Freshman Sara Hinrichs (Hamlin) went 2-for-3 and sophomore Kristen Clark (Hilton) scattered eight hits over seven innings, but it wasn't enough as the SUNY Brockport softball team fell to the Cortland Red Dragons, 3-0, in the semifinals of the SUNYAC Championships. The Golden Eagles finish the season 27-13 and may receive an ECAC berth.

Clark went the distance in the circle for Brockport, striking out two and walking just one. Brockport advanced to the semifinal game by defeating Fredonia on Friday (3-1) after losing to Cortland in the second round (5-0) earlier in the day. In the win against Fredonia, the Golden Eagles scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth to erase a 1-0 Fredonia lead.
