Byron-Bergen voters approve three percent increase

Byron-Bergen Central School District voters approved a $14.9 million budget on May 15 by a vote of 342 to 165. Voters also approved a $160,000 bus purchase by a vote of 349 to 159.

There were three candidates for three open school board seats. Elected were Gerald Sheridan with 510 votes, Daniel Morgan with 418 votes, and Eugene Penepent with 385 votes.
