The Brockport Blue Devils girls volleyball team defeated Churchville-Chili 15-3, 15-5, 15-10 in the Sectional Quarterfinals and advanced to a semi-final match with Greece Arcadia.

Following relatively easy wins in the first two games, the Saints went on an 8-1 run in the third game and Brockport found themselves trailing 10-8. But they rebounded by scoring the final seven points of the game including senior Dawn McCrudden's ace for the final point on just her third serve of the year after Brockport ran out of substitutions.

Junior Kim Demmans had 33 assists, 6 kills and 5 aces to pace the attack for the Blue Devils. Senior Jamie Bahr added 9 digs on defense and junior Lynn Sorel had 6 kills and 2 aces.

For the Saints, seniors Carol Brewer had 11 kills and 9 digs, Jenna Coriddi had 12 assists and 10 digs and Emily Horsington added 7 digs and 4 aces in their final game.
