Jamie Dell (Churchville, Northstar H.S.) finished his Roberts Wesleyan College basketball career in the NAIA National Tournament. Dell played in all 33 games for Roberts as the Raiders (21-12) went to the NAIA National tournament for the first time in school history. The National tournament held at the College of the Ozark in Branson, Missouri boasts 32 of America's top NAIA Division II teams. The Raiders faced the #12 seed Mid America Nazarene University of Kansas (30-9) in the first round, losing to the eventual 2001 NAIA Runner-ups.

The Raiders won the Northeast Atlantic Conference to earn a birth to the Nationals. For Roberts this marks the first NAIA Conference championship under Coach George Sisson. The Raiders finish the season 21-12 tying a school record with wins in a season joining former Raider teams (93, 97) who also had 21 wins in a season.

Dell was named to the LeMoyne College Tournament (Dec. 12, 13) All-Tournament team averaging 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds for the tournament. Dell was also named NAIA Northeast Atlantic Conference Player of the Week for February 4, NCCAA Player of the Week for February 25, NCCAA Special Mention Player of the Week 3 times (January 29, February 4, and February 18), and was a NAIA National Player of the Week Nominee for February 4.
