Mark Filotas, son of Frank and Joanne Filotas, Larkwood Drive, Greece, has been named to the fall 2000 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. Filotas, a sophomore and 1999 graduate of Spencerport High School, is a business/management major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.3 grade-point average for the semester.


Timothy Frederick Tresohlavy, Cambridge Road, Hilton, was named to the president's high honors list at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse, NY.

Students recognized must receive a grade point average of 3.75 or better.


The following students enrolled in Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications were named to the dean's list for the 2000 fall semester: Jessica Martin, of Brockport; and Shawn Anderson, of Spencerport.


The following students enrolled in Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts were named to the dean's list for the 2000 fall semester: Michael Dennis, of Spencerport; Jillian Parkhurst, of Brockport; Anna Roggow, of Brockport; and Richard Ugino, of Hilton.


Barbara Jean Goodrich has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Elon College, North Carolina. She was also awarded a Presidential Scholarship. Goodrich is the daughter of Richard and Donna Goodrich and a graduate of Holley High School.


The following Spencerport residents have been named to the dean's list at Canisius College for the fall 2000 semester: Nicole Keehley, a junior psychology major; Laurel McNall, a senior psychology major; and Daniel Surdyk, a freshman biology computer science major.


Meghan Ryan, Spencerport, was named to the dean's list at SUNY Plattsburgh for the fall 2000 semester.

During the spring 2001 semester, Ryan is doing an internship at the Canadian consulate in Boston, a continuation of work in her dual majors of Canadian studies and French language.


Robert Stevens, majoring in elementary education at Grove City College, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2000 semester. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary R. Stevens of Brockport.


Area residents attending the University at Buffalo have been named to the dean's list for the fall 2000 semester for achieving a grade-point-average of 3.6 or higher.

Roberts Wesleyan College appointed John Walker to serve as associate director for its Master of Science in Management Program. Walker, who will continue to serve as an assistant professor in the MSM program, brings considerable professional and instructional experience to this new role.

Walker holds a bachelor of science in industrial administration (1977) from Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute). He also holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (1995) from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Walden University in the Applied Management and Decision Sciences Program, with a specialization in Leadership and Organizational Change.

Walker's community associations include Board of Directors of Charles G. Finney Corporate High School, Monroe Community College Vocational Education - Advisory Committee, and the American Society of Trainers & Developers (ASTD). Walker also serves as pastor of Faith Christian Center in Rochester.

He lives in Rochester with his wife, Jane, and their children.


Amy Knight, an elementary education major and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Knight of Spencerport, has been named to the fall 2000 dean's list at Grove City College.


Irene L. Ashker has been promoted in the U.S. Air Force to the rank of major. Ashker is a utilization management chief with the 56th Medical Group at Luke Air Force Base, Phoenix, Arizona. She is the daughter of Margit Osborne of Lockport, and sister of Carolyn Schubel of Brockport.


Army Warrant Officer 1 Jeffrey T. Raglan has arrived for duty at Camp Humphreys, Pyongtaek-Gun, South Korea. Raglan is an AH-64A Apache helicopter pilot assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 6th Cavalry. The officer has served on active duty for more than 11 years. He is the son of Richard C. Raglan of Holley, and Donna L. Wells of Medina.
