Leadership gift made to Lakeside capital campaign

The largest gift ever made to Lakeside Health System and to Lakeside's "Building for the Next Generation" Capital Campaign has been made by an active volunteer.

Alice Dutcher is presently Chair of the Lakeside Health System Board of Governors. She played a key role in the development of the health system's governance structure and was a leader in bringing all the Lakeside corporations together with one vision and strategic plan. She has been a key counsel to Lakeside leadership and at the same time volunteers once a week at the front desk providing directions to visitors.

During the last campaign, Dutcher and her good friend, Jean Dillenbeck, gave a generous gift. When Dutcher became a beneficiary of Dillenbeck's estate, she set up an Irrevocable Charitable Remainder Trust for Lakeside and has dedicated approximately $10,000 a year of its income to the capital campaign.

"I just want to do my part to keep our community hospital and I believe in the hospital's motto keeping quality care close to home," Dutcher said. She hopes her gift will inspire others to give generously and help Lakeside build for the next generation.
