wins 4th Percussion Circuit Championship

On Sunday, April 1, the Hilton High School Drumline of the Crimson Cadets Marching Band won their fourth consecutive New York State Percussion Circuit Championship. This was their fifth state title in the last six years. The Drumline also won Best Tenor Line, Best Bass Drum Line, Best Cymbal Line, and Best Pit Ensemble. Also, the Hilton High School Concert Percussion Ensemble won first place in their division. The Crimson Cadets performed at the event as well, and provided a backdrop for the closing award ceremonies.

The Hilton Drumline entered the competition tied with Jordan-Elbridge High School, a school district near Auburn, from the previous week. On Sunday, the Drumline edged Jordan-Elbridge by just 0.3 point out of a possible 100 point score. This was the closest finish in the NYSPC history, said Tim Stodd, Marching Band Director.
