AREA

•Marriott, Charles G. Jr., 34, (formerly of Holley), on April 9, 2001 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Charles is the son of Charles (Bessie) Marriott of Holley. He was born on October 17, 1966 in the town of Lowville and moved here with his parents when he was a young child.

He is survived by his parents, Charles (Bessie) Marriott, and his brothers and sisters, Rick (Vickie) Marriott of Virginia, George (Rhonda) Marriott of Murray, Wade Marriott of Rochester, Cindy (Joe) Dietz of Spencerport and Cheryl (Pete) Dunn of Murray. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held April 12 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Albion. Burial was at the convenience of the family.


BROCKPORT

•Pum, Margaret E. (Hetzler), On April 8, 2001 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband, Walfred. Survived by her daughters, Virginia (Paul) Gears and Marjorie Merzke; son, Fred (Nancy) Pum; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, William (Margaret) Pum; sisters-in-law, Hilda (Karol) Anders, Dorothy Pum, and Louise Pawlik of Australia; nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service was said April 11 at the Church of the Nativity B.V.M., Main Street, Brockport. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery. Those wishing can make donations to Lakeside Beikirch Care Center.


CHILI

•Breiner, Frank, April 3, 2001, age 82, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he was a resident. In the summer he vacationed in Chili. He was a builder and land developer mainly in Spencerport. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy; his daughter, Barbara and her husband, Jack Beagle; his sister, Dorothy Wittman; a host of nephews, nieces and friends, including special friends, Bob and Delores Kent of Honeoye.

A Funeral Mass will be announced at a later date. Masses can be offered or contributions can be made to St. Vincent De Paul Church in Churchville 14428.


•Murant, Mary Ann, April 8, 2001. She is survived by her son, Dick (Linda) Clifford of Brockport; several grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren and her sister.

A Graveside Service was held April 11 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Section 33. Contributions may be made to Lakeside Hospital in her memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Cobb, Eleanor C., April 9, 2001 at age 72. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Thomas C. Cobb; two sisters, Rosanna Bartell of California and Lorraine (Edward) Lake of Georgia; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Co. and volunteered at Park Ridge Nursing Home.

A Funeral Mass was said April 11 at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Churchville. Interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the Churchville Fire Department/Ambulance in her memory.


•Riley, Berneda T. (Wood), April 4, 2001 following a prolonged illness. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles J. Riley; three daughters, Patricia Smith of Rochester, Susan (Daryl) Prevost of North Chili and Berneda Tascione and Michael Dunphrey of Rochester; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her sister, Peg Nesbitt; her dear friends, Joey Tascione, Rita and Harwood Prevost; several nephews. She was Past Matron of Nola Chapter #368 O.E.S.

A Funeral Service was held April 7 at Union Congregational UCC, Churchville. Interment Mt. Rest Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Con-tributions can be made to the Memorial Fund of Union Congregational UCC in her memory.


HAMLIN

•Fostano, Linda J. (Huff), April 3, 2001 at the age of 45. She is survived by her beloved husband, Chuck; daughters, Andria (Jason) Sorah, Brittney Fostano, Laura Turner, Dawn Luce and Christie Cottom; son, Tony Fostano; granddaughters, Mariah and Kylie; sisters, Mary Ellen (Melvin) Harlan, Donna (James) Mulcahy and Patricia (Gerard) Sommers; brothers, Timothy (Jean), Ronald (Katie) Huff; several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A Funeral Service was held April 7 at the Newman Oratory, Brockport. Interment at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made to her family.

•Kuhn, Richard L. "Dick," Peacefully, March 21, 2001, with the love and support of his family surrounding him. He is predeceased by sister, Ruth Kuhn (1914); brothers, William Kuhn (1988) and Bernard Kuhn (2000). He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alma C. Kuhn; daughters, Nancy Kuhn (William White) and Donna (William) Smith; devoted granddaughters, Ingrid Bradler (Phankham Sangay) and Lindsay Smith; several relatives and many special friends.

A Funeral Mass was said April 14 at St. Leo Catholic Church, Hilton. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to VNS Hospice, or favorite charity in his memory.


•Smith, Katherine R., Peacefully, April 3, 2001. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Smith (1926-1991). She is survived by her children, Loretta Benway, Russell (Joyce) Smith, Larry (Linda) Smith, Gary Smith, Keith (Edith) Smith and Terry (Nora) Smith; brother, Kenneth (Carolyn) Ophardt and Howard (Jackie) Ophardt; sisters-in-law, Velma Maxwell and Doris Avel; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.

•Barilla, Michael L., April 7, 2001. •DeFrank, Joseph Sr., Age 95, died peacefully at his home April 4, 2001. Survived by loving wife, Florence; sons, Joseph (Beryl) DeFrank Jr., Dale (Ellen) DeFrank, Gary DeFrank, Roger (Kathy) DeFrancesco, Scott DeFrancesco, Todd DeFrank; daughter, Madelyn Welsh; several grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A private service was conducted at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Holley at the convenience of the family. Interment in Hillside Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Orleans County or Holley Emergency Squad.

•Fox, Sister Carol RSM, April 9, 2001. Survived by brothers, Herbert (Lois) Fox of Wilmington, North Carolina, Robert Fox of Webster; sisters Lorraine Kirkingburg of Albemarle, North Carolina, Billie (Donald) Estey of Rochester, Beverly (Karl) Jacobs of Maryville, Tennessee; and brother, William (Dorothy) Fox of Dexter, New York; several nieces and nephews; loving and blessed friend, Chris McCabe and the Sisters of Mercy. Preceded in death by father and mother William and Violet Fox, and sisters, Violet Darling and Jeanneta Fox..

•Ives, Erika J., Went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 5, 2001. Predeceased by her husband, Donald Ives. Survived by her sister, Lisa Rueckert; brothers, Heinz (Eva) Schroeder and Ernst (Renate) Schroeder; 5 nieces, 5 nephews; her brother-in-law, Robert (Marie) Ives; sister-in-law, Bette (Angus) Hopkins. She will be missed by many loving friends, neighbors and family.

A Memorial Service was held April 7 at The United Methodist Church of North Chili. Contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice in her memory.


SPENCERPORT

•Muszak, John J., April 5, 2001 at age 85. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Stella "Joan" Muszak; his children, Janice (Joseph) Scoppa of Spencerport, Martin (Kay) Muszak of Irondequoit and James (Kim) Muszak of Spencerport; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; five sisters, Kay Lissow, Virginia and Dorothy Muszak, Bernice Marianetti and Florence (Ralph) Andrade; several nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company.

A Funeral Mass was held April 9 at St. John's Church, Spencerport. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Contribu-tions can be made to Lakeside Foundation, 156 West Avenue, Brockport 14420 in his memory.
