"WHO REPRESENTS YOU in 2001," the League of Women Voters' popular guide to elected officials for Monroe County, became available in local libraries in March. This free list of phone numbers and addresses includes the U.S. President, state representatives and senators, county legislators, city council members, town supervisors and village mayors. The pamphlet was financed by a grant from the Democrat and Chronicle in partnership with the Gannett Foundation.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization which works to encourage informed citizen participation in government and politics and to influence public policy through education and advocacy. The League and legislators encourage people to keep in touch with their government.
