Environmental Fair combines fun with message

Hilton's Quest Elementary School annually holds an Environmental Fair on or around Earth Day where children and parents can participate in numerous games, challenges and courses in ecological and environmental action. Among the games was this "Amazing Environmental Obstacle Course" in which student Meghan McSorley navigated various forms of recyclables, picking up some with a plastic bag. The fair also featured "The Claw," a hydraulic arm built of light-weight wood and rubber bands operated by fluid hydraulics, a device built by teacher Darrel Dupra's students last year; Hilton Historical Mini-Golf game created by teacher Suzanne Monagan's students; and a recyclable cans-plastic-paper "arcade" game.
