Senior Jason Phillips and sophomore Zach Grobengieser each were double winners as the Spencerport boys swim team defeated Gates-Chili 103-76 and won the Section V Division II crown on January 30.

Phillips won the 200-yard Medley in 2:15.56 and the 100-yard freestyle in 51.27 while Grobengieser won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:50.86 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:10.17. Other individual winners for the Rangers were sophomore Brent Smith in diving with a combined score of 149.85 points, senior Doug Markant in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:11.07 and senior Drew Grobengieser in the 100 yard butterfly in 57.02.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of both Grobengiesers with Phillips and senior Juan Sanchez won in 1:34.64.

The Sectional meet will take place February 15 and 17 at SUNY Brockport.
