Blue Devils allow five-run 6th inning

Tied 6-6 after five innings, the Brockport Blue Devils baseball team committed three errors and allowed five runs in the sixth inning in an 11-6 Webster victory April 9.

Freshman Andy Parrino started for Brockport and allowed just two earned runs and four hits while striking out four in his five innings of work before the floodgates opened. Sophomore Casey Balog went 4-4 to pace the 13-hit attack. Junior Jeremy Murray went 2-4 with two runs scored and sophomore Phil St. Amant was 2-4 with two RBI for the Blue Devils.

Brockport head coach Brian Jones said afterward, "I told these guys that, with our pitching, if we don't catch the ball, we'll be in trouble. Those three errors in the sixth inning cost us a chance to win."
