Memorials can be made to the Lakeside-Beikirch Care Center.


CHILI

Zoberbier, Josephine G. (Mazzucco), January 18, 2001. Predeceased by her husband, Earl Zoberbier. Survived by her daughter, Joyce (Don) Coluzzi; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances DelVecchio and Phyllis Rizzo; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was held January 22 at Holy Apostles Church. Entombment White Haven Memorial Park. Donations can be sent to Holy Apostles Church, 7 Austin Street, Rochester 14606 in her memory.


CHURCHVILLE

Brown, Mahlon E. "Brownie," January 19, 2001 at 82 years. He was predeceased by his first wife of 53 years, Mary and his daughter, Joan Acton. He is survived by his wife, Hazel (Adams) Brown; his son, Paul E. of Spencerport; his brother, Donald (Marion) of Warsaw; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service was held January 22 at the Walker Brothers Company Funeral Home Inc., Churchville. Interment Creekside Cemetery. Those wishing can make contributions to the Union Congregational UCC Memorial Fund or Churchville Fire Department Ambulance in his memory.


HILTON

Jennejahn, Frederick L., January 16, 2001 under the loving support of his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary Bess and children, Robert P. Jennejahn, Christel (Michael) Ingham, Laurel (Amir) Khiabani and Kara (Robert) Malyk; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Betty (Charles) Fiegl and Shirley Chattin; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hilton Fire Department Exempts and Hilton Rotary.

A Funeral Service was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hilton on January 20. Contributions can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, New Sanctuary Fund in his memory.


HOLLEY

Farino, Francis J., Virginia Beach, Virginia, USN (ret.) 69, peacefully January 22, 2001 following a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gwen Preston Farino; two daughters and their husbands, Carol (Wayne) Wright of Virginia Beach, Linda (John) Connor of Virginia Beach; three sons and their wives, Dales (Julie) Farino of Virginia Beach, Mark (Lindsay) Farino of Portola Valley, California, Douglas (Diane) Farino of Virginia Beach; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Emanuele and Rena Farino of Holley; one brother, Lee Farino of New Jersey; other family members and special friends. Capt. Farino was born in Holley. He was a U. S. Naval Academy graduate, class of 1955, with a master's degree from George Wash-ington University. He served as a submarine officer in the United States Navy for 28 years.

A Mass of the Resurrection was conducted January 25 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Virginia Beach. A Chapel service will be conducted February 7 at Fort Myers Chapel at Arlington National Cemetery followed by burial with full military honors.
