technology certificate program

SUNY College at Brockport, in collaboration with Element K Learning Center (formerly Ziff-Davis Education Center), continues to offer a certificate program designed to provide individuals with the skills necessary to gain entry-level employment in the information technology (IT) profession. Classes begin every month.

Programs vary in length with the average student completing classroom requirements in five to six months. Classes are held during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Various program tracks are offered, including Technical Support with A+ Certification, Network Administration, Fundamental IT Skills, Web Design and Web Development. Programs can be custom designed to meet each student's needs and goals. The program offers other enhancements such as on-site labs, career advisement and assistance, and a "soft-skills" class.
