Workshop on Dying with Dignity
sponsored by Monroe County Office of the Aging

The Monroe County Office for the Aging will present a videotaped series on "Dying with Dignity" on four consecutive Thursdays starting April 5 at the Rotary Camp Cabin at Camp Eastman. The videotape and a facilitated discussion will run 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Refreshments will be served at 8:30 a.m.

The series was produced by Bill Moyers for the Public Broadcasting Station (PBS). The topics include: April 5: "Living with Dying" - Learning to openly talk about dying; April 12: "A Different Kind of Care" - Comfort care at the end of life; April 19: A Death of One's Own - Facing end of life choices; April 26: "A Time to Change" - Changing America's overburdened health system.

Topics are independent of each other so participants can register for as many sessions as appropriate. The suggested donation is $3 per week, or $10 for all four components. Call 428-4977 to register.

Camp Eastman is located off Lakeshore Boulevard in the Town of Irondequoit.
